Nice tapestries but you’ll miss a lot if you can’t read French as none of their signage has any other language. Not putting English/other languages is something I understand and I’m not saying they have to, all I’m saying is that you’ll miss a large aspect of the museum by not being able to understand the history of the tapestries. It’s was kind of nice to walk through and look at them, but I wouldn’t go back, nor would I recommend it to someone unless they are really fascinated by tapestry work.

Unfortunately terrible and limited exposition. It could be much better with all the culture richness in the region. I don’t recommend, waste of time and money.

This museum has so much potential to offer...this history in the region is rich in the dyeing and weaving of fabrics, the tapestries presented are beautiful, the building itself is large enough to show even more...but there is no context to the permanent exhibits. There is no lead in to the origin of the industry and how Aix became famous for their tapestries. As a visitor you have to spend a lot more time reading between the lines to get the sense of the accomplishments of the trade rather than having it presented to you as a museum should. It was a great bonus that there was a costume/outfit exhibition at the time of our visit which significantly enhanced the experience. The outfits we wild and fun and created conversations for each one we saw. A nice add on for sure.

Absolutely beautiful beautiful building with absolutely incredible tapestries inside. I do feel like a lot more could be shown inside though, only takes about 40 mins to go around everything. The tapestries are absolutely fascinating and break taking in real life. Definitely worth a visit.

(Translated by Google) A must see. The beautiful Place de l'Évêché, a real theater stage leading to the Palais de l'Évêché, tapestry museum, setting for many exhibitions. Do not miss the courtyard on the left, with walls covered with Virginia creeper, which hides a beautiful art gallery. (Original) A voir absolument.

(Translated by Google) Very attentive and open guards despite the monotony. Relatively varied exhibitions, tapestries and decorations of the opera festival in the permanent collection are worth 3.70 for a full price ticket (Original) Gardiens très attentifs et ouverts malgré la monotonie. (Translated by Google) A beautiful museum but which is sorely lacking in resources to showcase its collection of tapestries and that of the opera festival. The staff is very friendly.

(Translated by Google) You really have to be passionate about old tapestries! They would be much more in their place in old castles. I did not like this rather miserable museum. Even the lighting would have to be reviewed. Not much interest!

(Translated by Google) Disappointed ... 1/3 of the tapestries are hidden by the exhibition, 1/3 are under-lit, the remaining 1/3 does not justify the move. I had read the other reviews but still hoped ...

(Translated by Google) A strange museum, I expected to see tapestries and the vast majority of them are covered by cabinets or other settings, there are stuffed animals and everything is mounted around a book and its author.

Interesting but neglected , somehow disapointing

Closed because they had no one to work security. They did have one lady at the ticket desk and one in the book store. Doing what I'm not sure.
