My stay from when I came in was very awesome. There was a lot of confusion in the hospital but once I got here the concern for me for my comfort was 1st priority. Transportation helped me in lobby and gave me water and was helpful upon arrival. When I first came in and from there on all the nurses and staff were very caring. The Dr's were interested in my well being and things that needed to be done were getting done. All The therapist Matt, Dilon, Vincent, and Julie were very encouraging and allowing me to go my pace and made a significant change. I made a real connection with everyone. Thank you for the great care ABQ heights.

I want to thank all of you for your help, instruction, kind hands, and understanding. I could not have made it without you all. From Lucia to Daniel, Tracy, Dylan, Matt, Lisa, Genenne, Darla, Jordan, thank you one and all. There are so many names and so many faces I know I have forgotten. It was not my intent to leave you out. It took us all each and everyone. You are all so very valued. I want to thank you again for helping me get my life back. -Venita

My wonderful husband had a stroke in March after 26 days in the hospital he was transferred to Albuquerque Heights and actually I was concerned at first because he would not stay in bed. I stayed at night to help him and tho this was not normal they staff were wonderful to both of us. They showed such caring and love for their patients. He went home and then fell and broke his pelvis and I insisted he go back to Heights. He is in a different unit but the attitude towards their patients is the same. He pretty much needs to be watched all the time as he tries to get up constantly which he canโ€™t without falling. He is progressing and will come home again when he is able. A person with a stroke injury can be difficult and paranoid, they deal with this in a very patient way. They also deal with the family in a patient and loving way, I feel as tho we are family. I cannot say enough about this wonderful place, from the people at the desk as you walk in to the folks that clean. I hope he does not have to go back but I will , to support and visit them . (They welcome dogs)

My mom was at the rehab center recently for a short time due to an urgent situation, but we want to give a shout out to Jennifer, Patient Tech, who was beyond professional and kind. She works so hard!! PT, OT and SLP were beyond amazing and thorough. Jordan , Director of Admissions was very responsive to mom's needs. The dietician's were very attentive to mom's vegan diet. Jim (in maintenance) was very present and caring. The entire team was there to greet and welcome mom morning after her arrival. Don't get me wrong, mom was happy to come home but grateful for the great care while at Albuquerque Heights. Thank you to everyone.

The past few years have been so challenging for everyone but particularly for healthcare workers. I am new to Albuquerque Heights but my very first impression is that, even through those challenges and tough times, the staff are so compassionate and caring. The teamwork is amazing and they really want to make a positive difference. I am so proud and fortunate to be here and work with this team. #Albuquerque Heights Strong!

Being in this facility therapy helped me out so much. I was unable to walk when I got here and will be able to discharge home walking independently. Thanks to all the therapist Darla, Daniel, Cindy, Julie, Matt, D'lyn, misty, Katrina, and Vincent. They were the highlight of my recovery. I would recommend this facility for therapy and good energy. The food wasn't good but the nurses and CNA staff payed attention to my needs.

All of the staff including the nurses and facilitators have been super helpful and kind. David from activities and Omo Vincent Dylan and Patrick Katrina from PT. Joel and Michelle H. Gorgegina and Mamood Geri and Brent. All the kitchen staff. They all practice a higher level of care and kindness with all of their patients. Compassion and care come first with all the staff.

We had good care from the nurses, however we encountered several issues that we had to solve ourselves: we were not able to obtain required pain medication from the facility for the first 2 - 3 days, we had to bring our own medication from home. Also we had to discuss the medication delivery schedule with every nurse and the PA, as they could not understand that they needed to give dosage more often. They need more employees in order to attend to the patients in a timely manner.

Received a complete tour from Deb, the admissions director. The facility and staff were great and the tour was impressive. The facility has everything we would have needed so we were planning to send our loved one here. However, we didn't end up needing a rehabilitation facility after all. Wanted to leave a review anyway, because we know after multiple loved ones have needed rehabilitation how hard it is to find a good one with availability.

If I could rate lower than one star I would. As soon as I walked into the facility it smelled of urine. The employees are the absolute most unprofessional people I've ever dealt with. The hiring standards are apparently low. How has this place not been shut down?! Avoid this place if you can. The worst experience everrrr!!!!

Overall our experience with my mother at this location was poor. There were 1 to 2 nurses that really cared. But, most did not. She was recuperating there after a heart attack. Was scheduled to go home, and caught COVID there and had to stay another 10 days until her assisted living would take her back. Once home she promptly became ill and was hospitalized for a positive MRSA blood culture that she could have only gotten there. She passed away 2 days later. I feel this place killed my mother.

I would not wish this facility on my worst enemy. About half of the employees showed up for a paycheck. They have no idea about the CARE in HealthCARE! The others do. One of my high blood pressure medications was omitted from my list of medications when I was admitted. The administrators are the worst. They invite you to call them with any concerns, if you can ever get a hold of them. They agree that things are bad, but they don't change anything. The food is all bad carb's, fat, and sugar. And they wouldn't know a raw food if it fell in their lap. But, hey, the food they serve is cheap and this is a greedy place. There are fire alarms whose wires hang down 4-6 inches from the ceiling. There are holes in the walls, the thermostat in our room never worked. The PT staff didn't listen to my individual problems which included upper body injuries. Lower body was a joke too. They have set exercises that are not streamlined to accommodate each individual person. This will go down in my memories as a complete nightmare.

I have been remiss in posting this review! My father was admitted To ABQ Heights Rehab in May of this year. Jordan Montoya was instrumental in my dad's care and went above and beyond to help me with all of the transitional aspects of that care. Vincent and his PT staff were professional and attentive to my dad's PT care. Special thanks to Maria one of the staff nurses that was so kind and caring.. in transparency, there were moments with other nurses that could be short or terse.... but I always try to remember that you never know what someone is going through and also there has been such a shortage of nurses that sometimes they just have their hands full... Thank you to David, Jordan, Vincent, Maria and all the social services staff! and to Jerome!

The PT, Daniel, is an outstanding care giver. Our father made excellent progress under his care. Previously PT was not successful which exemplifies the level of care Daniel provided. He is patient, kind, expert and an consistent communicator. This made our fathers stay a success!

As most nursing facilities, this place is understaffed. Because of this, patients do not receive the care they need. My loved one was neglected, left unbathed for two weeks, and slowly decompensated during his time there. This was all left unnoticed, until he went into a serious shock state due to infection and dehydration. Unfortunately, this place just does not have what it takes to adequately care for patients, especially those who may be elderly or have disabilities that make they reliant on caretakers for activities of daily life. Additionally, this facility needs maintenance. There are broken beds, toilets unscrewed and off the hinges, and TP rolls on the floors.

I have been here since April, then moved to another part of the facility Iโ€™m May. I have been recovering since April and in July I started my PT/OT again. This time abound I personally have been recovering and it has made my PR/OT so much better. Dโ€™lyn worked very hard with me and gave me a lot of encouragement that I really need. I also would like to thank, Julia, Darla, Misty, Daniel, Vin and I know there is a few more but I canโ€™t remember their names but I will say they are all very amazing at their job. Thank you again everyone for all the help you have given me really to go home. Your forever friend Regina

HORRIBLE place! And that's putting it nicely. If I could give zero Stars I would have! I can't imagine how many people suffer in that place. Especially ones that do not have family or a voice to speak up for them! My loved one was told that her diaper barely had any urine in it and for her to urinate in it two or three more times before she would change her! Secondly I can't even stress how bad the food is over there. One example biscuit and gravy, the biscuit was harder then a rock. The hamburger was made out of who knows what kind of meat, stale cold and disgusting along with the french fries. Apparently they got another cook so that tells you the first one was just as bad! INHUMANE.. They don't care! Do not send your loved one there and if they are there get them out, PRONTO!!

**update i was contacted on here within 24 hrs and i immediately wrote the email provided and they contacted me same day and asked how they could help. I was in an crisis trying to find a place for my loved one and they were able to get a bed for them at another location and held it for them. Thank you so much! Wanted to see about sending a family member here but the few times I actually got the front desk to answer they'd send me to admissions who NEVER answered and their voicemail box was full. Eventually the front desk stopped answering too. This was during business hours. Not like I'm requesting something outrageous here, just for people to answer phones after our caseworker hadn't heard back from them for over 24 hours.

Iโ€™m a home health aide and a biker, was in a motorcycle accident and had extensive injuries to my legs hips pelvis and arm. I have worked in facilities before with my job experiences I have been trained in all aspects of my job for 5 years. Thatโ€™s my background and experience and hereโ€™s what I think of this place being a patient. They are disrespectful, rude, and have no regard to the patients pain or discomfort. As a hha my number 1 priority is my clients in all aspects and areas to make them comfortable and happy and make sure they are healthy. This place doesnโ€™t do any of that they allow the patient to be soiled because they donโ€™t feel like changing them they donโ€™t come when the nurse lights go off they donโ€™t care if a client is in pain. I wouldnโ€™t give this place a single star. This facility needs to be completely gone through and fixed in the sense of the staff and environment.

Everything about my visit was both nice and professional, from the ease of parking, the assistance with the visitor registration process, the guidance to the room, and the clean and pleasant appearance of everything, to the visits by nursing staff and their response to a request. I could not have been more impressed.

The PT and OT programs are the best, their evaluation is accurate and helpful, and the patients are actively participating with the program. Cleaning is very good. I want better food choices. The staff are very helpful .

We were a little nervous because mom was in a genesis rehab center before and we weren't happy with it at all. But Albuquerque heights is a nice surprise. It's clean and seems to be well managed. We were able to communicate with the staff. And we were especially impressed with mom's nurse today, Christian. He was superb and very invested in taking good care of her!

Was not what I expected. Was told Albuquerque Heights was not a good place for our Loved ones. I loved the registration part, was easy to find the room. The nurse who was assigned to my brother was very friendly. All in all that one nurse who was very attentive to my brother's needs took that bad remark away and made me look at Albuquerque Heights in a different way. The rooms could be cleaned, floors swept and mopped, countertops wiped down, bathroom needed cleaning and etc.

There are some people in the world who go to work, do their jobs and go home. Others take those jobs to whole new level entirely. The staff here do just that. I couldnโ€™t ask to work in a more heartfelt caring environment. The care our patients get from our clinical staff is beyond impeccable. I am truly blessed to be a part of the staff here at ABQ Heights!

If it were not for a couple of good people I would give this place a one star. Most of the people who are at the nursing station will completely ignore you, even if they look you in the eye. If you have a problem, some of them are defensive and hostile. If you ask some of them to do something or arrange for something, most of the time they pretend to listen and then do nothing. There is very little follow through here. Tensin, Juan V, Nurse Maria, Nurse Omo, and Kyle are all wonderful.
