As
a
single
mother,
I
went
sunbathing
with
my
2
small
sons.
Unfortunately
I
was
unable
to
arrange
a
babysitter.
I
asked
nicely
in
advance
and
indicated
that
my
kids
would
watch
a
movie
on
my
phone
while
I
would
lie
under
the
sunbed
for
fifteen
minutes.
This
was
completely
fine
according
to
the
friendly
lady
behind
the
counter.
Once
I
arrive
in
the
room
of
the
sunbed,
I
notice
that
there
is
1
stool
in
the
room.
Because
my
sons
were
going
to
watch
a
movie
together,
I
asked
if
I
could
have
another
stool
in
the
room
(otherwise
they
wouldn't
be
able
to
watch
a
movie
together
at
the
same
eye
level).
This
time
I
was
spoken
to
by
an
older
man
who
was
quite
old.
He
did
not
want
to
honor
my
request
because
the
gentleman
indicated:
"If
I
give
you
an
extra
stool,
the
other
possible
customers
will
not
have
a
stool
in
the
room."
I
look
around
the
studio
and
it
is
completely
empty
except
for
1
other
customer.
I
indicate
this
to
the
older
gentleman.
I
hear
exactly
the
same
answer
again
(while
there
is
no
dog
in
sight
and
I
was
only
going
to
sunbathe
for
fifteen
minutes).
It
was
unrealistic
that
the
tanning
salon
would
be
completely
full
within
fifteen
minutes.
However,
the
gentleman
refuses
and
also
indicates
that
it
is
forbidden
for
children.
I
indicated
that
I
understood
this,
but
that
I
had
reported
it
properly
in
advance
and
received
permission.
If
I
had
not
been
given
permission,
I
would
not
have
used
a
sunbed.
However,
it
fell
on
deaf
ears
and
the
gentleman
also
refused
to
let
me
borrow
one
of
the
many
chairs
in
the
room
to
have
a
drink/read
at
the
table.
A
bad
feeling
came
over
me
and
I
felt
like
I
was
being
discriminated
against.
I
found
this
to
be
a
very
unpleasant
experience
and
after
the
sun
session
I
also
had
my
registration
removed
from
the
system.
For
me,
this
was
the
last
healthy
time
there.
The
old
gentleman
was
very
unfriendly
and
I
do
not
wish
to
be
treated
that
way,
regardless
of
whether
there
was
discrimination
or
not
(I
will
leave
this
open
because
it
was
my
feeling).
Very
sorry
Sundays,
you
have
lost
a
customer!
By
the
way,
my
2
children
did
very
well
;)
