👍 It's a very nice place. The place itself has a really good vibe and the amphitheater from the outside is incredible. I think it's a bit of a tragedy that the interior is used for concerts and operas because it's destroying a bit the ancient flair, I guess. Without the seats I probably would rate it...

😐 You have to realize this is not the actual balcony.....fictional story, but still a fun stop. Definitely a tourist trap, but if you know that going in tou won't be disappointed. Nice statue and plaque, with quote from the play. Gift shop.

👍👍 We came for the Mura festival, excellent food and tables in the shade of the foliage. But I must say that it is worth visiting the ramparts for a nice walk, or a picnic! Immersed in the city but outside and above it. Even at 35 degrees the breeze and the shade allow you to enjoy the beautiful day.

The best thing is to go by bike if you live nearby, or take the Verona bikes in the city center and pop into this magnificent place surrounded by nature. Also because there is no parking for cars, except along the road that leads to the site....

Built in the 16th century, this gate that resembles a Roman arch was once part of the city's walls.

👍 View from the outside as it was closed at the time of our visit. From the outside it appears imposing and beautiful to look at, oozing with history from its Roman origins. We will return another time to visit it internally.
