👍👍 Our family held a reunion here. The shelter and tables were perfect for our group. A very nice playground was nearby. The park will only get better as the years go by and the trees grow larger.

👍 Great hike. North entrance of the trail was closed and roped off. Hiking from the playground got me on to the trails and I was able to walk the whole trail system. Somewhat muddy but not terrible. Great tree canopy to walk under through most of the trails. Many awesome views. Quiet park.

Along with 9 baseball/softball fields, this park has 2 basketball courts, a playground & a pavilion.

👍👍 Nice place in Sherman where the town puts on weekly concerts, free of charge. They always have big names playing. This week, it is Tonic, and in 3 weeks is Hinder.

👍👍 Park is great but don't go to the beach when the "lifeguards" are there. They heckle the locals, won't enforce the rules with the seasonal or weekenders, and don't pay attention to the kids in the water. Typical rude teens and I do not consider them to be anything more than that, no matter their tit...

👍 They replaced most of the old playground equipment with newer equipment. Which is great but I am super sad that they had to remove ALL the old stuff. It was so much fun and was still in great shape. My kids and I loved being able to play on the same stuff I had growing up.

The sites are far apart so you feel like you are truly wilderness camping. We camped in the beginning of October and didn't see any other camp...
