😐 I’ve been told that it was the best ramen in town but I’m still a bit sceptical 🧐. Overall it was good but me and my friends found the broth a bit blend (and I took the special tonkostu which is meant to be powerful in test). But the toppings were good and the sides were tasty. People often mention ramen, good, broth, tasty, tonkotsu, nice, taste, restaurant, delicious, soup,

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is super delicious and seems to be good quality. I can recommend getting the vegan ramen with tofu it's super good! Will always come back

We went here because my partner specifically wanted tonkotsu ramen in De Pijp. However, the tonkotsu ramen did not impress him as much as other ramen restaurants in Amsterdam (think Ramen Kingdom, Ramen Ya). I don't think we will be visiting this place again. However, if you happen to walk past this place, it's a decent meal. And if you order Japanese iced tea (for example, we ordered the jasmine tea), they give you a bottle of over 500ml, which is great value for money. The decor is also awesome inside, with an outside area if it's nice weather to sit outside.

Great place for a quick lunch! I love that there is a shop dedicated to udon. The texture of the udon was amazing and the broth was great. Would have loved more broth to noodles ratio but small issue. Karaage was good but tempura was under whelming. Staff were great. They were both helpful and nice. Sake portion was also generous. Overall, I enjoyed it!

A bit salty and portion is small, but simple and good taste of ramen

This is an comfy little restaurant which serves well seasoned ramen and tasty side dishes. Definitely a go-to for fast and delicious ramen. We got the spicy ramen (large portion) and the extra thick broth. Both of them are delicious with a creamy heavy taste. The bowl is filled with plenty of meat and the egg has a nice texture to it. The charsui (pork meat) is soft and tender but not over cooked giving it the right bite with the noodles. In the spicy ramen bowl was also spinach. It must have been washed very properly because i tasted no sand whatsoever. We also ordered the deep fried gyoza. The taste is amazing. The skin is crunchy and the fillings are soft and juicy. It's fried perfectly. A point of critique is that the heavy broth starts to taste to oily when you almost finish the bowl. Other than that it's a pretty good restaurant. The waitress are friendly and fast and the dishes came in quite fast to. We only had to wait 10 minutes or less. The restaurant has the vibe of an eating house, quick, sober but tasty. You would come there to eat with your friends or family and then get on with the day. Note that the soup are quite heavy to the taste. This might be a thing to keep in mind if your daily diners are not that heavily seasoned.

I came because my friend recommended me the place as the best ramen. Unfortunately this time was terrible, almost 50 minutes on getting our ramen 🍜and even worst: the ramen was EXTREMELY salty, couldn’t even finish half of it. I won’t come back for sure.

The food is wonderful! But... The young female waitress (25/9 1700-1800) should consider doing another job. She pulled a long face when I changed my portion fom classic to large after she had written down. Plus, she was not kind, but rather cold. I feel almost like toe tipping with her around afraid saying something that will upset her. Another example, a new customer sat down and she walked to him and said only "And?" Instead of "Hi" or "Good evening." No manners. Please, for the love of god FIRE her as she does this place a disservice!

Great food with a lot of options. Got the classic tonkotsu ramen. Good ramen with a perfect bite. The pork chashu was very tasty. Its a nice streetfood style place to eat and leave. Not really to stay after dinner and chitchat & not really comfortable to sit for a long period of time. 3 stars because of the waitres who “welcomed” us. So grumpy and probably not her day. Het attitude really bothered us and it changed our mood too. After a while another waitress arrived the with a bubbly happy mood. We rather had her as our waitress. =))

I really like this place, it is a restaurant chain in Amsterdam and has good ramen dishes. My favorite is with lemon and ginger, if I feel a bit sick that soup reminds my mom’s soup :) price is affordable and taste is delicious

Found an eggshell in my ramen & both me and my boyfriend got instant diarrhea. Okay, TMI but it's gotta be said. I went here with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday. We both love tonkotsu ramen and wanted to try the Kotteri 'oily but deeper taste'. It was absolutely delicious! But after we finished about half our bowl we both started getting stomach cramps. My bf went to the toilet first while i watched out belongings. I started rapidly sweating and getting very painful cramps. I quickly went to the toilet when my boyfriend returned. We both got diarrhea right then and there. I also found eggshells in my ramen, for which i got a 'drink on the house'. We told them about our toilet adventure, and they said it happens more often because of the fat in the soup. So unless you're excited to hang out in their toilets, i wouldn't recommend it. We thought something might've been wrong with the batch, but appearantly not. Not sure why they'd keep a recipe on the menu that causes this for several customers.

The best vegan ramen I’ve ever tasted. My non vegan partner also agrees that his ramen was really tasty.

Had the tan tan men classic and roasted aubergine. They were OK. Soup lacked depth, spice and flavour. Aubergine lacked flavour and sauce was too sweet. Will give it another shot and try another dish. For now I prefer the spicy miso ramen at Hinata or Ramen Kingdom.

My all time favorite ramen place! Tan Tan Men is the best! I always eat the vegan version. If I choose to eat eggs that day, they are cooked to perfection, guaranteed! My fiancé usually takes the classic Tan Tan Men with pork belly and it's his favorite dish too.

I had the vegetarian ramen. I’m sure all the the ramens are really good, vegetarian ramens are hit or miss. This one for me…..didn’t quite do it. The toppings were excellent, however, the noodles a little too hard? Like hardly cooked the broth wasn’t even making them soft. The broth was fine, a little fishy tho. That’s personal taste ofc. I also had the vegetarian gyozas which were very nice. So crispy and delicious. The service and ambiance was very nice. The staff were very attentive and cool. Seemed like a good vibe. Veggie ramen not so great tho.

Really good ramen! They have gluten free noodles, which are good as well. My husband and I had a great dinner here, along with an app and drinks. Highly recommend eating here.

Wanted to go to another restaurant down the road but didn’t book so couldn’t get a table. Found this ramen spot in a cold windy night, and decided to give it a try. Luckily only had a 5 minute wait. We had one lemon chicken and two tonkotsu ramen. The person having the lemon chicken ramen is a picky person but was pleasantly surprised with how well the ramen was. The tonkotsu I had was also superb because it is tasty yet it doesn’t make you thirsty. In Asia, good broth should not need to add a lot of salt or whatever ingredients in a degree that makes it extra salty and then makes you thirsty. Instead, true professional soup is done by cooking the ingredients for long hours thus giving it the full bodied flavour. I don’t used to finish ramen soups because lots of ramen shops take shortcuts and just rely on powders to get quick flavours. I finished the tonkotsu soup here and this speaks louder than anything. Also had karaage and chicken wings. Both were awesome. Good price point as well. Just felt that it is abit under staffed. Would visit again if come across this ramen shop again in the future as I am just a tourist.
