Best places: Airports in Oberallershausen, Germany

👍 Not a bad place to visit. The museum is located a kilometre or so from the closest S-bahn (Oberschleißheim). There's a locker room and cafe there, which serves hot drinks and baking goods (like pie, muffins, etc). I would highly suggest eating lunch before arriving, because the only hot meals served...

😠 Dated premises, mediocre controllers, expensive, bureaucratic. Ok for German GA standards but certainly very disappointing compared to US/international standards.

Modern airport with 2 terminals, linked by a covered atrium, a visitor center & an S-Bahn station.

Laid-back airport hotel offering a bar/restaurant & a lobby lounge, plus loaner bikes.

👍 Ganz pragmatisch betrachtet, ist es ein Stück Asphalt, der vom damaligen Flughafen absichtlich dort liegen gelassen wurde. Es gefällt mir trotzdem. Die Umgebung dort ist schön und ruhig, nicht viele Leute und überall nur Bäume und Felder.

😠 The surrounding residents, like me, cannot give this airfield a star. I had to choose one star, otherwise my post would not have appeared. The permanent presence of the fun pilots generates enormous noise. Many pilots don't follow regulations and fly too close to our homes. Especially at the weeken...

👍👍 In one word: perfect! Car dropped off.... Taken to the airport straight away, right at the correct check-in. Return journey: called.... Got there in 10 minutes.... Car was already ready to leave.
