Amazing food and beer! And the atmosphere is great you can peacefully watch the canal while also enjoying people Watching on the busy bike pedestrian path way. When sitting on the patio.

We came here on our holiday to Amsterdam and actually enjoyed it so much we returned on another day. There’s 3 floors of seating and outdoor space so there’s plenty of space. The drinks are really good; I especially recommend the in-house beer. For food, we ordered the dutch mix of fried snacks and loved them. The cheesesticks were my personal favourite. The staff are really friendly and approachable as well. Really recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Nice early breakfast pancakes on a Sunday morning. Great location with seats on the canal and a lovely building. Staff were efficient and pancakes were good :)

GOOD cafe opposite Amsterdam Central Station in an old defense tower that used to be part of the city wall of Amsterdam. The tower was built around 1487. Simple but well-priced (for Amsterdam) menue. Nice bar. Good views. Recommended

We ate here for lunch. We were able to get seated promptly (although our seats were near a door which opened frequently letting in cold air as many Dutch eat outdoors so they can smoke). I had a salmon sandwich which was excellent. I also tried the mixed nuts which had a nice variety to take off the edge of hunger while we awaited our meal.

Loved the environment. If you’re outside, you get incredible views of the city or the canal running right beside. Inside it’s like a 18-century bar. Rustic, but in a good way. Food was great, same with the service. All round no complaints and a great place for breakfast for example

Just flew in today and looking for a nice place to eat and found it at Cafe de Schreiertower. .I had the 3 eggs over bread with bacon, and my wife had grilled cheese. For drinks we had sparkling iced tea, something we never had and it was so refreshing.bbwhen in Amsterdam look them uo

Really cool and typical pub, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, with peculiar furnishing and a lot of wood all around. There is plenty of choice for drinks, the hot chocolate with Baileys was lovely! In term of food you can also find different choices that looked quite traditional to me. The staff has been helpful and friendly!

Very nice atmosphere and very delicious pancakes 🥞😋 Avoid the touristic pancake shops in the center... They are all crowded and you have to wait at the front of the door.. I found this place by chance... Historic building.. nice location.. nice canal view.. had a beer and a cheese / fried egg pancake 🥞 can recommend it :)

The food was definitely tasty and had absolutely excellent service. Everyone was so nice and their fresh mimosas are LOVELY ❤️ loved the view on the patio overlooking the canal. Currently there is some construction in front of the building, so it's a bit of an awkward walk -- but worth it!

Great food, beer and a fantastic place to sit overlooking the canal. I had a beef burger for lunch. It was a great burger with a good portion of fries and garden salad. The service was excellent, very quick and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall a very good place. Couldn’t fault anything. Thanks

A sun-trap terrace, canal view and good pancakes… a good combo!

Absolutely brilliant! The food was lovely and reasonably priced, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the building beautiful but for us it was the staff that made our visit extra fantastic. My youngest son is autistic and the staff were wonderful with him. They were really friendly, kind and helpful. We will be returning!

Stopped by here for breakfast - ate outside on canal. Very nice view except concertina wire to keep people from going into their place after hours - must have been broken into in the past. Atmosphere was great other than that. My breakfast was one of the most expensive items and was definitely under what I should have received - one thin crepe/pancake and some strawberries. Definitely overpriced. As for service, I had to go inside to pay the bill - no hand terminal for waitresses? Place has outstanding potential, but Google Maps rating seems a bit high.

I'd never had Dutch pancakes before, thinking they wouldn't be any different to English pancakes. But they are. We have pancakes almost exclusively around Easter. We have them with sugar or syrup and they are definitely a dessert meal. But the Dutch have them as a savoury meal. I chose what I thought was the unusual combination of pancakes, bacon and cheese! It was fabulous. My friend had something similar but she also piled on the icing sugar and syrup. I think that's an excellent way to spoil bacon!

One of the best Dutch Pancake that you can get near the central station. The taste is very authentic and delicious. The service, ambience and food taste has brought us 5 star experience when eating and enjoying the canal in the evening. We definitely will return to this place for our next visit in here.

A great little place by the water with plenty vegetarian options. We had a tomatoe caprese, coffee and a strawberry pancake. All of which were amazing. But they charge for water, which is weird.

Not very nice service. When I asked for a Pancake With Banana and Chocolate, saying in Dutch Pannenkoek Met Banaan en Chocolade, the waitress asked me to say it in English because she couldn't understand when you say pancake in Dutch what sounds very similar to English. The pancakes were very poorly made, it was supposed to be a banana and chocolate pancake, but the banana was cut in a very messy way and covered with an ordinary sweet sauce.

Amazing pancakes. Amazing fries and even the orange juice was super fresh! Stopped by for a bit of brunch and couldn’t have picked a better place. Probably the best place we’ve eaten at so far. Not too pricey either, would definitely try eating here! Nice relaxing atmosphere and fast service :)
