Best places: Scenic spots in Boossa, Sri Lanka

👍👍 The Matara Beach is popular with locals and tourists. Its s long sandy beach that catches a nice swell cominf from the south so under the right conditions can be good for surfers. To avoid the crowds of the city many head west about one km to Polhena or east a few km to Medawatta.

👍👍 It is an ideal place to have a rest in the narrow winding road from Balangoda to Bogawanthalawa. Provides a panoramic view of Samanalawewa Reservoir as well as Balangoda area. Has space to stop around 5-10 vehicles alongside the road. A summer hut is also available.

👍 A nice calm and quiet place with a relaxing atmosphere. Well maintained. Foods and polythenes are not allowed. A bit crowded during the weekends and mostly in the evenings. The notices displayed says that there are alligators in the lake. Even though we didn't see any alligators or we saw some fish...

👍👍 It is a very beautiful island sorrounded by a blue sea. A best place for camping. Can bath their but be careful when you do. Not much far from the main road. Vehicles can take near but the space is too small.

👍👍 This waterfall is a little further away from kumari ella.. beautiful calm scenery… one will have to look for walk trails to get access to a safe bathing spot and parking can be a little tricky as the road is a little narrow… a calm less crowded place…
