This location was pretty clean, had a good selection of groceries, pre made foods, etc. The problem was they didn't accept credit cards. This was as of May 2023(!!). Other locations let us pay with credit cards. It's hard for tourists to not be able to use credit cards, but luckily there was an ATM in the store. After it charged us a fee to use it we got cash and was able to complete our transaction. Not the smoothest experience.

I came here and i tried to be as nice as possible from the first moment and the cashier started talking to me in dutch. i replied with a really big smile: sorry i don’t speak dutch and then she started making fun of me with other people over there. she keeps asking me things in dutch and i wasn’t replying. then she was like: Hello? are you stupid? can you answer me?! I LOVE ALBERT HEIJN and i also understand here people speaks dutch but i find it really rude.

They have little problems to treat you like a criminal on a regular basis in the cheks they perform in the self check in. The employes are rude beyond all expectations as well and agressive. For example this little black girl that was "checking me" except feom the fact that she took forever because shw kept making mistakes, she also refused to put my staff back into the ah bag where she found, not only i had to ask her which ia bad enough to begin with bit she outright refused AFTER being asked, claiming she has another customer. Ofc when you hire peaople that lack very basic education and manners these things will happen. Obviously this shop has a management issue because it is also empty on a regular basis at prime time. Ofc the employees feeling the selves are as slow as humanly possible as well. This kind of thing is double frustrating for me since i work in an AH myself and considering the fact that these lazy, rude, unprofessional employeas get payed the same as me rabs me the wrong way. Avoid this shop, i am sure there have to be better AH shops in the vinicity.

Wide variety of options. But really rude personal, some of them. I was today with my son, and there was a problem to scan cheese, I asked an assistant for a help. Three times. At first I was ignored, in the end the assistant threw my stuff away and left.

Always a bit dirty. There's always a water leak by the coolers so they just put toilet papers rolls everywhere. Most staff are very young and doesn't seams to know where to find anything when you ask for guidance. There is a security guard standing in there but every time I am there he is on his phone or talking to girls. So a tip, if you want anything from this AH, go there early the restocking is not the best.

Dutch high quality super market located in Amsterdamse port/ Bijlmerplein in Amsterdam South east. Reasonable range to accommodate all your grocery needs.

Nice grocery store, cheese selection was enough to make a nice souvenir mix. Watch out because you can't pay with Google pay there and foreign cards, fortunately there is ATM

I like shopping grossly here but just know that i the prices are a bite higher

Not for foreigners. No visa, nor mastercard and they go cheap with personnel = you end up waiting in queue. LIDL nearby is an excellent option

Small problem that was resolved quickly whilst paying by card at self-service - this branch does not take credit cards only cash or debit card. Assistant very helpful but another colleague of hers decided to intervene for no apparent reason, firstly to aggressively repeat what I’d already been told and understood by the first assistant, and then secondly to demand I give back the coffee I’d purchased - effectively accusing me of stealing. When the assistant who was actually helping me pointed out to her that it was infact paid for she decided to add insult to injury by being sarcastic to me which I presume she thought was the appropriate response but most definitely is not in a situation like that. The correct approach would be to apologise profusely as it’s a pretty serious accusation to accuse someone of attempted theft.

A very nice grocery store in the cool neighbourhood of Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena. Good quality food items at great prices. The customer service is really great. The staff are kind, friendly and very welcoming.

You can find everything but Albert most of the time has higher price than other shops, but we can't denied that has a brands.

I've been coming here for the past 2 weeks, and every time I'm here, they check my shopping at the self check out till. Every day, the same excuse that's a totally random thing. I'm seriously tired of your harassment. I'm going to start recording your behaviour and post it online. It's unacceptable what is happening. STOP THE HARASSMENT!!!
