Updated review 03/05/22 Came back here and had the phat pak krud, crab omelette abd the pork phat wan. It was good still with fresh herbs too. The staff are better now. Faster, don't forget anything and can pay with banking app scan. Still 5 stars. Original review from 2020: This is a famous local restaurant known for its bay leaf phat cha. It's strange but tasty. Also had the fried mackerel and spicy Thsi herb dip with shrimp. All of it super fresh. They also sell real lemonade which you should try. Grab some black pepper corns, which are a local favourite to take home too. It's a good deal here, three dishes and two drinks for 500 baht was excellent value. Toilets are clean. Waiters are very slow with everything, and forget sometimes, so plan to take an hour.

This is also one of the most popular dining place in Chanthaburi. The distinctive menu called "Gaeng Muu Chamuang" is what you have to order, tender pork in a dark stew with sour taste. I had it long time ago hence this time I had order something else; crab in dipping sauce, fried long bean with shrimp paste, spicy fish salad, and red curry with fish. However, I'm giving them 3 stars according to the taste that too much sweet. My understanding is local people like this taste, but it is really sweet.

Very good restaurant in Chantaburi town. It serves local food which not easy to find from other places such as Chan noodle, pork cha muang. My kids love fried fish salad...very fresh and delicious.

Must visit but please make advance reservations. If you are in this town, you have to visit this restaurant for good local thai food. This was a discovery for us during our trip to Trat. One of the best dry fish preparation with cardamom stem and pork curry.

Good restaurant. Chamuang pork stew was quite too sweet (recommended for who like sweet food). “Lor Ma Ju” is my recommendation menu. Stir-fried paco fern was good too. Also recommended durian cake for dessert. Kumquat (“Mapeed”) soda was very good. The atmosphere was good but it will be better if there’s airconditioner.

Great place to eat! Such lovely staff and very tasty and fresh traditional/local food. Separate vegetarian menu available on request which had lots of choice. Tried the pork curry, veggie Tom yum and veggie salad.

The place is clean. Some edible souvenir sold here. The price is relatively high compared with the restaurants in Chanthaburi. Food quality is good with chic decorations.

Chantorn Pochana is the amazing place you’ve heard about when people talked about Thailand. The food is specific to Chantaburi area and delicious with a lot of variety and unique taste. Some dishes can only be found here and they are truly amazing. Check photos as I cannot translate not I can explain how amazing it was. Stop by on your way to the east coast towards the Thai larger islands, or stay in Chantaburi to experience all this and more. You get the chance to buy some transitional durian sweets. Yummm Highly recommended, not to be missed.

Sorry to say that the food taste is too so so and overrated. However, the story behind the shop history, great service, good decoration makes 4 stars for me. The food price considered reasonable. Moo-chamuang is a must; real delicious. The durian spicy salad can skip. The pad thai with crab is suck; serve with the crispy crab but i know its 50 THB. The masa-mun thick curry with durian is a dish to try by foreigner but Thais can skip.

A go to restaurant in city center Chanthaburi. The restaurant has plenty of table and service was quite fast. I highly recommend few local dishes such as pork sweet/sour curry, local stirred fried noodle, vegetable stir fried and fried fish. Note that food here has seafood so prices aren’t low. Service was quite good. Owner was there. Super sweet and friendly

Foods are excellent, using a lot of traditional Thai ingredients.
