If
you
care
about
your
safety,
don't
stay
here
I
stayed
here
last
week
and
am
very
disappointed
in
the
hotel
safety
and
the
lack
of
management's
response.
Around
1am
in
the
morning
the
evacuation
alarm
went
off.
All
guests
exited
their
rooms
and
tried
to
leave
the
building.
The
front
door
(rotating
door)
was
blocked
with
people
stuck
in
it.
Front
desk
clerk
was
clearly
confused
and
stressed,
and
was
not
communicating.
After
several
guests
urgently
asked
him
what
was
going
on,
he
was
passive
aggressively
telling
us
there
was
some
smoke
in
the
kitchen
and
"he
was
busy".
We
should
go
back
to
our
rooms.
For
my
own
safety
and
others,
i
wanted
to
leave
the
building
in
case
there
would
be
a
real
problem.
We
wanted
to
find
the
other
exit,
but
the
front
desk
clerk
only
shouted
"you
are
not
allowed
to
go
there".
Imagine
this
situation
with
a
crowd
of
people
in
the
middle
of
the
night,
all
confused,
some
in
panic,
some
with
crying
children.
One
guest
was
very
upset
and
told
me
he
wanted
to
throw
a
chair
through
the
windows
if
needed.
From
the
hotel
perspective
there
was
no
communication,
nobody
seemed
to
be
in
control
and
nobody
seemed
to
care
about
getting
the
guests
safe
first
and
then
dealing
with
everything
else.
After
a
while
we
all
went
back
to
our
rooms.
But
the
situation
was
still
not
under
control
as
the
alarm
went
off
several
more
times.
If
this
has
been
a
real
emergency,
this
situation
could
have
caused
serious
consequences
as
the
hotel
did
not
look
after
our
safety,
nor
did
the
hotel
staff
seemed
to
be
capable
of
handing
the
situation.
In
the
morning
I
asked
to
speak
to
the
manager
at
the
front
desk,
but
there
was
nobody
available.
The
whole
situation
was
downplayed
as
"fake
alarm".
I
sent
the
hotel
an
e-mail
with
my
experience
and
safety
concerns,
but
so
far
this
e-mail
has
not
been
acknowledged
nor
responded
to.
