👍👍 We were there for the open monument day and you could visit the old blacksmith shop and the children were allowed to forge themselves. I particularly liked the friendliness of the club members. A lot would be explained and it was a totally worthwhile trip.

👍👍 It is always fascinating how rich Cologne is in ancient evidence. This is the north wall of the ancient Cologne city fortifications. The Roman city wall was built from the 1st century and was around 4 km long in total. It included the ancient Colonia Claudia Ara Agrippinensium.

👍👍 Well-preserved castle ruins with tower. €2 entrance fee for the tower is reasonable. There is an adjacent snack bar and the prices are reasonable. The food was tasty. The castle complex is well maintained and the view is wonderful.

👍👍 Schöner Park mit tollen Ausblicken auf die Ruhr bis zur A52-Ruhrtalbrücke sowie nach Saarn und zum Ruhrwehr. Schade, dass der Bismarckturm so verfällt, aber auch so hat man schöne Ausblicke. In Kombination mit den Wegen unten an der Ruhr immer nett zum spazieren.
