Pleasure Lake Park
Park
ππ Really enjoyed my recent visit. The park was very well maintained and clean. They have benches in all over the park. And a perfect place to click some greenish pictures.

Palos Fen Nature Preserve
Park
ππ Great diversity of wetland and woodland plants. Very overgrown this time of year. If you are lucky and if you visit at the right time you may stumble upon white lady slippers or queen of the Prairie

9-11 Memorial
Memorial park
ππ Google has this marked as "Temporarily Closed" but that is incorrect. It's an outdoor area by the Metra Train Station. Not surprised Google would do this as they currently have the Children's Museum in Oak Lawn completely unlisted from their site, even though they've been in existence since 2003....

ππ As always I and my puppy love to walk the trails here every chance we get. Many trail options for length, difficulty and varied scenes- wooded paths, lakes, bogs, hills and even an old area used by U of Chicago for a nuclear lab back in the 30s-40s. Good trails for strolling, hiking,, running and...

ππ Maple view lake has a phenomenal view of the water! Their parking lot isn't huge it holds maybe 20 cars but I never really had a problem parking here. They have a very nice hiking trail and plenty of places to cast your line and fish. With this review I left a picture of what fish are in this lak...

Country Lane Woods
Picnic ground
ππ Beautiful, clean and well groomed trail shared with bikes, pets, horses and people. Plenty of parking. One portable toilet in the parking lot but no other facilities. Lots of trail options to choose from from short to long and from hilly to flat. No bugs this early in the spring.

Stonehouse
Historical landmark
ππ Like others below me have said, it's a great spot that was hidden until the further development of the mnt bike trails. I've been coming here for 23 years now & we all called it THE HUT...I still call it the HUT. PLEASE keep this place clean,& try not to set the roof on fire...which is what unfortun...

Kubicki Park

π Playground itself is wonderful. Great slides and climbing wall for older kids. Lots of swings and toddler play section for toddlers. Bathrooms as well and they were open albeit smelly and without toilet paper. Just wish there had been one other child there at 10:30. It was kind of eerie seeing no on...
