Horrible lunch, a rude waiter overturned a glass of beer on my trousers without apologies, very expensive unexplained and unwritten check. A place to avoid.

Good palace to have an evening beer sitting outside on the square. The old city is very charming and the local people are rightfully proud of their city.

We stayed in Aix-en-Provence in 3 days and visited this little pearl every day. We felt welcome and the service was amazing. Good mix of locals and visitors. Our warmest recommendations.

The waiter who was not friendly at all and very rushed didnt allow us to sit on his terrace and order a cocktail. He said his terrace is only for guests who want to order food and drinks and told us to go elswhere. Although its written brasserie on the place and menu and not restaurant! Then you should write restaurant only on your menu and not Brasserie. Bad atitude!

The absolute best restaurant/bar in Aix! I was living in Aix this past spring, and Brasserie de la Marire was my go to place! They made me feel at home as a foreigner to this beautiful town. I did not know anyone there so whenever I came to Brasserie de La Mairie the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, and have an amazing experience everytime I stepped into the restaurant. Amazing atmosphere, amazing staff and service, and beautiful outdoor cafe! If you are looking for a great menu of food and drinks Brasserie de La Mairie has it all! I have nothing but great things to say about this place and I cannot wait to visit Aix again and see the people that I call my friends now at Brasserie de la Mairie.

The waiter was very impolite ruining the whole mood of the table with impatient and passive aggressive comments. The only upside to this "bar" was the place itself which isnt really hard in Aix en Provence because it is beautiful anywhere!

EXTREMELY unfriendly waiter - I had such a lovely evening so far, but he completely ruined my mood for the rest of the night.

We visited twice while in Aix and we really enjoyed sitting on the terrace surrounded by the lively atmosphere. The drinks and tapas were great, the staff was pleasant and we were served quickly and efficiently, especially considering how busy it was.

We stopped for drinks and were told no problem by a member of staff. We stayed literally only 15/20mins. On two occasions, two different members of staff asked if we were ready for lunch. We said we're not staying for lunch, and they swore at us. I can't believe the treatment we received. Two staff members glared at us whilst walking around getting in other orders and one (who I'd assume was the manager with a weird slicked grey hair cut) actually yelled 'Jesus!' At us when he realised for the third time we weren't having lunch. We had already eaten, it wasn't a crime. There were seats free and the drinks were expensive enough! Never coming back here. Avoid this establishment at all costs. Zero customer service.

Absolutely terrible! Menu not clear as to what is lunch and what is dinner. Then no burger buns available so couldn't order burgers. Settled for a bruschetta which was more like some sort of pizza with dried out breaded chicken. The only saving grace was the service which was pretty decent. End

Great spot for lunch. We had a tomato mozzarella cheese salad avec Poulet. Very tasty. Enjoyed it with a bottle of Red Stripe, Jamaica beer. Even more pleasant was the fact we arrived a few minutes after 3 and they asked the chef to make our lunch. 3 is closing time for lunch. Great location overlooking the square, staff very enjoyable.

Horrible service. i ordered a cup of coffee 3 times from 2 different waiters and my order kept being ignored after main dishes, and i think it is because they are racist because he served others. Subpar food.

Absolutely gorgeous lunch after a walking tour of the city. Staff were brisk and polite. My wife had the "Salad Nordique" which turned out to be a huge bowl stuffed full of hard boiled egg, smoked salmon and avocado, as well as potato and of course lettuce. I had the Tartare during Boeuf, and it was literally the best I've had... ever. Wonderful use of sun dried tomatoes, provencale herbs and local cheese made it a unique Steak Tartare. Thoroughly recommend this place, and I cannot for the life of me understand why it has historically achieved such a mediocre score.
