We went on one of there boats with the perspex covers seats about 90 I think, €13 each for a hour but €9 for a small wine to take onboard. The headphones were supplied but the staff never let people know they were free so a lot of people never got them from the tub, mine wouldn't work the plug was so worn in the audio socket I couldn't keep it in or had to hold it in the right position and missed halve the tour description spoilt it really. Oh and he reversed into a bridge, but a good hour spent

If you're seeking a memorable canal cruise experience in Amsterdam, this is the place to embark on. After our visit to the renowned Van Gogh Museum, we stumbled upon this gem, conveniently situated just a stone's throw from the museum. Alex, our friendly guide, seamlessly facilitated our ticket purchase and even provided valuable insights into the city's attractions. The cruise itself was nothing short of extraordinary (see the attached photos and videos for a glimpse). The 75-minute voyage aboard a glass-enclosed boat was meticulously planned, ensuring an immersive experience, complete with a small restroom for onboard convenience. Throughout the journey, the captain's engaging commentary, delivered in English, painted vivid pictures of Amsterdam's rich history and iconic landmarks. To further enhance the experience, the boat boasts complimentary Wi-Fi and provides headphones for non-English speakers to fully grasp the narration.

Great canal cruise past the most important spots in the city. Very attentive and friendly boat driver. Great seating, good visibility, we will definitely do the tour again.

Nice cruise around the beautiful city. Didn't bother listening to audio tour part of the cruise. Just enjoyed the sights. It is impressive to such a long boat through some narrow canals. Admission was included with my I Amsterdam card which I highly recommend.

On Tuesday October 10th, 2023 we had the opportunity to take a boat tour through the canals of Amsterdam in the best autumn weather. The trip took about 75 minutes and was just great. The captain's explanations were in English but also easy for our children to understand. I would definitely do this tour again.

We booked the open top small boat trip for 1 hour and it was great, our skipper was great and the boat only contained 7 of us. We learnt all about the history of Amsterdam and took some of the smaller canals in the city including bending over to fit under a bridge!! Would 100% recommend paying a bit extra for this amazing experience.

Loved this tour! We had the right amount of history and time to look at our surroundings. Our tour captain made sure to add additional info whenever he could and made sure to answer any questions if they came up. Lots of fun details and spend some time to sit with the wife.

Is the ride worth it?: It is Do they care about your experience?: No they don't We reserved our tickets the day before, and our boat had some technical issue, so the ride was cancelled. The captain offered the money back but also told us that a replacement boat was on their way in case we still wanted to experience the ride. We were too naive thinking "ok they are going to replace the boat and we will leave as soon as possible". Of course not, it was just the next boat in the next time slot available for customers. So we had to wait until the next scheduled ride was ready and full of the people that had bought tickets for that ride. Although that's not what our first captain had said. After 30 minutes waiting on the first boat, we changed boat, it was raining like hell so we waited inside the 2nd boat for another additional 1h. When we told the 2nd captain "when are we going to leave? we've been waiting for so long", he just said "yes, so?"... and remained quiet. I was flabbergasted with his response, he proceeded "you had a drink and you are going to have the ride, what else do you want?"... We probably had bad luck with our second "captain", a bald guy. The captain is the public face of the company, I think by no means a response like that to a customer is acceptable.

We were so lucky to get a open boat with only other 5 people on board. Captain 👨‍✈️ Martin is really funny and informative. It was a lovely and pleasant river trip!

Nice but only in English, no earphones and no language selections anymore. Explaining sound and the places were not well synchronized at least for our tour. This is our second Stromma after 6 yrs. Still nice ships fully covered with glass / plexi. Dont recommend during rain as the only pics you can take are shadowed with raindrops on covering glasses. Good that they put handheld wipers on every sitting group. Departs at every 15 mins in front of Centraal Station and takes around an hour, they also have 75 min tours from Leidseplein but less frequent. Better buy your ticket online for any time slot earlier and be at the station at least 10-15 mins ago to get a good spot, we preferred very back as it was dome shaped with better visibility (but rain ruined it most)

Small open boat, just a few people, was able to go into smaller canals. Very good guide, entertaining. We enjoyed this early evening tour very much.

Really fun!! Would recommend going on weekdays in the early afternoon / late morning so the canal isn’t busy and you can relax.

This was a very informative tour! We did this tour on a slightly rainy day and it was perfect because there are tons of windows and we had almost a 360° view. It was a nice way to see parts of the city that we had not seen before. You also ride by the Anne Frank house.

Very nice cruise. Clean boat, comfortable seat! Really worth it! And a really special compliment to the skipper who was on the 12:25 sailing from the Rijksmuseum today (Mon 11-03-24). What a super nice, sweet man. He had a great time chatting with us through the canal and knew all kinds of things to tell us. My 7-year-old daughter was also allowed to sit behind the wheel of the boat, which she absolutely loved! Super!

We did a canal tour starting from Central Station. The boat was excellent. However, what made the trip an enjoyable experience was captain Martin. He took over from the pre-recorded audio guide (which was very difficult to hear and not very interesting) at times and that was exactly what is needed for a canal tour. A captain who knows Amsterdam, tells funny stories and very interesting ones alike. Kudos to captain Martin.

Went on a small open boat. The fact that it’s a small boat is nice because you can go on the smaller canals. Our captain was very nice and friendly but unfortunately he spent the entire ride mostly talking to (or rather flirting with) one of the passengers and therefore didn’t really give us much information about what we were seeing… especially in comparison to other canal cruises I have been on. I learned more about the passengers life than I did about Amsterdam.

Took the hour cruise tour around Amsterdam. It was supposed to include +18 languages in the audio guide (you had to use your own device) but the WiFi wasn’t working, thus making the guide hardly understandable for us. When asking the staff they explicitly stated that they didn’t care about it.

Lovely relaxing hour taking in the sights and canals of Amsterdam. Headphones were handed out but didn't work on the particular boat I was on, commentary in different languages was through loudspeakers(not too loud and not constant chatter). Definitely worth doing ,especially if you have the IAmsterdam card.
