    The two appointments I've had here: both began 20 minutes late, and bundled me out of the door after 5 minutes. Have been told by each doctor they only have time to deal with one problem before they need to see next patient. Ridiculous that this passes for healthcare here and I have never missed the UK NHS more. Every ill solved with ibuprofen. Preventative care? Forget about it! Only gave two stars because I assume the rest of the Dutch system is also this bad. I'm told it wasn't always this way - can't understand why people aren't angrier about the state of it all.

    Unfortunately, even after persevering with this practise I decided to move after a year of bad experiences. Rather than having a proactive response to complaints I was often told to come back after 2 weeks or asked what do I think I should do about my complaints?! I often felt put off going to the doctors though needed to go. The receptionist is often judgemental and unhelpful. All in all very uncooperative staff.

    whenever i call and request to speak English they shut the phone after i waited 15 minutes on line next one i again stand in line for 30 mins and call shut

    Update (1 year later) - Still not answering the phone, virtually impossible to arrange an appointment. Really confused why this is happening, not a good luck for the health service here... (how many more 1 star reviews to this place need to get there act together, health is no joke)

    Really bad experiences with the reception. Good experience with doctors itself. Not willing to register my partner I live with (while obliged to), due to the distance from practice (I moved 1 block further from previous address). When pointing out the distances in minutes (5) they refer to zip code change, which is clearly an indication of finding excuses to not register another patient (my partner). Really disappointed in the way they treat existing patients.

    The doctors are not calling when promise, they do not care. The assisstant provides all the consults instead of a doctor with the argument "I had the same last week". Not professional. They also never send you to the same GP: always someone else.

    Worse health centrum i've belong in many years. Terrible assistance, they never think you need to visit the doctor. Impossible to get an appointment.

    It's remarkable that my comment keeps getting deleted even though I'm simply sharing the truth. This is by far the worst GP practice ever. The assistants are rude, unprofessional, show no understanding and completely lack empathy. Telephone calls are handled arrogantly without any actual help. Despite sending four emails, I have been waiting for a response for two weeks.

    You call to make an appointment and at first they don't answer the phone. After trying a few times you are then told that they are not available and that you should try at another time. Then you call again and press 1 ''emergency line''. They will answer, but you will be told that the line is not intended for that. Apparently they are busy and therefore cannot answer the phone to schedule an appointment. What kind of dredging practice is this? That will be a complaint to the Disciplinary Board!

    Never ever go to this health center for the care you need. I have experienced so much trouble in the years that I have been with this practice that the room is now overcrowded. It is a mystery to me that they are still allowed to continue after all the bad reviews. As described in other reviews, you can take at least an hour of your time to speak to an assistant (if you are lucky enough to get one within the small time frame; they are often 'in consultation') and you have to move mountains to get an appointment with one of the general practitioners. The doctor I got was different almost every time, so you don't build a bond at all and they always have to check your medical history in a poorly kept administration. During a consultation they make an unsympathetic impression, do not listen well and usually treat you as if you are a number that needs to be dealt with before they can go on their break or weekend; a very bad thing. I often had to return several times for health complaints that I had, because they often do not take them seriously and therefore do not draw up a quick and correct treatment plan for you. This means you always end up in the same circle and this story starts all over again. If you have the opportunity to register with another general practice, don't hesitate for a second!

    I had a problem for three months. What was done? 4 tests, two appointments where the doctor asked me, what she should do now, prescription of antibiotics, which turned out to be exactly the wrong medication for my issue and just made it worse. A simple prescription-free medication from the pharmacy helped and if the doctor had actually examined me properly, I would not have had to go through months of problems, tests and appointments. Plus the costs that I have to pay for this mess. No need to mention that I will switch to a different huisarts.

    Moved four years ago, but always stayed at the New West Health Center. My GP Mrs RC Ardjoen is a very nice and caring GP. She has always helped me with advice and suggestions without putting pressure on anything. A very nice personality with good knowledge and skills. The assistants are also friendly and helpful. For blood tests or a listening ear, everyone always knows how to put me at ease. Despite the increasing pressure in society and in healthcare, I always feel taken seriously and time and attention was paid to me as a person. My big thanks for that!!
