I visited the gastro department today to get checked and Melanie and Luanna were at the front desk. They were talking and chit chatting at the front desk and totally ignored me for a while. It's almost like I was being dismissed by high schoolers. Not to mention that they are so unperfessional they are wearing spandex which is not very appealing. They were very very rude to me and dismissed meme a said they would be with me in a second and continued there conversation. This needs to be fixed asap. I won't be ever coming back.

I made an appt a month and a half ago to see a provider I was told was great. They scheduled me and my appt was about to come up. I just received a call today stating this provider is no longer accepting patients and we need to reschedule you out another 4 months !!! Why even schedule me ??? Then call me to say "oh never mind... we cant do that". What a waste of time, this is very frustrating its already hard to find a provider for this now I have to pick up lost time and find another one. It just is unprofessional most places I have worked in medical will let the scheduled see the provider then cut the schedule off not schedule months up then tell all those people nope sorry !

Went to Gastro the procedure went well, was told that I needed medication. No precription was given until a month later. Had a reaction to the meds, called to tell the staff, still don't have the right meds. I have called several times to talk to the clinical supervisor, only to be given the run around. Maybe I need to contact the medical board, or an attorney, since I am still dealing with the condition.

My experience with this clinic isn't good at all. Everything takes a long time with these Dr's. The appointments are always 3 months out and the Dr's are not so good. One Dr in particular lied to me about a medication being honored to only later find out he cut the dosage in half thereby causing my health issues. I DO NOT recommend this clinic. You'd be better off at UNM Hospital!

After a recent appt here. The doctors are incompetent, and don't like to listen to your needs & concerns. This medical group is going down hill fast. They will just give you a procedure, and put you to sleep, and hand you a report of there findings, and tell you that there is nothing of immediate concern. But swear up and down that "everyone has one" and that it is nothing to worry about. Don't waste your time here. HIGHLY NOT RECCOMMENDED. Go to Pres or UNM.

Had my first colonoscopy done today @ Lovelace Woman's Hospital and Everything went smoothly thanks to Dr. Martinez and his wonderful staff. Everyone was super friendly and also very informative, they made me feel comfortable and made my experience as pleasant as could be. I would also like to say Daniella was so awesome!!!!

Dr gave me an urgent surgery procedure referral and the best they could do is schedule me 2 months out. I waited and then a week or so, before my appointment they call and tell me they have to reschedule and the soonest is 3 months away. The level of incompetence is disgusting.

Was waiting in the GI waiting room and they forgot to go see if I was there. So they decided to skip me and now I have to wait longer! Go to another place. They are horrible with their patients.

I had 2 appointments cancelled on me by Lovelace gastroenterology last year. Then when they can finally get me in it isn’t until January of 2023. Fine, no big deal. I’ve already waited 6 months, what’s another 4? Now in the new year I’ve switched insurances and it’s not accepted by them. Yes it’s on me for not checking my new insurance, but the fact that I waited around for almost a year and now I need to start the process all over again is ridiculous. Guess it’s good my insurance isn’t accepted so I won’t have to deal with this atrocious scheduling.

Just had a colonoscopy and the nurses and techs were friendly and caring. Thanks for making a horrible experience a little easier. Also, thank you Dede (Admin Coordinator) - I called you so many times and you were always informative and I'm thankful for you. And, thank you to Kathleen in Financial Aid - you are very thorough and got the job done - I knew I could count on you).

Dude didn't even know the pathogenesis of Barrett's esophagus. He also seemed over eager to medicate and didn't mention any lifestyle modifications. He could probably do your routine checkup, but don't expect great care or bedside manner.

I am done with GI at Lovelace after almost 2 years of services for nothing. The wait is ridiculous like others have wrote in reviews. The people are so rude! I called to complain about the staff not returning my calls and addressing my needs and they straight up told me I can’t complain to no one because the GI department is their own independent company, so they do what they want! Can you believe that?! They told me everything was fine according to my procedures but the results read different and they just keep giving the highest dose of medication without trying to figure out what is wrong, and I’m sick with symptoms 2-3 times a week for the past 2 years! It’s really medical neglect what these people are doing. I am calling UNM GI for a switch. Totally incompetent people here. Please avoid!

It took over 6 months to get an appointment here and on the follow up they suddenly stopped taking our insurance. They didn't even try to help with a referral or recommendation. My wife is very sick and they just dumped her to start the entire process again. I feel like this borders on medical negligence and seems unethical.

They say you can schedule with the gastroenterologist on my chart, you can’t. I waited an hour and a half on hold to schedule an appointment before giving up.
