A fantastic true Italian restaurant. The service is fantastic and the food is phenomenal. A must if you love Italian cuisine.

Lovely (romantic) ambience with authentic Italian food. Appetisers like burrata and parmigiana were both delicious (served with complementary sourdough bread). Then we ordered the beef tenderloin, ravioli, and truffle pappardelle. We finished off with panna cotta (favourite dessert), cheesecake, and nougat ice cream. I loved every bit of it. The only "custom" thing I asked for was to get the cheesecake without caramel just to make it more subtle (and not too sweet). Complements to Marco and the attentive staff as well! Too bad I did not take pictures of everything but there are some good ones I managed to save. Would love to go back and try the cheese wheel pasta :)

Authentic, cosy Italian restaurant. Friendly service and tasty food. Perfect for a family dinner out. The portion sizes are, however, rather large!

Want some noodles that have never been dried ot seen a refrigerator. Want some pasta that even an Italian would love. Then eat here. You won't be disappointed but you will need a nap.

Absolutely amazing experience. The best italian food i've had in Netherlands, a true italian experience which brings your taste buds to Italy. Marco and his team offers a friendly customer experience. Do not confuse this restaurant with PepeNero Cucina and Pizza which has a completely different menu.

Food in general is not bad yet was not exceeding expectation which was high. There was too much oil on octopus carpaccio. Black pasta was good tho.

Amazing food!!! One of our favorite restaurants. You need the make a reservation on time, but it is definitely worth it. Friendly staff too.

Food was good but the service was disappointing. The drinks took too long; the staff never checked whether everything was OK during the meal; and we found the owner quite rude. We were sitting right underneath a flickering light (very annoying) and he handled the situation poorly by basically telling us that 'it wasn't so bad'... He refused to turn down the light because he was worried it would bother the (bigger) table next to us.

Been looking for Marco for 5 years. The restaurant he and his chef come from was one of my top favorite 3 Italian restaurants in the world! All have closed but Marco has reincarnated with PepeNero better then ever! Service is perfect, food incredible. Truffle pasta, pasta parmigiana served flambe, lamb chops, prawns ALL OFF THE CHARTS! Even the Ravioli with Mozzarella was a perfect al dente masterpiece! On a health kick so no dessert but the menu had me almost cheating! With Marco's permission I will reveal his alma mater.

My favorite restaurant in Amsterdam. The freshest, most delicious truffle pasta. But, everything here is great. Cozy atmosphere and pleasant service.
