We visited in the fall off-season. A cold wind was blowing, but it was still worth the discomfort. It's a linear national park that stretches along the riverfront. Well laid out with good displays.

It's beautiful here in the spring. So many nice flowers an greenery. It's especially nice to come down here for dinner at any one of great restaurants and have ice cream from the waterfront and go for a walk.

Nice park with some historic view and river front. Good restaurants and ice cream place around. Must visit in summer and fall. Crowded during weekend and may need to park far but its worth it.

Awesome park by the riverfront dedicated to the Navy; there's plenty of smalls memorials and plaques, small trails within the yard. It's really well maintained, many benches, flowers, shrubs.

Attened open air weekend on a Sunday. Wonderful atmosphere. My kids played the games and had fun with the attendants. Enjoyed a glass of wine at one of the restaurants however they closed at 6. I thought for long weekend they may have extended hours. But overall nice evening out!

Great park for a stroll or picnic along the water. And learn a little history along the way. Breathe some fresh air and watch the boats. I always visit this park when in town.

My husband and I spent quite a few happy hours in this park last week. We had come to Amherstburg for a week and every day walked in the park, both during the day, early evening and after dinner. It is a completely smoke-free Park with multiple paved walking trails through it There are quite a few historical plaques about the former naval yard and the War of 1812; as well as a beautiful Monument. There are two gardens there, one is a rhododendron garden and the other a hosta garden with at least 50 varieties of Hosta. It is very well lit for a nighttime stroll, has quite a few park benches and sports a westbound view of Boblo Island and some spectacular sunsets.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ The park is so lovely. The spongy floor of the park is safe and fun. The splash pad is a great way to keep an eye on your kiddos but not have to be within a foot of them. So enjoyable!

πŸ‘πŸ‘ This museum is amazing and sobering at the same time. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the blacks that escaped to Canada from slavery in the US and how they acclimated to life there. It's very small and funded mostly by donations but still a must visit if in the Ontario area.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Great place to go and enjoy a wine flight and some charcuterie. Outside seating is nice and our friends’ 18month old daughter loved swinging in the swings as well as trying out all the chairs in front of the vines. We were there on a Tuesday and we’re pretty much the only people there… it was early...
