It feels wrong to write a bad review, since he was such a nice and welcoming person, however the job really was not done well. I came in for acrylic refill. The form was not done, he just rounded up after cutting the nails. Some nails are different length as well. Most of my cuticles have been damaged and now hurt constantly. The acrylic has not been evened or thinned out enough. Sure, I could have asked for a change, but I wasn’t sure when it was the finished result when not. I wasn’t asked if this is the form i wanted or anything except for the color. And then he was already painting them, so I decided to just deal with the fact i will have to fix them somewhere else. Also that would have just probably taken way too much time at that point Update: about a week after the newly added layer started coming off in most of the nails (about 6 out of 10).

I really didnt' want to write a bad review, but I had no other way of contacting Sunny and have been extremely distressed for the last three days. What was meant to be a relaxing act of "self-care" ended up turning into hell. Immediately after getting my. nails done by Sunny, my thumb turned swollen and red. For three days, I was in agony and finally visited a doctor that told me I had an infection likely from bad hygiene. As I am overseas, this whole ordeal cost me hundreds in doctors' fees and treatment, getting the nail removed. I trusted Sunny and his ability, I thought he was friendly, kind and pleasant but this whole aftermath has made me very distressed and upset. Don't know how he will even fix this. Very distressing situation.

I have been going to Sunny’s Beauty Spot for the last year, it is the best! Sunny is so sweet, welcoming and friendly. He always turns my mood from down to great. And he makes my nails perfect. He definitely is a professional at what he is doing and I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

well, Sunny's is super beautiful and loved by people, but the quality-price ratio really leaves much to be desired... the thickness of the French was different on several nails and I went to other salons with more care and pampering for less money !

I've been going to Sunny for pedicures and acrylic nails for two years, and he does a wonderful job. The color selection is good for both gel and regular polish. It's good quality work for a fair price. I always walk away with a smile on my face!

Loved every part of my visit, Sunny is a true professional stylist with both flair and a large potion of social intelligence. Not only I am very satisfied with the end result (not an easy task with my self-cut nails!), but he made me feel like I am a part of the local community of people who appreciate affordable sensibilities nearby. Most people will feel at ease in these chairs, from international opera singers to any other person interested in a good nail-experience. Oh, and it smells fresh too in the studio compared to many other local nail studios in de Rivierenbuurt/De Pijp!

If there are 10 starts I would give 12!! This is so far the best beauty salon I’ve been to in the entire Amsterdam! Sunny is super lovely, funny and of course professional! I could totally trust him for the nail colors and he never fails me! He does a great job with pedicure, fast and careful! That’s everything you could ask for! I would strongly recommend because I am definitely going back for all my nails from now on! I couldn’t find another place like this in Amsterdam ;)
