The heart of Havana. Buzzing with life and people. Perfect place to get a coconut taxi or just a regular one. Close to old Havana that has interesting architecture and shops. Lots of vendors selling various things. A craft Market with inexpensive souvenirs is here as well.

The central park in Havana is a convergence point where you can not only enjoy splendid old buildings and their architecture, but it is also the starting point for visits to the city, whether by car or horse-drawn carriage. Close to multiple businesses, including hotels

Lovely spot in the evening. Come early and watch everything light up, before taking a stroll down Boulevard San Rafael. Disclaimer: Don’t speak with anyone who randomly walks up to you trying to start a conversation - they’re all scammers selling fake tickets, running currency conversion scams and trying to take unsuspecting tourists to venues that will rip you off with inflated prices in order to pay the scammer who took you there a large commission. Ignore anyone you don’t know personally and do not engage in conversation with strangers.

A very central small but cute park where you sit and watch people from every type passing by. Has a nice garden! A great tip: you can take a shuttle bus to the airport from there every one hour fir 5$ only.

………What an incredible immaculate-lii well-manicured and maintained area of Havana. Parque Central is right in the middle of this area and in this square or park is a large pure-white statue of Jose Marti right in the centre surrounded by palm-trees paved pathways going in different directions with spotless-lii clean flowerbeds that are in full bloom. This is about the most impressive area in central Havana where the vibe is always electric filled with tourist and locals alike. The locals gather here especial-lii the young-men to have live-lii get-to-gather and have a rip roaring time bickering about the American football and basketball matches which some of them have seen. And the tourist come because it is here in this area where the open-top buses “TurBus” starting point is that provides tours of Havana and also take passengers to the eastern beaches ‘Playa del Este” but the most important fact is that it is here where the famous Cuban classic “Old-Cars” rides are to be found. You can choose whatever colour or type of car you want to tour or just have a ride in, there are even vintage models to choose from and even the horse-drawn carriages are right here. This area is also home to a few of the top posh and grandiose hotels such as the Gran Manzana hotel with a beautiful shopping-mall housed in its building called “Malecon” which has some very elegant merchandising shops in it. Hotel Parque Central with its multi-basement shopping-mall and many love-lii cafes are to be found here. The impressive Gran Teatro de La Habana-“Alicia Alonso” stand here most majestical-lii and just down the same road is the new-lii renovated “El Capitolio” the national government official offices. We came here every day to experience Cuba and the Cuban people in its finest for in one of the side roads was the big Habana Club “Casa Del Ron y Tabaco” where we bought our genuine Cuban cigars and walked over to the park and set down on the love-lii cement park-benches and enjoyed smoking them right in the public's-eye. A “Must” visit area of Havana, Cuba……..

(Translated by Google) The caves or Paleocaverna Bellamar Cave, near Matanzas, a national monument, is important to visit, the visit is guided in Spanish or French and probably in other languages, not much more than an hour, etalactites and stalactites, water sources at interior, forms of saltpeter, geology, ... Inside it is adapted with stairs and light and entrance to the cave with stairs. Before entering there is a small exposition of inside things and explanation and history. Outside there is a bar and picnic area. The price for the tourist with CUC is not very expensive and they also charge an amount to enter with the camera or mobile phone. Whatever you do there, never ever use a horse carriage that waits there and offers rides. These poor animals are mostly in appalling conditions and forced to stand in full sunlight all day and carry you on street surfaces not made for horse hoofs. If you walk a side street you see a lot of these horses that can't bear it anymore standing around and collapsing without being taken care of. They are only used as your motor, nothing else. So if you have any regard for the wellbeing of animals, stop using them to get around town. Rather use a car. Only if nobody uses them anymore they disappear and the owners who do not treat them well will find other ways to make money there.

Fantastic open park on the edge of Havana Vieja. Walk around to see all of the grand buildings in the area, and take photos of the beautifully restored cars from the 1940s and 1950s. Take some time and talk to Cubans, but don't be fooled by the cigar sales!

Absolutely beautiful place to go to. The artwork and detail put into the buildings around here are breathtaking. I was little upset that we were not allowed to go in to the capital but I totally understand because it would most likely be flooded with tourists. Still it was very nice getting to sit on the steps and just take in all of the beauty Havana has to offer

Central Park is one of the most lovely parks to do a meet and greet with the cubanos or your travel partners. Its easy to overlook and a lot to see. City tour sightseeing busses have a departure place there. every 30 minutes. And if you are in a romantic mood, you can take a horse carridge for a tour trough town. And for the Classic car lovers. they are there too, with a lot of choice in color, type or a confertable. Just name it, and you got it.

Amazing central square in the heart of Havana. Splitting Havana Vieja and Havana Centro, this central area is where most of the old cars are located, fancy hotels, bus stops, horse carriage, etc... Easy to find your way from here to go to downtown or to go down the Paseo del Prado.

(Translated by Google) Nice park, actually more of a promenade in the middle of a street in Old Havana. The monument to José Marti stands exactly in the middle in front of the historically valuable Hotel Inglaterra. You don't come here for this park, but because you like to stroll from the old town to El Capitolio on this street, passing the Hotel Inglaterra and the magnificent Gran Teatro. Great place for exploring. Be prepared to sweat. If you are old bring a fan and water and your puffer if you have breathing problems. Also if you go down you need to go up so any mobility issues will be tested. I went with my mom and mother in law who are in their 60s and it was tough for them. If young and able I highly recommend it!

What an experience! Aside from all of the governmental inconveniences where they nickel and dime you for very everything, if you take a camera or a cell phone on the tour its extra money, believe me its well worth it! Go there with plenty of time and take both tours the regular tour that the caves are well illuminated and the more adventurous challenging tour that the only light is the one on your hardhat.

  • 5/5 Diana G. 5 years ago on Google
This is an awesome experience but if you are claustrophobic and you can't walk a lot I wouldn't suggest this because there's only one way in and one way out and it's really beautiful it's just a lot of turns ups and downs and the stairs take forever to leave but overall for the price it's amazing and historical.

(Translated by Google) In the cave Beyyamar was the second time. I really liked it. First they show a detailed video in stereo glasses, then they tell about the history of the cave, then they go down to the cave itself. The guide speaks two languages: Spanish and English.

(Translated by Google) A great place and above all incredibly long corridors, a spectacular large underground hall and these long stairs, I recommend. Of course, you will not make the discovered 7 kilometers of the whole path but a five-plus experience. If you're looking for a relationship from this place on YouTube, you'll find me at @MrPodroze #CuevasdeBellamar (Original) Wspaniałe miejsce a przede wszystkim niesamowicie długie korytarze, Spektakularna wielka podziemna sala i te długie schody, polecam. This central opening is quaint and calming in the middle of Havana. Iconic destinations and monuments surround the park, including the Hotel Inglaterra and the Capitol Building. I stopped here and relaxed for a spell after a busy day exploring the downtown and can confirm that the palm trees provide nice cover as well.

Great! Nice scenery with rich and deep history of Havana. I would recommend finding a free walking tour in your language to learn more about the landmarks and sights.

Plenty of seats to sit down and relax. Also plenty of vintage car rides start from here.

Nice area to sit and people watch, also the classic taxi cars tend to congregate around here.

It's very well located in between central and old Havana, walking distance from the Malecon. Breakfast is pretty decent considering you're in Cuba. Swimming pool chairs have no shade, which can be a bummer as it gets really hot. The only complain was the live music in the lobby - way too loud - and the service was slow. Also, don't pay with credit card. It will be more expensive if you pay in pesos.

Very beautiful square to visit. But lots of hagglers asking tourists for money or asking to pay them to travel in the classic cars. Pricing is anyone's guess. No fixed rate.

Hotel Parque Central, in Havana magnificent place, full of magic, full of stories, with a location in the heart of that great city, excellent service, where all its workers give the best of them to please their customers, undoubtedly the best in Cuba.
