👍👍 Arguably one of the most serene bays, thriving with life. As serene as it gets, ended up attaining the state of zen for a novice. Enjoyed every minute, even racing against the rain to get into the car to head back home.

👍👍 A dam that was built in 1910, a very old engineering, prob the earliest engineering that NZL has ever done. It is one of 10 dams in Auckland, still providing water to Auckland people. At the moment it is about 72% full due to the drought. We really need to conserve water, water is precious.

👍👍 Beautiful walk all the way, pretty easy too, wouldn't recommend for strollers if you want to get to the falls. One thing rarely mentioned is to get to climb to the top of the waterfall, you have to cross a river by going over large rocks, so only attempt this if you're experienced or not going solo...

😠 Be VERY CAREFUL parking your rental here, we did so and returned from what was a lovely view to our car broken into and all our belongings gone. Thieves know rentals because they don't have alarm systems, ours was not the only one to be targeted, another couple with a rental were hit too.

😠 The playground itself was pretty cool but it was a tip. People leave their trash on the ground, bins were over flowing and dog poo's everywhere in the grass. A water main leak flooded grass areas and the place was left in a disgusting state. These people should be ashamed of themselves. I could not...

👍 Fields were good considering it's almost end of season and toilets were very clean.

😠 Would be good if people cleaned up after their dogs. Sick of that soft feeling under my shoes and then another 30mins scraping it off. The park is getting a nickname "dogs***" Park.
