Had a meal here last night, was a bit worried as some of the reviews seemed negative but I can honestly say it was great. It was just myself and wife, we had beef salad and a pizza, both were delicious. The 2 staff were polite, professional and efficient. The pub was lovely and clean. What more can anyone want, to add the service charge on the bill is a bit unusual but they fully deserved it, and you can take it off if you choose.

Lovely aesthetic, feels nice in an old style pub. Lots of space between tables. Staff are very nice and friendly. Ordered the steak burger which was nice but the bun was a tad on the dry side and it wasn't a steak it was more like a hand made burger. Tasty on the whole though and the chips were very nice. Slightly on the pricier side for a lunch, 2 burgers and 2 drinks cost about £40. Would definitely go again as there were other meals I might want to try :)

Lovely Sunday lunch shame no Manchester Craft. We were there just after two and it was almost empty.

Nice pub, with a smashing location and a wonderful service team. I like the music they play which is not too loud, and it is very much in keeping with the venue's low key ambience. Food is okay.

Had one of the worst roast beef dinners I’ve ever tried, the beef was just tasteless, thin and fatty to the point I left most of it and the meal (sent it back and didn’t pay for it) had no roast potatoes and the broccoli was basically raw. Was looking forward to a good Sunday dinner but was not satisfied.

Nice country pub. Staff are friendly. The food is a bit pricey but worth the money.

Wow. Absolutely awful experience tonight whilst out for a family meal. Firstly the roof started to leak in over our table and we had to move. Secondly, my husband, who is currently 4 weeks post ankle surgery and on crutches, slipped and fell on the floor in the toilets, as the tiles were unbelievably slippy, like they hadn't been cleaned propely and had a slippy substance on the surface of the tiles. Thirdly we found a plastic sachet of flora butter in the gravy pot of a childrens meal a 1 year old was eating. After speaking to the manager about the whole experience, its pretty clear he doesn't care and had excuse after excuse for the poor state of the building, state of the toilets, and lack of general care about the experiences customers have at his restaurant. The icing on the cake was his final comment, saying all he could do about the floors in the toilet was to "hold your hand whilst you go to the toilet" and laughed at us. Complete disregard for customer safety, accessibility needs and zero empathy for our situation and bad experience. What an absolute joke of a place and management. Safe to say we won't be returning and hope others read this and choose somewhere else to dine. Regarding the food, this was average at best. Service slow, waiting a long time for staff to come and take drinks orders (we had to go to the bar a few times), although not the serving staffs fault, could clearly see they were busy and doing their best. All the staff, except the manager were pleasant and helpful. Shame about the rest of the place. Wonder if the manager will bother to respond to this review...perhaps an apology even!...

Recently revamped (in the last couple of years) this ancient hostelry has everything you’d expect for a 21st century pub-stop. Ideally situated for a motorway break on the road that runs parallel to the M65 between J7 and J8 it also serves the nearby business park and the remnants of the more rural local community (its almost in the adjacent farm yard!). The welcome is warm and friendly, there are cosy nooks and crannies to sit in, a restaurant area and a bar food area, and fires which when lit would make the place homely. The menu is well priced and has a good simple range from quick snacks, quickly served to full a la carte meals.

Was driving past here and decided to go in for something to eat. We were not disappointed.. We were greeted by a lovely, friendly member of staff who showed us to our table. Gave us a menu and then took our drinks order. I ordered my usual fish and chips. And I was not disappointed., Nice big portions, perfectly cooked fish and just the right amount of chips. All in all great value for money and a perfect pint of San Miguel too. 🍺 Will definitely be back.

Such a Lovely little pub.. The Staff are very friendly & welcoming. 2nd time me & my partner have been to eat here & the food is 10/10. Definitely the best food we have had eating out in a long time. We will be back in the future 😊

Such a lovely village pub with a great team of staff. Unfortunately on our last visit the food wasn't great, which is a shame because I've been quite a few times over the years and the food has always been fantastic. They're having a menu change at the moment, so I sincerely hope they bring back the lamb shank - it's the number one reason I come here when I visit family! I went to Altham Primary and now live in London, I've not found a better lamb shank anywhere else!

Husband had sausage and mash with and really enjoyed it. I had the lasagne it was very dry think they forgot to put the tomato sauce in between layers. Very disappointing 😞

Attended my ex mother-in-law's wake, staff were very caring and they put on a lovely spread. The staff were caring enough to ask who was driving before pouring out the mini Guinness shooters for us.

Attended for Sunday lunch. The beef dinners were nice. Would avoid the nut roast as it was a mushy, glue like texture and was inedible. Mash for 2/3 diners was lumpy. Rhubarb crumble desert had large volumes of apple in, which is not mentioned on the menu and didn’t taste of rhubarb. Staff were friendly. However, spent a lot of time standing around the bar discussing the latest marvel films and characters whilst we sat awaiting orders to be taken/ assistance which lead to us having to go to the bar/get own napkins that didn’t come with the meal. Disappointing visit, given I had to send a main meal back.

We stopped by this pub by accident. We had missed the two o clock cutoff at most places. After a Google search, we found this place and were pleasantly surprised. The two of us shares a starter. The Korean tacos. We were blown away by the micro salad and wrestled over the last bits! I had the Korean salad and the wife had the lamb. Both were excellent. We will be back. Thanks for the great service, and for hanging onto my mobile phone when I lost it!

Lovely evening. Fabulous food. Partner had the mixed grill and found it a bit too salty but all mine was perfect. Service was great. Will definitely go again soon, thanks.

The decor is lovely but there were flies everywhere in the areas where you sit inside to enjoy a drink. It was really bad, we moved seats as there were many flies on a beam behind my partner' head. Where we moved to was again nice and cozy, but when we looked up they were all on the light fittings so we drank up and left. Not sure about the eating area but it was bad enough for me to say, lets go

The flies were so annoying. Being next to a farm a few flies were landing in our food, there needs to be some discreet fly zappers fitted. I ordered a mixed grill for £18.95 which arrived on a small oval plate. If someone orders a mixed grill put it on a bigger plate then fill it up. Add some onion rings and a flat mushroom at this price point. The food was good quality, but the lamb chop on the mixed grill was wafer thin I actually thought it was burger until I bit on the bone. This place isn't cheap, in fact it's quite expensive compared to other local pub restaurants. Small portions being shared with farm flies doesn't make this venue good value but will suit those with deeper pockets and smaller tummies

It was a bit odd. We were walk ups on a weekend Lots of empty tables and ended up being squashed in the corner near other tables. Food was good. The cheese and onion pie was nice My chicken burger was average and the bun was over toasted for my taste. The chips were as though they'd been baked. Will try again if passing see if the other dishes are good, too and the service was adequate.

Awesome pub/restaurant! I only go for a beer coz it's close to work but everyone says the food is great!!! Has that authentic pub appeal inside and and out. Very friendly staff too 😁

This pub is beautiful inside! Everything looks so lovely. The staff are always so friendly and genuine, everyone in out group loved the food!

Terrible place. No COVID protocols in place. Hidden service charge. Food was awful sausage and mash had very low quality sausage more fat and cereal than meat. Steak pie all pastry no meat. Lady at the next table had fish and chips which was a solid slab of batter and no fish. Any reasonable restaurant would have comped that meal on the bill but not these money grabbers. Avoid

Lunch time meal out with friends. For a pub serving cask beer that is colder than the cold lager my friend had, well its not acceptable. There were four of us in the group, all of us wanting food as well as a drink. It is not the cheapest place to eat, but we had not been for quite a while, and it had changed hands also. The place had just opened and I think we where the first to arrive. The place was as cold as the beer. But looking through the menu there was something for each of us. But again a but it was very disappointing very small portions and basic. Another thing we did not notice right away was the addition of an automatic 10% charge on the bill. We did pay up, but only to save the embarrassment of our friends. Again if we had been alone I would have challenged the addition. The only good thing was as we where about to leave one of the staff was attempting to light the double sided wood burner so hopefully the place would have been nice and warm for the evening guests. Pub of last resort next time.

First choice of prawn lollipops not available, so had teryacki salmon, not impressed. Fish and chips very greasy, chips not crispy. Goan fish curry okay but nothing special. Waitress lovely.
