πŸ‘πŸ‘ A superb park in a nice sizeable plot. Peaceful and enjoyable for dog walking or a pleasant gentle stroll. Close to nature with lots of wildlife to see. Can get a bit muddy in wet weather so take your wellies. The nearest toilet is at Asda a few minutes away.

πŸ‘ Its a nice picturesque lake with some but limited seating around its edge. There aee plenty of plaves to put a picnic blanket though, but beware that the ground around the lake can be a little boggy after rain. There are a wide selection of birds and fish in and on the lake. All in all its a lovely...

Mickleover Meadows

😐 Use to a good place to walk the dog, till they started building houses on the surrounding fields. Mickleover is now losing its village charm. Not even our council giving planning permissions to build, its South Derbyshire and Amber Valley building on their borders so it doesn't effect their schools...

Millennium Wood

πŸ‘ I'm just a 5 min walk away but if anyone wanted to drive here, there's literally nowhere to park. Can't exactly park your car on Oakland's Avenue. And it is very small, unless you want to walk in a circle, there's only so far you can go until you end up at Moorway Lane. That being said, the views ar...

Allestree Recreation Ground
Park
πŸ‘πŸ‘ A great park for walking in some woods with a short walk around the lake. At the moment the golf course isn't open and it is possible to extend walking across the greens. An ice cream van is normally parked near the Allestree Hall. Good for dog walking too. Can be muddy after lots of rain. Car park...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Just been with my 3 year old grandson; nice small play area and plenty of space to run around. There is a bit more there now, than when I grew up down the west end. We only had swings and an old maypole 50 years ago. Recommended

😐 There's not much here other than a nice walk between Spondon and Ockbrook. A bit of a trim trail for the kids and a carpark for the boy racers to rev engines and wheelspin. I like it though.
