My adult daughter who is autistic went there twice within the last week and left sobbing in pain. Zero compassion. She can barely walk and one nurse told the other don't get her a wheelchair she can walk just fine. No resolution. She is still in need of care. Horrible experience. Doctors don't want to do their jobs and scapegoat the patient making them feel bad for being sick and in pain. Heartless.

Truly appalled by the manner in which patients are treated. Husband was recently diagnosed with Cirrhosis and after two to three consistent E.R. visits was told he had an infection and that they weren't qualified to tell him anything beyond that. We had to look at his paperwork to get any answers at all. Where the hell is the compassion? People are not conditions! Nor are they lab rats! They are people who are sick and in pain. There is no heart, no compassion, no warmth. These physicians really shouldn't be practicing. Patients and their families deserve better care. Their bedside manner is atrocious.

Absolutely appalled. My aunt was taken to this ER, dying from cancer complications. On my way in to see her in her room (after an excruciating wait to even get one), there were literal convicts chained to walls waiting to be seen and being watched by armed guards, there were patients bloodied left right and center, left to moan and wail for help in hallways on gurneys... It was like the apocalypse. When I got to my aunts room, she was in the dark.... left slumped by herself in a puddle of her own vomit. She had puked blood all down herself, and, if she hadn't been sitting marginally upright, I have no doubt she would have aspirated on the fluid. She wasn't conscious, thank god, but she was a neglected mess. When she was finally transferred out to her hospice facility (4 hours later than we were told) the staff at the facility bathed my aunt and were HORRIFIED at the state she was in. The staff here seem to mean well, but the burn-out from the staff is absolutely RIFE in the air. You can tell that everyone is completely exhausted and they don't have enough staff to care for the volume of patients they admit. As a healthcare worker myself, I can empathize with this tremendously, but ownership should take full responsibility and put a cap at their admissions if they don't have the adequate staff-body to care for the people who come in. The sights, sounds and state of the facility are truly jarring. A horrifically upsetting experience.

Let down by the medical staff. My husband went in to get an abscess looked at. We went 3 times in the past month. The first time they didn’t even look at it and thought it was just scar tissue and dismissed us. The second time the lady was helpful and attempted to drain it and gave us antibiotics. The antibiotics would get him sick. We went in hopefully to get it looked at again because the area started getting really warm. The staff In the back office were dismissive and refused to drain it, she didn’t give a reason to drain she just flat out said she was not going to do it. She asked why we’d been 3 times this last month because of the same thing. Well look at his arm. She didn’t express any concern she wanted a drug test and asked if he was under the influence type of questions nothing that involved to his arm. We left upset. We got home. Broke the skin and drainage came out. Something we basically asked in the first place. It would’ve been great if medical staff was professional.

Terrible place they don't treat you like a person but like cattle. I have presbyterian insurance and they gave me the bare minimum of care. Look at all the terrible reviews and the owner's response. The owner says call us and we will apologize and make up for the poor care and contact them with your complaint. They will apologize on a public forum fr the poor service, but nothing ever happens. They know that there is only three er's in town and they are all bad. So they know they don't have to provide quality care. Essentially their message is we are terrible but you have no option but to ris going back. If the owner really cared they would make necessary changes instead of pretending they care. Please sell the hospital to someone that cares.

Sadly, Not a very pleasant experience. We waited entirely too long for a room. The security guard asked people accommodating those who were not checked in to the E.R. to leave. As if someone was actually watching those in need from the coziness of their glass box. What really annoyed me is that you have one very understanding security guard and the others who feel they have to enforce whatever policy they feel like. People had already been waiting with their significant others for sometime before the next shift starts and they begin asking people to leave. We take temperatures, we wear masks what else? Bottom line, ease up on the policies already. And don't be rude.

Dr Margie Teng almost killed my husband with her lack of attention to detail. After a major fall from a horse she determined NOTHING was broken & gave him the "option" to have a CT if he didn't feel better. He flew back to California 3 days later & ended up in the ER with 2 chipped vertebrae, 4 broken ribs, lacerated spleen and a bowel contusion. She has NO BUSINESS working in emergency medicine!!!

We were there for a total of 30 hours!! When I first wrote we were there 13 hours with my son. Still here. Moved us 6 times. So concerned with my sons well being thats why we are with adults that are drunk and vomiting. Asked if we could move to a safer location. No, he is being transported at 8 am.......that is another 7 hours away. You want him to sleep and feel better. Only check on him when I asked a question. Most of the staff was kind but over worked. The charge nurse was unprofessional and rude!! One thing to be rude to me (not ok) but talked down to my son!! Not acceptable.

Most of the staff is truly incompetent and do not care about patients at all, Equipment is outdated too. Maybe if they spent half the energy they spend replying to google reviews on retraining staff and management and looking into better/newer equipment it wouldn’t be AS bad, but this is by far one of the worst hospitals you can go to. 1 star is generous

Went in on Labor Day for an Arthritis Flare Up and felt rushed through like they wanted to be elsewhere. Am waiting for a Rheumatology Referral to be reviewed before I can be seen. My primary doctor's office Urgent Care was not open yesterday which is why I needed the ER. I thought Kaseman would be OK since they were convenient and they had evaluated me once before earlier this year. But I probably shouldn't have gotten my hopes too high because I was rushed through and prescribed a medication that I had tried in the past which helped a little but not good enough. But.. When I asked the nurse who was wathcing over me if it was safe to take with the current Anti Inflammatory that my primary has me on he said he didn't know and to ask my Pharmacy. Yikes!! I would have expected him to at least know a little about medications or if not at least be willing to ask the doc on duty who saw me but he didn't. Please, please please improve your care. I want other's like myself not to end up having bad things happen to them from medications being prescribed that might not be OK with other's that a person might be on. I will ask my Pharmacy about this med when I pick it up and also ask my primary what else I can do about these unexpected flare ups. I don't need these flare ups because they are too painful. But certainly, ER's like Kaseman should be able to handle conditions like mine much better so me and people like me don't have to hurt so bad. Thank you.

They dont even deserve a star! I took my 2 year to the emergency room.. As we are in a room 2 doctor/nurse examine my daughter then have me clean my daughters open womb.. Then they leave dont come back and when they return different doctors/ nurses come in as I explain what the other nurse /doctors said. she leaves my room and started to mock the simplest question i asked i didnt go to school to be a doctor or a nurse but they did.. Simple if you dont like your job simply leave dont make fun of people for questioning.. I will no longer come to this hospital nor will I bring my family

While moving my mother from Missouri to California to live with us she became ill. Stopped in Logan NM and ended up needing medical transport to Dr Dan Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari, NM. After an evening in the Tucumcari facility she was transfer to Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. Several days passed with no improvement and she was then transferred to Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital for Hospice Care. From the EMT's to each hospital, doctor, nurse, and all other support staff these people were wonderful. They were good communicators on a level that a non-medical person could understand. If you had questions they would take the time and care to answer all your concerns. That being said I can not sing the praises of the caregivers from Presbyterian Kaseman Hospital enough. I have never seen such careful, loving care provided by any other hospital/hospice ever. My mother's comfort was their top priority around the clock. These people are special not only did they care for my mother but they were concerned about me as well. This small hospice unit is a very special place and I will forever be grateful for their love and care for my mother in her last days of life.

I was sent home after all tests (including a CT scan) were done. They said I was completely fine even though their Final Impression Results shown they found an enlarged leiomyomatous uterus in the CT scan (that is the cause of my severe pain). I've gotten much worse since then. I do not recommend these doctors or nurses. Always advocate for yourself and find a doctor that will listen and won't dismiss you or your pain.

I am disgusted by the way my self and my mother in law has been treated in this emergency room. She has been there for 72 hours was given nothing to eat or drink because she was supposed to be transferred to main for surgery, but her transfer keeps getting pushed back. They are not allowing her to have visitors because she is in observation awaiting a room at main. Her nurse won’t give me any information over the phone. I went in to get information and was told to sit in the waiting room for over an hour and a half to wait for someone to talk to me. The charge nurse that spoke with me was extremely RUDE, gave me no information and told me I can go sit back down and wait until mymother in laws nurse could come speak to me. He told me it will probably be longer now because he had to come out and talk to me and waist time when he could of Vern helping her. He then went back to my mother and law and told her to quit calling me. I understand that they are under staffed and very busy but there is no empathy or reassurance. By far the worst experience we have ever had.

Sigh. Went in because I think I broke my foot. Can’t move it can’t move my toes cant bear weight and swollen immediately. Did X-rays and they came back and said they didn’t know if it was broken……. Gave me a splint a shot of liquid Ibuprofen and said to get more X-rays somewhere else later. The nurses are sweet and doing their best but to spend six hours there and get a “I dunno” is preposterous. Listen if you need emergency help just go to a bus stop…give the first transient person you see $200 and ask them if they know what’s wrong with you and wait for them to tell you they don’t know. Then sit there for five plus more hours while some weirdo starts screaming fights with their imaginary friend and another tries to cough in your mouth. It’s the same thing. Seriously. Health care has become an oxymoron.

Kaseman Er not really busy.. but why does house keeping keep walking past the messes. This place is disgusting. Blood pressure cuffs( disposable) patients removing the as the leave because wait is too long. House keeping has walked through 3 times. Yes no one has cleaned up mess from the last 2 shifts. Yes I agree with the triage. I understand. But this place is not being cleaned a s it should. I give Zero stars for the gross mess. Come on Presbyterian your slacking!!! I won't be coming here again it's a shame

Very disappointed in the racist cleaning woman they have working in the ER. I had been waiting for an hour and a half before she showed up to clean. For some reason she had it in her head that I had not been checked in, never mind the four other people who were waiting also, and had the guards check my bag twice, even though my bag had already been checked, I had already been checked in and I was waiting on the results for my x-ray. No rooms were available at the time. I luckily have only had to go to that emergency room twice in the past, but after this time I will never go there again. Train your cleaning staff to mind their own business.

This is a follow-up to my previous review, Heidi?? I think it’s Dr. Zamanian nurse reached out to me yesterday I needed a refill on my insulin. She said she would get this back to the doctor. I was went to Walgreens to pick up the prescription. They said there wasn’t a prescription plus I’m out of refills. This is the second time this is happened from this doctor. Also, this will be the second night I go without injecting insulin. Awesome right!! What a Hack. I fought tooth and nail to get back to Presbyterian healthcare, however over the last year I’ve seen Dr. Zamanian a kaseman he is useless. The guy comes in and as you’re explaining your concerns, he is yawning constantly. Does this guy party? Is he lazy when confronted by me he ignored the question. How sad just like there are bad engineers there are bad doctors, and when I’ve mentioned this to other PAs within the department, they said other people have spread similar concerns.

I have a history with this hospital dating back to 2016 bad times and good. I am in a different state of mind these days and getting my body fixed due to the damage I caused. They have taken very good care of me and made sure that I am safe during my neck procedures thank you for being there for me throughout my time in Albuquerque NM.

From the beginning it was bad. The person taking my son's vitals told a guy sitting next to him to take us to a room but then another guy (nurse) came to get a binder and they told him to. I know he wasn't expecting it but right away I could see that he was annoyed. Dr. Oldham, PA-C came into the room, put hand sanitizer on and didn't touch my son once. She asked us her questions about why we were there and she talked 100 miles a minute, didn't let my son fully talk and then said what tests she was going to have done. We were in the room and had already been in there for awhile, or so it felt like it and then the same male nurse comes in to type in the medication that they were going to give him in his IV. He was clicking his mouse hard and kinda lifting up the mouse to put it down hard, probably because it wasn't working properly but he didn't say anything because he didn't talk to us at all. As I was talking to my son about his Nike black sweater being discolored and telling him that it looks dirty the nurse had the audacity to tell me that his sweater looked dirty, but in a disgusted manner, so I told him excuse me but his sweater is not dirty it has discoloration from the sun. He started apologizing but at that point I was already upset. When all the tests were done, the dr came in again and explained what her diagnosis was all within a second because she talked so fast. I didn't want to ask questions so I brought the summary home and read it myself. I'm going to make an appointment with my son's primary doctor and have her explain the whole thing, the right way. This hospital has gotten so worse since COVID

I’ve always been treated well at Kaseman. The times I’ve been the nurses I’ve had were so kind and helpful and obviously compassionate. I feel much better in a smaller hospital. Every time I’ve gone, which was maybe about four times now I had the same experience a good one.

at first it seemed ok...but I was referred to do additional testing at a tricore facility..but the doctor never put in for the test nor did they give me a sample collecting kit, they also didnt tell me i needed one. I tried to call but the operator Daniel was unbelievably rude, unprofessional, unhelpful, and hung up on me because I didn't know exactly who I needed to speak to for this, I asked for help and he was rude. I called back got the same operator who informed me he was the only person working with no supervisor. I went back into urgent care to ask them for help and was told to sit and wait while they sent someone out they took none of my info and called nobody...I listened to the triage nurse mock me because she thought I couldn't hear her. I left after 50 minutes without assistance or my test. I finally found a phone number on the paperwork to the actual er desk and they were incredibly helpful and I appreciated someone finally giving their assistance

The worst mistake I ever made was seeking help at Kaseman. In 2019, when I needed counseling and couldn't find it, someone told me they take walk- ins at Kaseman. They didn't say, they don't let you walk out. When they asked if I had ever been suicidal, I admitted I had been in the past- that's all they needed. They took all my stuff and tossed me in a little room, didn't let me call my family, and led me to believe I would be home soon. Their lies stacked up- it was midnight before I found out I'd been locked up for being "suicidal." When they released me the next day, I asked to file a grievance. They gave me the runaround. Nothing got done. Flash forward to this past Monday, three years since. I came in for an outpatient procedure that had nothing to do with mental health. They gave me medication before going under- then said they were missing a form that I had already signed. They stuck a form under my nose while I was dizzy and I signed it right before they took me back. After the procedure, I was told they were admitting me for "observation." I woke up in a dark room on a rock hard bed that beeped when I tried to get up. They made me disrobe to do a "skin check" and treated me like a halfwit invalid. This time I called a lawyer, and he told me how to file a greivance. I am NOT suicidal, I have NO history of self harm. Stay FAR away from this place! No wonder NM is in such a huge crisis with mental health, just look at the way we are treated! One more thing- MyChart normally posts all my information about stays and procedures immediately. It took four days to get any cursory information and there are no details about the overnight stay.

My time with Kaseman goes back to the mid-80's. The staff has always been kind and managed, sometimes under very busy circumstances, to move me on-time to my appointment. Lately, I've used the computer check-in to great advantage. My doctors have given me the most exceptional care! When other physicians had given up on finding my issue, two doctors consulted (face-to-face) and arrived at a series of exams which pinpointed a diagnosis. I continue to rely on their information, and am grateful, beyond words, for their outstanding medical and personal care.

I went for x-rays yesterday and the lady who did them was so very kind. I guess the radiology department was short staffed that day, but the radiology technologist student who did my x-rays treated me like I was the only patient she had all day and she was so happy to help me. I'll be going back for more x-rays and I'm sure I will be will taken care of.

Worst hospital in Albuquerque. Not only did they treat me horribly as a patient, but after I was discharged they had no idea where my papers were to fill out my Short Term Disability that i dropped off a few days ago. The Nurses dont care about patients and treat them as a burden, no one forced the health care workers to be there. That is their JOB. If they dont want to take care of people then get a new profession. A hospital full of doctors, and NO ONE has any access to my medical records. If I could I would rate 0 stars. Terrible communication as well.

Kaseman is a Great Hospital over all, as far as having Dr appointments, or Day surgery, and minor things. As far a serious or critical care, no. I didnt want to go to kaseman to begin with, my choice was presbyterian dwn twn. Unfortunately now if your picked up by a ambulance, they are required to take you to the closest hospital to your address. Thus, I ended up at kaseman. Kaseman ain't equipped for my Health condition, so I had to wait 12 hours to be taken to another hospital, Rust. Which I didn't want to go, I had a bad experience there.... I think kaseman needs to upgrade to be able to provide to all needs of patients, and the people that thought it was a could idea, to shift ambulance and patients to nearest hospital are idiots.

I've been here myself once and my wife a couple times. Everytime we treated them with respect and received the same. I've read a bunch of these reviews and have sat in the ER plenty to watch these malingering people repeatedly treat the staff poorly and act like they are just supposed to take it. The entitlement of America today is appalling. Just because you are going thru a traumatic event doesn't mean you can act like a heathen.

On 08/13/2021, I was referred to Kaseman hospital radiology for an ultrasound, I paid $441.70 for the service before it was rendered ( I was told that was the total amount for a cash patient, which was after about a $100 discount for a cash patient). That was a mistake, because the ultrasound tech only spent 3 minutes in doing an abdominal ultrasound and she would not answer my questions afterwards. That was $8834.00 per hour for her service. Because she did not do her job, I had to do another ultrasound to complete it. On 01/24/2022, I received a bill from Radiology Associate of Albuquerque, PA for $104.00. I spoke to Ed, who said he would talk to his Baseman hospital and get back to me. I never heard back until I received another bill from Receivable Management Group, Inc, a debt collector. As a healthy care provider, a doctor, I would suggest you stay away from Kaseman. I got a nonsense response from the owner a few days after my post, asking me to contact him to discuss payment options. My point is NOT payment, it is your terrible health care services.
