ASSAULT AT THiS PLACE BY THE STAFF Such a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience at this place! We told the waitress (the girl in colored hair in black clothes). My husband was not feeling well and he almost fainted in front the bar. We went inside to buy water for him and later this disrespectful “lady” came on to us saying that she has to take the water back because it is not allowed to drink from glass in front of the bar. I get that - but HOW ON EARTH would you see a sick dying person in front of you and regardless that continue taking the water from him or demand to go inside in a very rude and aggressive tone? When my husband started telling something, she called us NAMES and ATTACKED us. Not only attacked, but she told us the F word while we left. I am wondering would she do the same to a Dutch person? Probably not. I am not gonna forget you because of this. I do not wish you well and I hope each of you will have to deal with rude people like yourself when you almost die. Karma will get back to you.

Cool bar with a pool table, flipper machine, live band and a DJ. Definitely fun to hang out here with friends. Recommend to early sign up for the pool table because queue can be long.

Just walk in and you will understand whether you like it or not. Nice beers, nice vibes. This is not a regular pub, but it has something unique in its character. Quite difficult to describe it, but it is worth the visit.

Bar with a hidden garden. The garden area is actually really nice and sunny in the afternoon/beginning of evening. Good prices. Offered me water with the wine. My Visa did not work there though.

The drinks are cheap, the atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, and the DJ played some decent music, with an interesting mix from 60s rock through to 90s punk (but no soundgarden).

Doesn't get much better then this, just be careful with the cucks that like stealing your pool coins

There was a very mean Dutch young bartender with long blond hair who showed very passive aggressive behaviour towards me, he talked to me in very aggressive and angry way just because I forgot to ask him for extra beer!! He switched to speak English even though he is Dutch and I was speaking Dutch to him, but just because I have an accent in Dutch (or perhaps my look?). Other than that, the bar is very cosy and nice and other staff are nice which I know from my previous visits!

Missed out on a seat in the sun, which I would have enjoyed a lot more, and ordered a beer I wasn't completely into which was my own fault. Still, this is a great bar to have a beer in with a friendly, punky crowd. And classic punk rock toilets. There was this one bloke who starting sniffing the walls around us while we were there. He explained that used to be the smoking area. We didn't chat further.

I definitely liked the atmosphere here. It has a pool, a vintage Ghostbusters pinball machine, an arcade machine and foosball! They even played movies at some point! I recommend it if you want a more noisy rock music pub.

The bartender was amazingly friendly. It's a join friendly and has a quite backyard.

Nice ambience and cool music. Beer was not very expensive, you give a deposit of one euro and get it back afterwards. The terrace is a plus if you are lucky to get a table 🤞🏽✅

Legendary SoundGarden. Classic dive-bar in one of the best areas in Amsterdam: beers and spirits at a very good price, good crowd and an awesome terrace with a view on the canal. Definitely worth it when the weather is nice, but also a good spot to hang out when it’s cold outside.

Cool vintage place outside the tourist jungle. You have the feeling locals also might enjoy being here. Summer garden was an unexpected bonus, but however was completely full on a good day. I didn't particularly like the standard draught beer though (something our food tour guide also commented on before she recommended the place). I sadly need to agree. For the rest this place has a cool vibe to it and is well worth a visit.

My favourite pub in Amsterdam. Right on the canal and generally a lovely place to be.

That's a very nice pub with good space, good music and pool tables. I just don't understand why such bright strong lights. But definitely recommended.

This place was pretty darn nice. They do have a patio overlooking one of many canals, but I stayed inside at the bar. There is a very wide drink selection there aside from beers, but you should give a few of the beers a taste. I was told the Tripel (included in photos) was a local brew that is regularly delivered by the brewer. Tried it and wasn't disappointed!

This is a friendly punky rocky place with graffiti everywhere. It's decent value for the area. There's a sofa and armchairs, pin ball, a pool table and fußball in one room. The other has normal chairs. They've a really nice space out the back overlooking the canal with trees, that gets the sun in the afternoon. They've good DJs and live acts. Lots of rock icons in big paintings on the walls.

Nice terrace, dive bar, chill vibes

Great punk rock bar! They have an amazing terrace on the water. Sometimes they have live music. All sorts of colorful people inside having fun. Bar is always busy. Good beer selection and the staff is generally nice. Toilets are usually not too busy when you gotta go... In sunny weather this place is packing!

Nice atmosphere. A friend went here before and convinced me to go here. Now that I know it exists I might visit again next time I'm in Amsterdam.

This is one of the best rock 'n roll bars in all if Amsterdam! Great music, beer, athmophere and always nice cool people. There's also a nice terrace by the waterside! Highly recommended!

This is my favorite hang out spot in amsterdam. Not 5 stars bc the beer isn't great and the pool table line can get messy sometimes, but it's part of the experience

My new fave place to hide away in the city. Secluded, limited outdoor seating next to the water way is a sun trap. Tucked away from busy roads whose sound is lost in the murmur of conversations on the tables. Art work on all walks. Excellent G&Ts. Friendly staff. Not clean and shiny, more lived in & real. Love!

historic SoundGarden cafe with an amazing terrace (garden) at the back where you can enjoy a beer or a spirit while watching the boats pass by over the canals. Very laid back atmosphere , just perfect to meet some friends and hang out with the locals.

This feels like a very local place which I really enjoy but can see it not being everyone's cup of tea. Right by the canal out back and a good selection of local beers (assumption as I speak no Dutch, but it looked that way!)

Cheapest pint of beer and glass of wine in Amsterdam. Do not expect any food or fancy glasses. Do expect a buzzing crowd, great service and good music. It also has a beautiful waterfront deck - for a great view and to smoke.

Chill place with nice bartenders. If you don't know about Beers or wondering what to choose you get free education and nice taste of beers from them. Has a pool table, football and some small gambling machines.

Lovely, fun and cozy. Pool and fussball table for fun. Outside area is amazing. Even provides good shelter from wind on an windy day. Staff is super chill and provides great service.
