Great museum. Varied collection of art. Most of the art are from artists that are part of Amersfoorts history. Personally my favorite section of the museum was in the attic where political art could be found. Art that challenges style and balance.

In the nearby Elleboog church artfully displayed remnants of the former Armando museum located in this desecrated church. The city of Amersfoort can be glad that one of its major artists returned home. Very worthy of a visit!

All about Mathias Withoos,something new from me. The only problem was that there were no explanations in English only in Dutch. Thanks God,a visitor who was kind explained me about the family Withoos and their way of seeing the nature then in 17 th centery and later by Hans ,1962. Nature as an unit,life is ours only temporary,all you have today tomorrow could be dust,,,themes of painting.
