👍👍 A nice little get away place. The beach is not big, but the setting is very picturesque. The town is not big and a bit run down but so are most little towns and villages. Train station is 2 min walk to the beach so that's handy.

👍👍 Scots mile is ayr beach and is the mile walk.end to end. Has large grass area (low green) and 2 public toilets 30p one next to kids playground which is great play area for kids and one at other end next to Ayr India restaurant.

👍 Lovely beach. Ideal for the dogs but please be a responsible owner and pick up your dogs mess after they have pooped. I saw quite a few cases where people had not bothered and it spoils it for everyone else.
