Dr Gonzales is a horrible doctor. I was promised treatment done in a specific way for over a year, when it came time for the treatment I was already checked into my hospital room and given an IV when he briefly comes in and says see you in a few days... When I was supposed to go home the next day. I'd already tried the treatment his way a year prior and it didn't work. When I finally got home 2 days later my pain was still there, I had several huge bruises on my arms and my clothes were missing. While in the hospital I had to scramble to make care arrangements for my toddler for longer than planned and reschedule several other appointments before the drugs kicked in and I was incoherent. I just had my follow up appt at the office where I complained to Lauren the nurse practitioner, and I was basically kicked out of the pain clinic with a general paper referral- which no other pain clinic will accept, as it must be faxed from the doctors office. And was then told they wouldn't give me any meds for my pain to hold me over until I could get into another clinic. If I don't get into another clinic by the end of next week I will start to go through withdrawals. Dr Gonzales is so machismo and will tell you what you want to hear and then not follow through and will do things however he wants with no communication, no explanation, and no regard for what you need to line up in your personal life before undergoing treatment. STAY AWAY!

The pain clinic is a joke. They told us over the phone they had moved and were at the women hospital. They aren't, they were across the loop in another building, the sign was cover by trees, so you couldn't read the name. My husband was referred there for pain medication, he had already undergone two botched attempts at injections which did damage that showed in imaging, and was given another injection by a doctor there that kept him in bed for 2 weeks. We explained all this to the nurse practitioner, Lauren Harris, her response was, "Well that wasn't us" , it was Dr Merhege, also with Lovelace pain management. She then said we needed to just find a doctor to issue prescriptions, because they don't do that, and said that was it. They did take a fifty dollar copay, and I am sure they will bill Medicare a hefty sum. So if your in pain, don't bother with this place.

I have had nothing but good medical care from this facility since they revamped their clinic. People on these reviews are complaining about being denied treatment and turned away from their appointment time. You are told well in advance that you're to report 15 minutes early; if you're late, you're denied. If you're there when they ask you to be there, you are taken in at your assigned appointment time or earlier. I was there when a man (sounds like AJ Max) was denied his appointment because he was not 15 minutes early, but late for his original appointment time; he continued to make a spectacle of himself. Sad! So you do as you're asked, you'll be pleasantly surprised! I appreciate my doctor being on time. All too many times you go to an appointment and have to wait and wait. Not here!

I'm glad Dr. Gonzalez moved to loveless pain, not downtown clinic anymore. I have no problem with him as my Dr. So far he has treated me well over the past two years. My issues is the receptionist and nurses at the downtown clinic. When they do answer the phones, there rude. There not empathetic or compassionate. The new location for Dr. Gonzalez, is friendly, helpful and compassionate.

The staff is nice. Today my elderly father had an appointment with the pain clinic. Ms L. Harris NP she cut his pain meds by 30 pills. She refused to listen that he can't survive without his full script. She said to him and the family that either go along with it or she drops him on the spot. The family Dr. Lino has the ability to get an DEA override. Ms. Harris answer she won't honor it. Dr. Lino said he can file for an injection with the court, of which she said she would not honor it. If Ms Harris/ Lovelace decides not to fill the elderly father full prescription by Friday September 2, 2022. I will have no other choice but to start legal proceedings.

The worst. Brought my father in for a new patient appointment and we had to leave. The doctor was running late.... Yet we were never advised that until one of the receptionist heard my dad complain to me. She began getting loud and defensive right off the bat. I have worked with physicians/surgeons. I have done front desk and medical assisting .. I know how things work. There was no reason whatsoever for this receptionist to get defensive or loud. Everytime my dad wanted to say something she would speak over him. We ended up leaving and not rescheduling. You should always notify the patient when a physician is running behind/late. You're there to provide patient care. Not to argue or speak over them. Stay far a away from this place. Lovelace has really gone downhill.

I recently started going to Lovelace Pain Clinic after I got diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome and I can’t recommend it enough. The doctors and staff here are so compassionate and efficient, they have done so much for me the past few months. Dr. Muche has been absolutely incredible in treating me and getting me the help I need to manage my pain. She takes the time to answer all of my questions and explains everything clearly so that I understand. I used to dread doctors appointments, but ever since I started coming here it has been an absolute pleasure. Also Isaiah is a real MVP and helped me out a lot when it came to faxing my information/referral to another hospital so I could get seen as soon as possible! Thank you guys so much, I appreciate everything you do!

I go to the Lovelace women's hospital on Montgomery.. I go to their pain clinic, obgyn, among many other services they have with my many issues and I've received nothing but great care, respect, and after ten years of going through all these issues, Lovelace women's hospital has been a breath of fresh air. I feel comfortable there and after seeing soooooooo many doctors over 10 years I just have been wanting to give up...but they are restoring my hope. Thank you all. -Jacie Jenkins 💜

The Best experience! They treat you with respect and professionalism. Called me with an opening much sooner. I had taken my mom to another Pain clinic at UNM Hospital a couple years ago and we had a horrible experience. I was worried about coming but now I am a patient for life there! Thank you all!

Everyone at the clinic from the front desk to the drs are kind and caring. This is a busy clinic yet I never wait very long for my treatment to begin. I like Dr Gonzalez very much and am so gratful for his expertise.

Absolutely trash at showing what charges will occur. The billing location sent to me was a Wells Fargo. Great to have such a rich office space there or in a chills or in the middle of a shopping center parking lot. 8100 Wyoming Blvd NE Look it up absolutely a money grab opportunity with how “he’s not connected to the Lovles hospital billing office.”

😠 My adult daughter who is autistic went there twice within the last week and left sobbing in pain. Zero compassion. She can barely walk and one nurse told the other don't get her a wheelchair she can walk just fine. No resolution. She is still in need of care. Horrible experience. Doctors don't want...
