Best places: Museums in Ribeira Grande, Portugal

👍👍 When in Ribeira Grande you should definitely visit this museum. It features contemporary art, mainly temporary exhibitions from Portuguese /Azorean artists. But also they museum itself is worth a visit. Entrance fee was 3€ in August 2019. You will also find a book store.

😠 They show you 2 barns where they used to dry the tobbacco. You see nothing from the cigars production or history of the factory. You can’t even buy any cigar. After the visit I found on the web that there is also factory part of the museum which they didn't show us even when I specifically asked for...
