This place was awesome; delicious food, courteous staff and there is plenty of indoor seating. We got a dinner plate with a chicken skewer and a gyro with basmati rice. The falafel, chicken meat, gyro meat, hummus and basmati rice were all excellent! Prices were reasonable for the portions we received. We left with happy bellies and will for sure be back!

FALAFEL? 🤯 SHAWARMA? 🤤 BAKLAVA? 🤯 KIBBEH? 🤯 GYRO??? 🤯🤯🤯 THE JALLAB??!!? TO DIE FOR! if you eat here and don’t enjoy your meal look into getting your tongue surgically removed because clearly there’s something wrong with your taste buds. This place is phenomenal. I mean bursting completely disrespectfully. I would eat every meal here until the day I leave this earth gladly. 🌹🐪🐫🏝

Very good portions. Lots of vegan options. I had the Lebanese plate with a hummus. My rankings- 1. baba ganoush. Creamy, flavorful and light. 2. hummus. Excellent consistency but very salty. 3. rice and lentils. Plentiful in quantity but relatively dry and lacking of flavor. Went well with the other dishes. 4. Falafel. I don’t know what it was about the falafel but I just didn’t think it was very good. The pita was solid. I’d recommend Sahara and look forward to trying some of their other options.

Great, authentic, and easy to find restaurant! Ordering at the counter is simple and quick. They’ve got quite the extensive menu of traditional middle eastern dishes. Whether you’re looking for sweet or savory, there’s something for everyone! I ordered the beef and lamb shwarma with fries and lemonade. The shwarma comes wrapped up tight, so if you’ve got to grab and go, they’ve got you set. Each was served up hot and fresh, and the lemonade was cool and refreshing. Check in for their specials each day as well!

IF YOU HAVENT BEEN HERE, GO!!! Sahara is genuinely one of the best, if not the best, Mediterranean restaurants I've ever been to in my life!! I went here with a decently large group of friends that had told me great things about this place but I've learned over time not to allow others to overhype restaurants as it will ruin the experience, and yet, I was still blown away. Food: $$ I got the Sahara Entree Plate with the Lamb and Beef Shawarmah with a water and it knocked me back a little over $13. This was an easy purchase especially considering the sheer amount of food that they give you as well (I ate this meal for lunch and dinner!). The food overall though was beyond compare. Every single item of food from the rice to the beef and lamb, to the gyro wrap, to the falafel, all the way to the Greek salad, everything was tremendous. The beef and lamb were perfectly cooked. The rice was fluffy yet dry enough to get that middle eastern style feel to it. The falafel was easily the best I've ever had with plenty of crunch but not burnt and packed with flavor. I cannot express how happy I was to eat here and will be coming back whenever I visit, guarenteed. Atmosphere: Just your average localized type restaurant feel with a mural painted of the name of the restaurant by the entrance with a surprising amount of space and likewise a surprising lack of people. They gave the food on red trays and fill up your drinks for you and I barely talked with the employees but it felt good enough. Overall: Just go. Thank me later.

Great food and quick service. I enjoyed the chicken shawarma dish. Large portions and great flavor. The dish came with hummus, a falafel, and dolmas as well as a salad and rice. I would definitely eat here again. A lot of door dash type delivery pickups while I sat and enjoyed my dinner.

I'm writing this review for my dog. I got the veggie plate and a savory zaatar pie, best falafel I ever had. *I* found the food perfectly spiced and delicious...my dog found it to be her new obsessive addiction. You can see that this is a good girl turned naughty who won't take bad dog for an answer. That pita is hers no matter what she has to go thru to get it. Oh the dramatics! The whines and cries and lamenting the loss of pita! Yes it was hilarious, yes she got some pita, yes Sahara will see my dingo show up on their patio with my credit card in paw. When a simple pita incites this much attention, 10/10 I'm going back.

This place has great food at good prices. You will not be disappointed if you Trey it. I had the Lebanese platter with a large babaganoush. Authentic flavors and lots of food. Well worth the trip!

This place is literally not good at all. We ordered food for to go and everything is hard and stale. Hummus looks not fresh at all. Tzaziki too sour! I’m sorry but I’ve been to authentic Mediterranean restaurants and I would never go back here. Everything is mid!

Great food, the greatest burger and shawarmas, and kebabs 🥹; my kids always have things to criticize but they were amazed by the food. I greatly appreciate the nice and welcoming lady in the front, she made our stop even more welcoming and will never cross New Mexico Albuquerque without eating here, the other good thing about this location is close to Highway so you don’t have to drive off your route.

The food and service are great! It's across from UNM so the atmosphere isn't great, but it's comfy and we love it. It's family run and they all were really nice. I also love that you can get in and out quickly and cheaply w a belly full of delicious Mediterranean food.

This is a great spot for middle eastern cuisine. Great falafel wrap, hummus, pita, and baklava. The salad was underwhelming and very oily, but that was easy to look past.

We travel a lot for Indian wedding and fusion weddings. We love to try the local restaurants. Yesterday we wanted to try Sahara. It has good food and quick service. Perfect for lunch and dinner. We had three wraps. Gyro lamb and beef, chicken shawarma, kafta lamb and beef. All 3 were good. Check them out. The inside has some interesting decor also.

Without a doubt the best Middle Eastern food I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The Lebanese plate is my favorite, but the gyro meat is also to die for. It's a shame this place isn't more well-known. Most times I come here, it's empty despite how incredible the food is.

The restaurant was clean and the food was fresh. But the food didn't taste as good as we expected from a Mediterranean eatery .

I've had better lamb, this was chewy. The rice was bomb as well as the other foods. Overall a good experience when your eating with your hyna!
