Not much to see when I visited as its still under major works and supposedly reopen 2018. I might go back to see if it all happen, otherwise Notre-Dame d'Amiens is always worth another visit! Vive l'Amiens ❤

This is an excellent museum over 3 floors displaying a wealth of history. The displays are well laid out and follow a logical pattern, and are well documented. They have some beautiful sculptures and works of art, which, if I had time, I could spend many hours looking at them. I am English and rely on Google Translate, which worked extremely well with the exception of a couple of small areas. I will definitely visit again if I pass through the area.

Great museum with a diverse collection. Especially enjoyed the paintings. The 1 thing that didn't make this a 5 star review is that all information given is in french. And you need that info to make objects and paintings come to life.

Beautiful experience in my home region of France. Great Jules Vernes exhibit, a Picasso work, and just outstanding visit. Beautiful facility and has a permanent mummy in house.

Fantastic collection of art from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. I like much better paintings before the XX century.. it's all craft, beauty, and eternal references.. after the two world wars the modern and abstract art seems more like something coming out of a nightmare .. with the exception of Daly, which is something coming from a dream, and street art like Bansky which is somehow the Earl of the pre-XXth century art and ended up on the streets ironically

The Musée de Picardie is the main museum of Amiens and Picardy, in France. Its collections stretch from prehistory to the 19th century and form one of the largest regional museums in France. The museum was founded as the musée Napoléon in 1802.

The museum of Amiens is very vault history. You must go or else you tottally worth it.When I went I learned a lot of thing. The museum is what you should visit first when coming to Amiens, it traces the history of my city. I recommend visiting the museum of Amiens also because there is a very friendly staff, awesome paints and wonderful scultures.

What an awesome museum? Definitely, if you're in the area check it out you will not be unimpressed takes about 2 hours or more pending on. How deep do you want to get kind of help if you can read French? But while waterplace, the pictures are amazing, paintings are awesome. They got sculptures that are cool and then you got the. Archeological in the basement which is also cool. And just wow, check it out for sure.

This was a big dissapointment. I had read somewhere this was the best museum/gallery outside of Paris. However if you are English this isn't the case. There isn't a single piece of curation in english under any of the exhibits, you make get a board, with some English translation when you enter a room as an overview , but that's it, even the new exhibition on jules vernes 20000 leagues under the sea , had nothing and hence we walked straight through. The 2nd thing that was dissapointing was the overall quality of the art , I know that it is a very individual experience, but some of the art seemed as flat and lifeless as the 70s pictures you bought back from the Costa brava in the 70s. I have attached a few of the more acceptable photos. But all in all this was a very dissapoiting experience..if you are French or are fluent in French you will almost certainly get more from it. For me, it was just very poor.

Great museum Art for every taste Fantastic sculpture gallery Ignore all the low ratings - they are almost all "it was closed"! Why would anybody give a review to a gallery they haven't been in? You would complain more of it was poorly maintained The information is all in French, but if that's a problem for travellers to France, then download Google Lens which will give you instant translations

Amazing art and few crowds. There is an astonishing room with wall-size paintings and light streaming through. Ticket was 9 euros, and we'll worth it in my opinion. Antiquities were solid.

A very interesting museum with a large and varied archeology collection (ancient Egypt, Greece, Picardy - even prehistoric times), great works of medieval artists and craftsmen as well as beautiful paintings and sculptures from 17th to 20th centuries. Several works of art were absolutely mesmerizing (like "Lady Godiva" by J. Lefebvre and "The Voices of Alarm" by A. Maignan). The building itself is beautifully restored. I highly recommend this gorgeous museum to art and history lovers longing for an unhurried visit with no crowds.

Poikkeuksellisen monipuolinen museo. Esillepano on tyylikästä. Erityismaininta hienosti tehdyistä infotauluista muumio-osastolla. Suosittelen.
