Amazing experience. Food was great and the service was very warm. The chef makes all his best to every dish. He makes new pasta for every order so pasta is very fresh and chewy! Sauce is also fantastic. It’s little cozy restaurant so you can watch the whole itinerary how your dishes are made and arrived at your table through the kitchen’s open window. The chef looked like an atrist when he changed small amount of flour into beautiful pasta. We tried white veal pasta with topped truffle and seafood black and white pasta. We will never forget the taste. It was my soul pasta, best ever!!

Went here after our other choices were all booked up and boy are we glad we came here. The food was truly amazing and the staff was so attentive. If you’re looking for good Italian food in Amsterdam then look no further. We both ordered specials (the rizzato and home made pasta with sausage) and they were incredible. The price was on the mid to high side as we spent €70 for 2 with a couple glasses of wine. This is a great spot that I highly recommend.

This place is awesome. My friends and I were walking around aimlessly and happened to run into this place. They were closing for the day, but welcomed us with open arms. The family and food were amazing. I would recommend Quattro Gatti to anyone. Hands down one of my favorite places to eat in Europe.

Amazing fresh and hand made pasta - it took a bit longer than expected, but it's worth the little wait. We tried different sauces and all of them were reaaaaaally nice. The portions are really (but really) big - so come hungry or share the dishes. A bit pricy, but it was worth it, in our opinion.

A 10/10 experience of Italian cuisine in Amsterdam! I have been coming here many times to try this delicious pastry. The waiters are extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The interior is very cosy, and you feel like visiting a friend in their kitchen. This place remains loyal to the original concept and the Italian food principles, which says a lot about the quality of the food and overall experience.

You rarely find 100% fresh pasta, but at Quattro Gatti you can get the most delicious and homemade pasta of the city! Definitely recommend their homemade tiramisu also.

An hidden gem in the heart of Amsterdam ! Those kind of spontaneous evening starting with a glass of wine, followed by delicious Italian cheese and ending with a pastry tasting ! Special bravo to the Chef and his waitress wearing their hearts on their sleeves !

Very, very bad customer service. Bought 2 doughnuts. Man that works there made mistake with my order, which happens, but when I returned the doughnuts, he was realy rude acting like he is doing me a favour. And then he the thrown bag on the table in front of me in very rude way. Worked in restaurants, handled customers, so I find this very unaceptable.

Well, I just loved this little restaurant! We almost stayed in our hotel for food but so glad we ventured out. Friendly staff, cosy, very good food (good portions!) and great music in the background. If quiet, please do not just walk by. Go in and give it a shot and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I would happily come again and would recommend to anyone I know visiting Amsterdam. We wanted to order coffee, but we were told that we can’t get any, since it’s dinner time and they are serving only dinner. Ok, no problem. Asked if I could at least use the restroom and I was told no, since it’s only for the customers. How can I be a customer if they don’t want me to? No logic found.

Delicious food with exquisite ingredients. In an era filled with branded restaurants and social media advertising, Quattro Gatti’s pasta and atmosphere speak for themselves. Also love the fact you cannot book in advance and it’s on a walk-in basis. Authentic, quaint experience.

We had a quick coffee and pastry here, they were very good! We also ordered a pastiera (special Italian cake for Easter) which was amazing! If you’re in town, make sure to stop by for some nice food and coffee :). The staff was also very friendly!

The ultimate meal to rejuvenate you after a bike tour or busy morning exploring the sites. Al dente pasta as fresh as you will find with sauces layered with flavour - I recommend the putanesca. Perfect for solo travelers. The waitress had a lovely gentle demeanour which made me feel at ease instantly. Steep steps down to the toilets.

This is definitely one of the best Italian food in Amsterdam ! If you are in the neighborhood, you better stop by this place. The pasta is freshly made. It takes more time to prepare the order, but by the time the food arrives, it’s all worth the wait.

One of the best Italian restaurants we’ve ever been to, the food was amazing and to see the pasta freshly made in front of you was wonderful to see! The artwork on the wall was really great to look at as well as I believe these were made by the owner! Great little restaurant not to far from the Centraal so it is definitely worth the visit to it! If we ever come to Amsterdam again we will 100% be coming back here!

Fresh pasta in a friendly and informal setting. All five of us agreed the food is delicious but a bit too salty. Both the interior design and the service seemed to be intentionally a little sloppy, as if to manage expectations - this is a place for those looking for handmade, authentic Italian food, not fine dining or any kind of trend. Overall we had a very good time. Edit: came back and had a genuinely fantastic dinner. There's a soulful imperfection to the place that is charming and irresistable and rare to find in the bustling city center. Very highly recommended.

Stumbled upon accident, but a very nice one. Deserts are amazing and the you can taste that the thick hot Coco is homemade. Definitely will go here again, but then trying the main courses. My 1st ever review...

Absolute superb quality of food products. We had the baba and the tartufino and the whole time we were there the owner was busy making more delicious stuff. The highlight was when he lifted the lid of his pan and the whole room was filled with the scent of basil-tomatosauce. It’s like a throwback to the Italy of the 1980’s when quality was served everywhere. We will be back to try the handmade pasta!

We visited this restaurant after reading the great reviews but our visit was very disappointing. We ordered a small pizza as an appetizer. Pizza wasn’t very flavorful and the dough needed to be cooked a little more. For the mains we ordered the Cacio e pepe and the Amatriciana. As someone who has visited Rome numerous times both pastas were disappointing, specifically the amatriciana which didnt taste like it has pecorino. The cacio e pepe which was better still didnt taste that great. The pasta itself though was great and cooked well. Maybe we didnt order the best things in the menu but the visit was still disappointing.

I have never felt the urge to leave a review, but this was one of the better italian food experiences ever. The owner is a friendly and very passionate cook, with very friendly staff. I'm most definitely coming back.
