👍👍 Very sacred temple🙏 You have to climb up to the Vihara geya, Bodhin wahanse and the pagoda. Further climb up and can get to the sacred huge Buddha statue which is visible to the highrises in Colombo.

😐 A famous temple with a tall Buddha statue in Thalawatugoda. Every year they perform a drumming & dance event, an ancient ritual called 'GAMMADUWA' where hundreds of male dancers clad in white dance to invoke blessings of God Paththini.
