Impeccable service. Romantic venue in a top Amsterdam location. The food was excellent, but "wow" effect only a couple of dishes. It's more towards a 2stars price, with 1star only, but justified by the location. Only 4/5 because I really didn't enjoy the celeriac dish - yuzu miso, coffee and truffle is just too much an hazard imo.

We had an incredible fine dining experience in this place.. The restaurant's location is in the heart of Amsterdam, with stunning ambience. The food, wine pairing, and atmosphere were nothing short of perfection. The impeccable service and kindness of staff added a touch of magic to the entire evening. 🍷🥂✨ For all the fine dining enthusiasts out there, this place is an absolute must-visit! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Vinkeles and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The waitstaff at this establishment were not only kind, but also incredibly professional, making me feel welcome and attended to throughout the entire evening. I decided to indulge in the chef's menu, which consisted of seven exquisite courses. Each dish that was presented to me was a true work of art, both visually stunning and bursting with incredible flavors. From the very first bite to the last, I was in awe of the culinary expertise that went into creating such masterpieces. The attention to detail and the precision in execution were truly commendable. What impressed me the most was the perfect balance of flavors in each dish. Every ingredient seemed to have been carefully selected and thoughtfully combined to create a harmonious symphony of tastes. The textures were also spot-on, adding an extra layer of complexity to the overall dining experience. Not only were the dishes exceptional, but the plating was also impeccable. Each course was artfully presented, showcasing the creativity and meticulousness of the chef. It was evident that a great deal of thought and effort went into every aspect of the meal, and it truly elevated the dining experience to an extraordinary level. Overall, my visit to this Vinkeles restaurant was an unforgettable one. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a truly remarkable culinary adventure.

I get calls from unknown numbers from abroad (Zwitserland), with people using fake names, stating they want to hire me to put positive reviews, to places I have never been to, for money. This restaurant was the first place they asked me to do a fake positive review on. This means, it's likely that this restaurant paid for all "positive" reviews. Be wary, my friends. Don't trust reviews. And don't trust restaurants that need to buy positive reviews.

Very overpriced: one star dining at two star prices. Quality was not exceptional enough to justify the price nor the exaggeratedly small portions. Pigeon dish was unique, venue was pleasant but overall an underwhelming experience.

Booked a table for 8 people to celebrate my birthday. Received the email confirmation asking us to be there on time. When we arrived there was no reservation. Manager tried to argue the email I received one month ago was not a final confirmation, and that she could see in her system that someone had contacted me about it. In reality no one called or even sent an email. With this type of customer experience I wonder where the Michelin star comes from.

Restaurant is located in a beautiful building on one of the nicer canals of Amsterdam. Very nice interior, with details from the past, when the dining room was a bakery. Food was excellent, really rich and full of flavors, especially with the sauces. French with some Japanese influences. Service was great as well, quite international, as you can expect in Amsterdam.

What I loved most was watching the top notch team work together to bring dishes to the table — truly professionals that enjoy their job. Everyone was sophisticated and friendly, fine dining without the air of arrogance. The wine pairings were fantastic. I’m usually not a wine person but figured it’d be a nice splurge on vacation. I was wow’s by the unique flavor profiles and textures from each glass. The food was spectacular, with a few fun off-menu surprises to start. I cannot recommend the anju pigeon enough! I’d love to return someday to try the vegetable menu!

I celebrated my friends birthday here. This is the first time I came after the last chef Denis left for Japan. The service was flawless. The food was delicious but slightly on the salty side for my liking but this could be very personal. Overall still very lovely and would still come all the time.

It was an amazing experience we will never forget. The staff is friendly, helpful and the food couldn’t get any better. 100/100!

Excellent food experience in a cozy and private atmosphere! The service was impeccable. This restaurant deserves both of its michelin stars! I highly recommend the langoustine ( a l'americaine, lavender, nashi peer & chips )!

I absolutely loved this place. The food the service, the wine pairing, the dimmed lights and the beautiful building... Just everything about it was sublime! Can't wait for the next time I come here! I got the Vegetable Menu and my friend the Chef's Menu with the Wagyu. The white wine I got first I will never forget. Thank you for the great experience!

Amazing restaurant. Romantic ambiance. Low lights, dark tones, quiet environment, tablecloths. Despite being a Michelin starred restaurant food is surprisingly delicious and recognizable. Friendly service. Book with plenty of time, hard to get tables.

Great ambiance, service and wines. The food was good, but only a few dishes gave me the ”wow” effect. Still all dishes from a high level, but it wasn’t as special in terms of flavor compared to other (cheaper) 1 star places.

Dined here twice, both times were terrific. Staff is friendly and professional, the dishes are as good as you can expect from a restaurant with this reputation.

Despite having "only" 1 Michelin star, Vinkeles is truly on a 2-star level ! The quality, taste & diversity of the dishes is stellar, staff is really attentive to every detail and the sommelier picked out great wines for the pairing. Vegetarian / pescatarian options can be accommodated by the kitchen

This review is for the private dining rooms that we hire from time to time. The setting is exceptional - modern and refined within a historic building - and the staff service level is exceptional. Food is modern and restrained with a fresh take on classics. Each evening there has elicited ‘oooohs’ from our guests based on the setting and this turns into a ‘great night, must come again’ by the end of the evening. Recommended.

Truly cozy environment, that’s how we summarize our experience. Went there last night with my pregnant wife and they were super conscious and accommodating about what she could eat. Compliments to the kitchen, the food is phenomenal, served at perfect temperature and nothing to say about the presentation, well deserved Michelin-status. The table service is outstanding. The sommelier is super knowledgeable and friendly, her recommendations were spot on! I recommend you try on weekdays, it is less busy! P.S. look at the nice gesture form the staff for our baby!

Excellent service and incredible cocktails. The food was amazing, lots of different flavors. The wine pairing was top notch and matched the courses perfectly

Incredible chef menu and wine pairing. The staff clearly love what they do and their passion makes for a truly exquisite culinary experience well deserving of a Michelin star. My favorite was the A5 Wagyu with Imperial Caviar, but it was all very good and memorable.

Nice settings and location. Food is too salty, portions are too small, bread looks defrosted and industrial (with hard dry crust forming after a while and dots at the bottom). I would have reordered 2 dishes out of five…. disappointing for a 1 Michelin star which prices itself as such, seems living off its past glory Waiters seemed more focus on emptying the wine and water bottles and ask us if we wanted some more, rather than cleaning up the bread crumbs on the table which were here for a while. Luckily one waiter came and stroke a conversation which made the experience more personable.

Amazing! The entourage, the perfect light, the right atmosphere, cozy and chique. The personal answered all our question with so much passion and kindness. The food was just amazing, every dish better then the one before.

Nice experience, nice and suprising dishes, with correct service, only needing some fine tuning. We had a dinner at Vinkeles, choosed the 5 course menu with wine selection and Wagyu beef. Starters are amazing, mix of flavours and textures that rise the bar on your expectations. Wagyu beef is not worth 60€ extra only for three very small slices, in my case was a bit fatty, so I would not choose it again. Deserts are more than enough, not sure why we also ordered cheese, and was too much. Overall the experience was great, I would have expected more advises on how to eat some dishes, like the cheese, which to start and which to finish with, and also we ordered a sweet wine, that should have never be served with cheese, I would have expect these to be advised, you expect them to be experts. Final invoice was around 300€/each, an insane amount for a dinner per person. We were celebrating, so it's a one time in life.

Fabulous food, but the desserts were a bit disappointing. Had the eight course tasting menu and everything but the desserts were amazing.

Very nice small place! Atmosphere is very romantic! Before dinner we also hade some cocktails in occo bar, they were very delicious. The food was great, very tasty and refreshing! Deserts was amazing very light, just perfect for quite long late dinner. Great selection of wine, very nice and helpful staff. And it was very nice to see chef Dennis Kuipers interacting with all his guests during the evening! Vinkeles team, Thank you for an amazing evening!

Compared with some restaurants who like garish presentation, Vinkeles focuses on food and taste more than others, and the beef from Gunma is incredible delicious!

Pricey upper level, but fantastic restaurant. went for the chefs signature menu, worth a try but it’s not cheap

Fantastic gastronomic dinner with friends. We opted for the full tasting menu which surpassed all our expectations. Beautifully balanced cuisine, very precise and complex flavors, top quality ingredients. Personal favorite was the European lobster. Incredible historic setting and service to match, friendly and genuine. Great selection of wines, will return without a doubt.
