I like the ambiance, it's casual and cool, yet family friendly. It is always very crowded. Menu coveres variety of pastas and pizzas. The portions are really big, the prices are fair. My order was ready fast. The staff are friendly.

The place itself is quite cozy, nice and colourful. However I wouldn’t say the same about the food. I ordered pasta with chicken and cream sauce, and it tasted averagely, let’s say I could make a better one. The chicken wasn’t cooked properly and there wasn’t any taste in it. My friends ordered bruschetta with tomatoes, but it wasn’t delicious and were not similar to the known Italian bruschetta. The service was okay, however they forgot once to bring the utensils for food. Overall 3,5/5.

I have been going to this Happy Italy since it opened, but lately the service and quality of the food is atrocious, should be called Sad Italy now. Today after a long time I decided to sit down and have a have a pizza and drinks, but no one ever came to take our order, one waitress said twice she would be right with us but after 25 minutes we had enough and decided to leave, upon leaving that same girl has the audacity to say goodbye to us at the door! But you didn't even care enough to serve us? Needless to say, this will be my last time here! Disappointing!!

Quick service , friendly staff , very nice decoration ... the food is very good and I like the thin pizza with the Italian style ... the shrimp & mushroom past was tasty as well..

Wood oven! That's been a surprise! Quality is rather good! Give it a try! P.S. You don't cut spaghetti! Never do it! And please make them "al dente" not "stracotto".

Happily eating at this place with big servings of pizza and pasta

We visited Happy Italy for the first time and noticed that other tables were leaving the restaurant without finishing a lot of their food. We thought that was odd, however we proceeded to order and soon after came to understand why people do not take their leftovers home. The pasta was supposed to be a carbonara but it was flavourless and the egg was still uncooked and soupy. We also ordered a pizza and the dough was uncooked which left us feeling sick immediately. We will not return to this restaurant chain.

They had the audacity to serve my pizza margherita with ONE, yes... ONE leaf of basilicum. Im not coming back here. Service was mediocre even for Dutch standards.

A nice place for dinner and the staff are attentive. Sometimes, The restaurant does get busy but so far everything is ok. They sell mostly pizzas and pasta. For vegetarians, they have some good varieties to choose from. I loved their chicken wings ! Note that the food portion is quite big.

We finished eating and ordered espresso and tiramisu. No one came to remove the empty plates and arrange the table. They leave the old plates for the last time. I hope the customer service becomes better. The customer cannot drink coffee and sweets while the table is full of empty plates of food.

The service was really slow. The food did not look like an Italian one. Also, the bread was not warm.

Manager with curly hair (she said her name was Sarah but who knows if that’s her actual name) Kicked my mother and myself out of the restaurant in a very aggressive and irritated manner just after expressing some basic complaints as being handed the wrong plate of pasta and following when handed the correct plate it was a very mushy soft pasta. After showing concern about the soft pasta and expecting al dente there was an offer to remake the plate of pasta but then al dente, after indicating that it was not really possible because we where late for a meeting the manager (Sarah) said okay and walked away very abruptly with surprise we said that that wasn’t too friendly, and after that Sarah picked up my perfectly fine pizza and the plate of pasta threw it all together brought it away and asked us to leave. Awfull experience with the manager the rest of the personnel was excellent but said Sarah ruined the experience.

Great food and great ambience but very crowded which is good which means the food is great. Why 4 stars and not 5? They need to have a anteroom if they are going to be crowded specially in cold weather. A reservation means that I shouldn't have more than a few minutes of waiting but this is what reduced the experience because I had to stand in cold for 15 minutes.

Reasonably priced, with average food and friendly staff. Sadly no coffee when we visited, but advertisements for their special coffees were everywhere... 👀 Regardless, a great play area for kids, so very handy for families on rainy days.

Really nice spot for pizza! The pizza base is nice and crispy. They have lots of vegan options and a good range of drinks. Very reasonably priced as well!

Good service. The kitchen is flexible when you want a different topping. The portions were quite substantial, I ordered a calzone for lunch, and it was too much. Personally I found it a bit too salty, it was very rich. The price to amount ratio is excellent

I don't want to comment on the food - it was not particularly of my liking but that in itself is not an issue. I was shocked instead to see hanging on the wall, among pictures of actors and pop singers, two pictures of a former Italian politician (Berlusconi) who has been very controversial to say the least, and has been found guilty of association with criminals, corruption, and grooming of underage girls. I can understand that for the average Dutch visitor of Happy Italy that is just folklore, part of "oh those messy, colorful Italians". But for any decent and law abiding Italian person those two pictures (not even one!) are really a punch in the eye, after having to suffer the power and influence of this guy, his mafia friends and his squalid television shows in Italy for a couple of decades. I hope this was just an underestimation on your part and you don't want your brand to be associated with a convicted offender. I understand you want to use the country's stereotypes to generate profit, but at least make sure to select only the genuinely positive ones, and take off those creepy, plastic smiles from your walls.
