Best places: Hiking areas in Frankenthal (Pfalz), Germany

👍 Really nice to go in the afternoon, mainly when we are approaching summer! The only downside is the flies that are everywhere and there is nothing you can do about it

👍👍 Contrary to what I thought, this was not built by the Romans, but by the third Reich. It was used as a place of gathering and propaganda. But nowadays it's a peaceful place and a good hiking spot. There is a nice view of the city and you can spend some time admitting the scenery.

👍 great views of Heidelberg. The walk up is a bit challenging but the views are worth it.

👍👍 Great breakfast buffet in a pleasant atmosphere. Delicious antipasti, everything fresh and homemade and arranged with lots of love. Only to recommend. A real asset for Hochstädten.

👍👍 Amazing site of physical history. Google maps will try to take you there but it will miss the small trail entrance just north of the hospital building. Follow the trail upwards, maps has an accurate pathing for trails but essentially just reach the hill top through several switch back trails

👍👍 A great game reserve with wild boars, goats, billy goats and mouflons. There are many paths through the forest and around the enclosure. There is also a small football field and a playground nearby.
