STILL NOT SORTED OUT! (01/12/23) Was charged €50 for two bottles of Heineken on my debit card after my token visit to this sleaze bar last night in Amsterdam. This was my final evening (1/2/23) therefore I couldn't sort it the following day. I have supplied all the information to identify myself and NO RESPONSE or any acknowledgement. Pretty outrageous for this to happen from a "reputable" business. No better than a common scam when the people who run it lack any honesty or integrity.

I perhaps did not see the best of this place. I went on Saturday of Pride. It was rammed and felt dangerous. The stairs are typical of Amsterdam but the crowds and the lights made them dangerous. The toilets were disgusting- overflowing with piss and this was carried out into the club. The staff were generally friendly but the place was really grim.

During the Amsterdam Pride we've visited "The Eagle". The barkeepers and the music are great! But the toilets are terrible! everywhere piss - not only in the toilets (in front of the toilets and on the floor) and thus it smells!

Never been to a place for a « after party » where they do not refresh the staff , nor clean the toilets ( piles of toilet paper) and all people working in the bar are exhausted after a night shift and the coat check does not even know how to smile or communicate properly .. SAD!!

I am not allowed to enter The Eagle during their normal business hours. But when the MeanTime holds their all gender parties I have an awesome time! There are enough toys around to (be) play(ed) with. Also a lot of live to the staff who make the MeanTime such an awesome party, Love you guys <3

My iphone was stolen here today (3rd-Nov-19) and I realised that in less than 10 minutes after loosing my phone. I immediately contacted the bar tender and explained my situation and asked for a phone to contact the police, he said he cannot help me and did not offer any support. I also requested a patron to call police but they did not care and ignored my plea. THERE IS NO COAT-CHECK. What a ruthless bar, bartender and the patrons!

I checked in my jacket AND my backpack with the coat check and had 6 individual bags with a gram of marijuana, in each missing. The only one remaining is hash. I will be back to confront the man who checked my belongings, other than that, this place was not impressive.

One of the best Eagle bars I have ever visited. Only 4 stars because drinks were a bit more expensive compared to other bars. When I visit a bar I make sure to buy a drink. I was annoyed with customers trying to sneak in the back and not buy a drink. Places like the eagle are known for being cruise bars. Cruise bar visitors should always buy a drink even if it's a soda. That should be a rule. But besides my annoyance with some customers. the staff super friendly and the music was great!!! Great DJ!!!

Super quiet on a Friday night. Good thing - Free Entry. Bad thing - you must buy drinks or you gotta leave. I had a drink here, and left for 1 hour, and then came back. The bartender immediately asked me to get another drink before I could even walk into the dance floor. I could definitely get more drinks here, but this place treats it as a entry ticket really turns me off.

It's my first time ever to feel discriminated by a gay bartender Ina gay bar. I was siting just behind the bar and all of a sudden the bartender and while he was talking to another customer, he was pointing at me and waving his both hands in a parallel pattern as he was describing a woman figure or a curvy body! After I told him it's not nice to do that he said it is ok to say that in the Netherlands. Is it ? After I told him this is bad costumer services he said don't come again!!!!

They should lower the price of drinks. But the disco inside is very cool. Oddly enough, there weren't many people there. :)

Could not believe the hate and how cruel they were to a trans person at this location. They were so mean and kicked a trans person out whilst saying very hateful discriminating things to them. Very hateful people! Do not support this establishment!!!

I went to your place on Sunday night yesterday. It had been more than 5 years since the last time I was in your facilities. Although I fooled around a little, the treatment I received from the barman that night was quite disappointing. He was rude to me from the beginning, but things turned sour when I went to get my second drink. I wanted to pay with my card. I had in my pocket my hotel room card and my bank card. A great venue to spend your time. Because of a very cosy space thanks to the layout with three floors, with the bar centered on door-level, nicely designed. There is even a wall full covered with mirror. The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. There is a nice staff too!!!

Possibly the best gayclub in the Low Countries! It's a small space and the drinks are quite expensive, but that's totally worth it for the hot audience and the great parties. A lot of dirty dirty things have happened between me and my friends in their basement. 😛 don't hesitate to go if you're in the scene and looking for a good time 👍

One of the worst place I went in this vacation. I saw many nice things on Twitter about this place but on Friday night is really boring. Compared to similar place is small, even compared to similar cruise ber in Italy (where we are not so open about it). If you don't want to waste time and money to to Club Church, much better and worth your time.

Had a great night here in August and particularly impressed with the friendliness & helpfulness of all the staff both bar and security. Thank you.

Like no, first of all the beer looses carbonation but most importantly, did they never heard about drugging? Then I asked to have at least a bottle cap back to close the beer, but he was saying they have cameras - like it would change the fact that any drugging taking place could still be taking place UNNOTICED as I was completely alone. If you want a darkroom go to Dirty Dick’s nextdoor or The Cuckoos Nest. Don’t waste your money here because what once was a well run busy bar is now part disco and part sex club that does neither well. And the staff is unfriendly to boot. Visited Eagle Amsterdam for the first time last week. I’m not necessarily much of a party animal, but I thought I’d swing by. Great atmosphere and I love the space; there’s of course a dancefloor and they have a darkroom which is great, complete with cabins amongst other things. The staff was also very kind, especially the Colombian bartender with the arm tattoo is a sweetheart (and definitely not too hard on the eyes either). Overall I’d definitely recommend the place if you’re looking for a fun night out with good people.
