👍👍 The castle (fort) was built over the ruins of roman temple of Neptune, which had been built over punic ruins. Due to erosion the place is not sccessible from the sea shore, however there is a path from the parking lot. Great views and not so many viditors...

😠 Cost a lot for nothing. No English explanations, only 3 small rooms about some historical stuff with Fotos of the fort. Waste of time and money. Only go There if you really really really into something like that. Otherwise avoid!

😠 It has the same issues that fester the whole historical preservation in Portugal. If it can’t be monetized, then it’s not worth to preserve it. When things can be monetized, they cost more than visiting the Abbey in Mont Saint Michel in France.
