This place exceeded my expectations. From start to finish, I enjoyed the art, artifacts the entire exhibition. The pictures taken do this no justice as some of the artifacts are very detailed and you have to see it to believe it. If history is your thing, this is a good place to come get a fix. Recommend to all.

1-1.5 hour visit time. Free for all Museum Members, USC faculty, staff, and students with current ID Free for All Visitors Thursdays from 5-8pm and on the Second Sunday of the Month Staff was friendly. AC was too strong, bring a jacket! If you park at the adjacent lot, be sure to ask for an unique quarter at the reception in order to leave the lot. Fight On ✌🏻

Quaint Museum in the heart of Pasadena!!! Very accessible and they have a good sized parking lot north of the building and the entrance is on Los Robles. Now to the exhibits; although limited, they are beautifully curated. Think about a smaller version of the big museums although they’re featuring only the “bigger” countries in Asia. Currently, there is a special exhibit about “Dismantling Orientalism” which about presenting the Orient not from the stereotypical eyes of the West which I believe presents a fresher and more accurate take on the subject. I’d like to affirm and thank Grace Nicholson for her vision in making this place available to all. Plan to spend an hour before hitting the dining spots in the area. I also recommend spending a few minutes in their garden and appreciate the architecture.

It is the best museum I have visited so far In Los Angeles county. However museum is small but you will learn something new. We appreciated the tea & Chinese woman clothes displayed. I would suggest to visit the museum when it is the free day. The staffs working are very friendly and welcoming.

I loved this museum, their rotating exhibition Global Asias is cool, has so many different types of art, very pleasing to the eye and culturally relevant. I also checked out the permanent galleries and it is definitely worth visiting. This museum is free during the month of May during AAPI Heritage Month

Pasadena Art Night have the opportunity to visit this amazing display of architectural photos taken in the 70s & 80s of often familiar LA buildings. Beautiful peaceful outdoor area to relax on benches under the trees listening to flowing water.

I am volunteering at this museum since 2016, and I am so excited to let everybody know about their new Chinese Gallery, Silk Road Gallery and 50th Anniversary Special Exhibition. The museum has transitioned to the place to immerse yourself into the Asian and Pacific Island culture! Request for the newsletter because there will be more neat exhibitions coming up at this museum.

Parking: free (at least on Sunday), they have the lot on the corner. Plenty of space then. Entry: check online. Free once a month on Sunday. Beautiful building, tiny koi pond, great for pictures. One section is contemporary art that is only tangentially Asian (usually they have Asian heritage). The permanent exhibits are amazing, some very old, and well crafted.

We're so fortunate in Pasadena to visit the USC Pacific Asia Museum. Our kids enjoyed their scavenger hunt and we saw some amazing pieces from the permanent collection and temporary exhibits. We missed the sign but free parking is available in the USC Pacific Asia Museum parking lot on the corner of Los Robles Avenue and Union Street, directly north of the museum.

Terrific selection of art and divided up by regions for the permanent collection. I really appreciate the hands on and interactive exhibits as well. Beautiful courtyard area and plenty of parking. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality of art in the newer collections. Attaching some of my favorite pieces of art I saw there. There is a free entry day each month. I think it's the second Sunday. Their gift shop had a really nice selection of goods.

Excellent museum with a beautiful relaxing koi pond in the middle courtyard area. They have a wonderful exhibit called The Box with photos and art utilizing the photos I highly recommend. Love the variety and dates ranges of artifacts from all over Asia. I was extremely impressed by the array of Fair Trade items in the gift shop. Each item is from artisans in the countries represented in the museum. I am a strong supporter of Fair Trade and for the museum to have so many items that benefit artisans with fair, reliable, safe, empowering work, while supporting the continuation of traditional crafts is absolutely wonderful. Great staff and the parking attendees went above and beyond as well. This museum far surpassed my expectations, highly recommend!

Wonderful Asian history museum. There’s a special exhibit on Bali at the moment that was amazing. The permanent exhibits are beautiful, the facility is quiet, and the courtyard is stunning and zen. Discounted or free tickets for USC students, seniors, and veterans. There is a parking lot adjacent to the museum that is free.

This museum is laid out beautifully. The architecture is beautiful, and the interior design is one of the best that I've encountered for the size of the the place. It is free to the public, and the installations are quite good. It is across the street from the Walt Disney Music Hall which is not to be missed, either. This place is several hours well spent.

It's a small museum but it has a lot of gems, including a permanent collection of ancient art as well as a gallery for contemporary artists. Admission is a bargain too -- $10 for adults, $7 students and free for 17 and younger. Free parking too, which is nice considering its proximity to Old Town Pasadena. The courtyard is also a lovely space for quiet contemplation.

A small local museum is worthwhile to visit the Asian collections and a beautiful Asian garden, in Pasadena.

Spent a really lovely afternoon here on their free day (Sunday). The lovely people who work here arranged a scavenger hunt in the gallery of older/ancient art. Very fun. Also checked out the modern exhibit printmaking from China. Really cool stuff I’d never seen before.

A hidden treasure. Easy access, free parking, intelligent display of beautifully curated works. Beautiful building and exceptional special exhibit

The courtyard is really beautiful and I enjoyed how the exhibit circled all the way around. It was a bit difficult to get around since the doorways are very narrow and my companion was in a wheelchair, but the attendants were more than willing to be accommodating. I highly recommend coming by and enjoying the beautiful exhibits.

I liked the new photo exhibit that featured the architecture over the photographer Wayne Thom's life. It is also close to city hall, so I would recommend seeing that if you like architecture, that way you take advantage of the museum parking that is included . Compared to other museums in the area, you can get more bang for your buck such as the Norton Simon Museum. Overall the USC Pacific Asia Museum do have some very nice pieces but it is sort of small but still informative and enjoyable 😉.

Love the fact that there is ample parking at this location. Hours are standard for most museums and they have free admission Thursdays usually. Make sure to come with time if you actually want to understand what things mean. Many people make the mistake of going to museums and not reading or understanding what was going on in specific eras. By giving yourself a bit more time you will understand what the artist is trying to depict.

A relatively small museum but so much to see! I went on a weekday afternoon and it was quite empty. Really nice courtyard with a beautiful magnolia tree. There's a nice interactive exhibition for kids in the first room. Interesting exhibition upstairs too!

Museum showcasing art and artifacts from Asia and Pacific islands. This museum overall is smaller than the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, but what this museum lacks in size is made up for by the educational content in the Silk Road exhibit, which was our favorite part of the museum. Everything in there was easy to digest but at the same time very informative and well thought-out, since it's targeted towards families--so much to learn in one room! Just that exhibit makes a trip to this museum worthwhile.

Dropped in to visit the USC Pacific Asia Museum on a Wednesday around 3 pm. No wait, and was able to see all the exhibits without interruptions. Wonder collection of art from different periods and areas of Asia. Awesome gift shop. Free admission for veterans and active duty.

Really great little museum with a lovely arrangement of exhibits. It won’t take you long to walk through and is worth the visit. We’ve been twice and our young son loves the first room with musical instruments and interactive maps.

A great downtown addition to growing LA's art scene. I was really impressed with the Mark Bradford's fabulous murals and for the inclusion of several other African American artists that were new to me. I utterly loved the (free) special entry infinity room and many other individual pieces.

I had a great experience with my family. The inside is clean and well-maintained, and there are so many interesting and cool Asian artifacts to see and learn about. My favorite was the samurai’s armor! I would definitely visit again.
