The place has a nice location, I had horrible experience with this place. Let’s start from the beginning. You need to provide your credit card information to book it. But they are going ask cash when you arrive. Because the card is required so they can take a money for the damage if it happens. That way they save money on online fees, an expense for the customer for their fee evasion. Their breakfast is just slices of toast bread and jars of peanut butter, chocolate paste, jam on the table, with cheap coffee and tea. Nothing for gluten intolerant people. Their rooms lack of cleaning and ventilation. For the money you pay there you can get more quality in a similar location. I would not recommend it to anyone. Don’t support such bad business.

The rooms would be okay if they were clean, but I don't think splatters of chewing gum on the wall next to your bed is a great thing. The bathrooms are so ridiculously small that an adult can barely fit in them, and they don't look clean.

Filthy. The carpet on the stairs was a tripping hazard and hadnt seen a hoover in a long time. Don't touch the fridge would be my advice. I Actually believe this place should be closed down. A health hazard to all. Not worth 10e let alone 40e. The Dutch government officials need to visit this place for the purposes of a health and safety inspection ASAP. Just BAD all round.

The rooms are relatively small, and there are bunk beds on three decks. If climbing or heights are a concern, it may be advisable to consider alternative accommodations. However, the central attractions of the city are conveniently located nearby, easily accessible via tram. While the street can be lively and bustling, adding to the vibrant atmosphere of the area.

The worse place where I stayed in my life. It's all about the money, cold and aggresive staff. They don't make their own decisions. The reservation pages decide their behavior and they just want as much as they can get from you. Dirty and very uncomfortable three story bunk beds.

It was the worst hotel experience in my life. First if all, they charged 5% extra for paying with the card. I have never seen that before. They did not tell it during the booking. The room was so dirty and dark. It was for 3 persons and we could all barely stand in the room as the room was way way to small. The bunk beds were too small and I could not fit my legs or hands properly. I could not sleep whole night. The toilet was abysmal and there was no soap in the toilet. They did not even provide any towels for the guests. The wifi is basically unusable. I checked the speed and it was 0.67 megabit/s. I could not load any website properly with the wifi. The neighborhood was so so noisy.

Not very friendly staff , not very clean , limited bathrooms and showers and dirty. They say that smoking is not allowed inside and stinks cigarette in the rooms and bathroom.

Our flight got delayed so we arrived a day late, we informed the hostel of this & they said everything was fine, then proceeded to charge us £97 each. Overpriced in general, the entire hostel smells of urine- including the kitchen. Atmosphere was awful, dark, dingy. There’s supposed to be an 18-45 age limit- this is not enforced, as a 19 year old girl I didn’t enjoy sharing my room with 3 elderly men. Beds are thin and uncomfortable & just a horrible experience all round. Ruined our holiday.

It's a hostel not a hotel! Great place! People need to remember that this is not a hotel so you can't expect too much! I thought for the price the place was decent! The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us with directions and info regarding a little green plant that makes people happy They are very knowledgeable and the rooms are nothing special but clean! And the bathroom is a community one so everyone uses the same one which is not the best. I would recommend this for a big group of friends looking to go to AMS to party, smoke and just have a great time! The hostel is only a place to sleep no more..

Absolutely terrible and the worst hostel I have been to date. It is extremly overpriced in summer. The staff is very unfriendly and we even almost got in a fight with the guy at reception cause we complained about the room. The light in the bathroom didnt work at all and it was very dirty. We left after one night. Do not go there fellow travellers!

It is terrible, very small room and very small beds. It is not clean, You need to pay extra for towel and if you need to leave luggage. There is no space to put your luggage/bag in the room. It was only option in the holiday to stay, it does not worth it to price.

Our hostel experience was marred by a rude receptionist and if making a card payment they would charge extra fee which is understandable.The demand for an ID as collateral until we returned with cash felt unwelcoming. Avoid this hostel if you're looking for a hassle-free stay.

I recently stayed at a hotel that I would highly recommend. The price was very reasonable, and the environment was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay. Unlimited tea and coffee. Smoking only outside

Great location around restaurants and bars, however you will need earplugs to sleep if its a busy night as you can hear a lot of whats going on outside in the streets. Didn't encounter bed bugs. Overall what you pay for is what you get, not exactly the ritz but did the job

BEDBUGS! Book at your own risk. Not cheap and not clean. I was on my phone lying on my pillow when a live bedbug crawled onto my pillow. We trapped the bedbug and brought it down immediately to reception. He told us that he will switch our rooms to the first floor and to leave the pillow in the reception area. It still had the live bedbug on it. I repeat, the bedbug was still crawling around under a loose bottle cap when we left the reception area. We stayed the rest of the night in a different room. It was 3:00am and we did not feel like there is anywhere else for us to reasonably go to. We left in the morning and headed back to Canada a day later. In the morning, another receptionist accused us (in front of a crowd of people checking out) of bringing the bedbug to the hostel because we traveled. This situation also meant that we had to deal with the additional financial costs of cleaning all our clothes and our luggages before taking a flight in case of contamination. Fun extras: garbage lying in giant puddles outside our first floor window. Dirty bathrooms that are so small your knees touch the walls. Bedrooms with no space to stretch your arms out. Horrible stairs that had absolutely no safety or accesibility built into them. For three people for two nights, we paid over 500$ CAD. Regardless of whether this was a poor choice on our end, I would think twice about booking with them. BTW, I'm still waiting for a response to my email alerting them to the situation.

Both the hostel facilities and the staff were disappointing. The room we shared with ten other people only has one window and no air flow so it was too hot at night and it was impossible to sleep. The bathroom, which has no window, is disgusting, it smells of piss at all times, it seems that nobody cleans it and as with the room, it is not ventilated and it is very hot. As if the deplorable facilities were not enough, ALL receptionists are VERY unpleasant people and unwilling to help, it seems unbelievable that their job is based on dealing with people ... to give an example, my last night I saw a tourist who wanted to stay in the hostel asked for availability and the immediate response of the receptionist was that no, well the tourist looked at the availability on the website and surprise, yes there was availability, it was a shameful situation and the receptionist obviously had to let him in. I have stayed in several hostels in my life and I understand that they cannot be compared to five star hotels, but I can assure you that this hostel does not meet the minimum standards in terms of hygiene and staff and for this reason I do NOT recommend ANYONE to stay here, the city is amazing and no one deserves to have such unpleasant accommodation to make their stay in Amsterdam miserable!!!

We received a very warm welcome at reception and everything was explained in full detail. However, the rooms are terrible. There was not even a hanger or even a wardrobe to store my clothes. And the toilet was very cramped, I almost got a caustraphobia to the point where I was squeezed.

Worst place in Amsterdam, no lockers, dirty bathrooms so tiny you can't even fit between the sink and the toilet, the rooms don't have anything in them, not even a chair you just have to put your things on the floor. Receptionist is extremely rude. On the last night I wasn't allowed to wait my friends in the common area and was forced to leave in a cold and rainy Amsterdam at 5 pm. You will be better off under a bridge or something.

Awful experience with staff, I think the guy working the lobby was high. He took 15 minutes to find our booking and then gave us the key for a room that wasn't for us, our beds were in use by someone else. We had to get another member of staff to fix this later as the first guy seemed confused and unwilling to do anything. The rooms themselves are cramped, hot, and noisy from the outside nightlife. They were 2 triple bunk beds for 6 beds total per room, very little space. There is no safe space for bags except in the lobby where there is a storage room with a lock, but no safety in the bedrooms

Needed somewhere too sleep last minute. It didn’t need to be perfect, I just needed a bed. I payed £28 for a night, it’s a hostel, not a hotel, from a value for money point of view, it served its purpose well. I personal found the staff friendly. I was offered free coffee on my departure. The location is great, restaurants and vibrant night life near by, 20min walk to central station.

Honestly I found this place really disappointing. The building is located in a good area, but leaves something to be desired for what it has to offer. Cleanliness is a missing factor, from the kitchen to the bathrooms, which makes the use really nauseating. In addition, the bathrooms, are inconceivably narrow, inevitably touching the door, to close. I’m amazed that it passed the health and safety checkpoints. The Receptionist proved to be truly disrespectful and unable to communicate with people! I can’t say the same about the rest of the staff. I sincerely recommend avoiding this place, I’ve been to other hostels in Amsterdam, even cheaper, and I must say that the difference is noticeable. The place where you stay has a lot of influence on the mental situation, in fact to me this place has caused a lot of stress and disgust.

I would not give this place a 1 star. Very run down looking, the staff and the whole place look very sketchy. The housekeeper looked like he would rob you. The dorm room is very small and the Bathroom is tiny, your legs touch the door when closed! There is no place to get changed so you are literally forced to get changed in your dorm room with people inside. The shower floor was filthy with hair. Don’t get me started with the bed sheets, 3 of my friends stayed here and 3 of our beds had stains on the sheets. The beds only had mattress protectors not a bed sheet and 2 of my friends didn’t get a bed sheet for their duvet. Shocking place absolutely shocking. All sorts of people are welcomed here, I was just unfortunate to of stayed in a room where I woke up to a man I shared a dorm with touching my vagina when u was asleep. When I went to reception to tell them about the event that took place, the man said the police won’t do anything and I had to ask serval times for a phone as my phone was dead to call the police. I found this man not helpful as he didn’t know the emergency contact number for Amsterdam I had to google it myself. I do not recommend this hostel, it is unhygienic and dangerous. I am pretty sure I brought bed bugs back to my house in ireland, this place is just disgusting. Even the kitchen is very bad. The place looks nothing like the lovely photos on booking.com. I will also be contacting booking.com to take this place off there site.

Worst hostel I’ve ever been to, my advice is to avoid this place and its rude receptionist at all cost. I paid 100 € for two nights in a literal dump. And I found out during my check-in that everyone else before and after me paid twice as less, even though I booked my reservation two weeks before in advance. The receptionist admitted that it was an unusual fee and called his boss to make sure it was right, but there was nothing to do. Absolute scam. And they still charged 10 € tax. The rooms are about 6 m2 (65 ft square) with two 3-bed bunks crammed into it. Very dirty and my bed still had used, dirty sheets on when I arrived. Had to go down and ask for new ones. The window needs to be open because of no ventilation, but the street outside is also very noisy, so good luck getting sleep. The toilets are way to small, almost touches the door and just way too dirty. The common room is two benches and dirty tables next to the reception, and the “kitchen” is a dirty back yard hall way with a microwave and mini-fridge. One of the receptionists is a rude a-hole who deserves a slap in the face.

The staff was friendly. And they hv cats which are freely roaming at the common area. We booked the 4 beds with bathroom ensuite so it was convenient and comfortable. There's a kitchen but no oven. It smells a bit but probably from the back alley when they leave the door open. The bedding wasn't great, missing some sheets. We were comfortable as we have the whole room to ourselves since there's 4 of us.

Beware!! This hostel charges you a ridiculous fee to pay by credit card and then refuses to give you a receipt when you've paid cash! You get told to email the 'manager' who never replies and they hang up on you when you call to ask for receipt. Tax Fiddle?? Awful, rude staff and filthy dirty hostel - stay well clear!

Great place to stay. Really comfortable area. 24h reception and great staff. All facilities included for a low budget experience. Piotrej was really helpful to give indication and directions.

Should be your absolute last choice for a place to stay. Rooms are small, common area is a few tables in front of the front desk, and there's no elevator to help move luggage despite having 4+ floors. The staircase is narrow and scary. The bathrooms are incredibly tiny, the toilets nearly touch the door. Beds in each room are not adult sized beds and are not comfortable. The hostel overall isn't very clean and not very social. I would not book this location again.
