I regret the time I spent in this stupid university. As the other government universities, it is a well known bureaucratic institution with some politician people leading it. The registrar’s are also the worst with their tiresome service, and unless u don’t have a relationship with them, you will spend a whole year just do one single thing. Overall it is a university with just a name. They don’t have any thing good.

I am currently a student at the university and let me say a little bit about what you will face at AAiT . Starting from the main gate the security is so frustrating and you can not enter unless you are a student , teacher , employee of AAiT or unless you have legal permit to enter . Then the employee at the office enter late at the morning and leave early before the end of the working hour and they take long lunch break . They dont treat students properly ( im not saying all of them ) . It is the leading teachnology institute in the country but its not performing prior to its rank .( i dont know other universities perfomances though ) . Space science society is located at the third floor of the first building in the compound . The institute provides Engineering and some networking courses It offers B.sc , M.sc and Ph.d programs . The compound is very small compared to other compound of Addis Ababa university and its dormitory is separted from the campus . For students think about joining AAiT , only join if you are very competitive and willing to sacrifice much of your time

The Addis Ababa Institute of Technology (AAIT), also known as Amist Killo AAU, is one of the leading engineering schools in Ethiopia. It offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs in engineering, as well as a number of interdisciplinary programs. AAIT is consistently ranked among the top universities in Ethiopia, and it has produced many of the country's leading engineers. AAIT is a highly respected institution for its rigorous academic programs, its strong faculty, and its commitment to research. The university's graduates are highly sought-after by employers, and they play a vital role in Ethiopia's economic development. Missed short time i was there.

Easily the best engineering school in the country. Some registrar staff are at best unprofessional and at worst rude. There needs to be a change there

Best university in Ethiopia, has a wonderful civil engineering department with well qualified lecturers. They have the best consulting office which used by most if not all major projects in Ethiopia. Last but not least they have an excellent laboratory for research and safety checks in civil engineering.

one of The best Engineering school in the country. it was built during the reign of the last emperor of Ethiopia (Ras teferi Mekonene ). the design and architecture was constructed by German contractors. the quality of fields of study are very up to date.

AAiT is where I got my Bsc and all in all, I think it's one of the better places to study engineering in Ethiopia. Apart from some of the teachers being unprofessional, insufficient learning materials and bad learning/exam schedules, it's alright

Truth be told, I joined this place thinking it's the best in the country. But there is little to support that reputation. The library is good I guess, but outside that much of it is depressing. There is a mini park with benches (most in need of repair), but there are no fields or courts to enjoy sports or play ball games. No recreation whatsoever. The facilities are no different. There is no water most days (even in toilets), even the toilets themselves are rarely functional. With the exception of a few, most teachers don't deliver high quality lessons and don't care much about the students' performance. They don't even show up most days. I have had better teachers in highschool. The cafeteria is okayish, but the dorm is well below that. It's crowded (8 or more per dorm) and you're considered lucky if you even get a place. I have heard of many low ranking universities outside the capital city with much better dorms than this place. And the registrar and the staff!!!😤😡 Don't get me started on the registrar!!🤮😂 So, long story short, I gave it one star because there isn't a zero star option.
