The rooms were small but that wasn't a problem, the walls were thin so you could hear the others in their room. The bed was very comfortable. The service was good, there were free fruits and cofee/tee. The location was in a great spot and the price could have been cheaper for the things they offered.

The location was pretty good, but the room was extremely small, even smaller than the typical rooms in Japanese hotels that are famous for being super small. The price was too high for the quality of the hotel and, of course, it was not well represented in the photos. To be honest, I think my friend and I got tricked! There was barely enough space to put our baggage. It's not recommended, especially if you're traveling from far away with lots of luggage.

Stayed here for 4 nights and upon the first night could not sleep with the heat. The rooms are extremely hot with no Aircon, we had to use the fan supplied from as soon as we walked into the room until we left the next morning, but the problem was it would overheat and let off a huge alarm which startled us awake so could not sleep properly in trying to balance the whole night switching it on and off to avoid this. The room wasn't hoovered once, the bed was only straightened with the same sheets, hand soap was almost empty, shower curtain was dirty and sink wasn't wiped - not exactly the standard of cleanliness we had read about and originally prompted us to book. Cleaner knocked to change towels at 19:00 which we found was a strange time if they had been apparently cleaned earlier in the day. A couple of items went missing from the room and was not resolved upon leaving. Free coffee, water and fruit in the lobby for guests which is nice touch, so good location and friendly staff is the only bonus of staying here.

Continently located but rooms are extremely small and walls are thin, I had a loud neighbor next door and couldn’t sleep all night. The rooms are dusty and not clean enough. Also to mention it doesn’t have AC, if you are Travelling in summer, good luck! Also want to mention, if you ask they will provide you with a fan, they are so dusty, u wouldn’t wanna turn that on! This place is not well maintained but priced at a higher price because of the location.

Listen to the other reviews and avoid this place at all costs. Without a doubt, takes the crown as the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my entire life for the cost. The rooms are dirty, small and prison-like, facing a back-alley wall with no natural light and smelled like stale smoke, the walls are made of cardboard so you can hear noise from every side and neighbour. There are no amemnities like tea/coffee or even water in the rooms. No air conditioning. Dirty hallways and stairwells that are unkept and smell bad. The beds are small, uncomfortable, and barely have duvets that fit them. I ended up forfeiting the second night and just went to the Eden hotel closer to the city centre which was almost the same price but infinitely nicer. Please avoid this prison at all costs. The staff were just normal but it doesn't make up for the fact that the rooms were horrible.

We visited Amsterdam for couple of nights and learned that when Van Gogh was put in the mental asylum, his room had a window. We were not so fortunate as our basement cell at Mozart hotel did not come with one. A picture speaks a thousand words - just take a look at the shower curtain that was used in the bathroom.

Holds the title as the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. We arrived after 10 days in Croatia and were placed in a basement room which was uninhabitable. There was water with cigarettes floating on the group outside the window which made it feel unsanitary to open at the nighttime. The room and bathroom were dark and dirty with little to no ventilation. The next morning we requested to be moved to a different room, although the staff were friendly and accommodating, the state of the rooms made this fact a little redundant. You can find much better hotel rooms in Amsterdam for the same price. Avoid at all costs.

We arrived at 18.30 to find only twin bedroom left, despite booking two months ahead. Reception was concerned we would not be able to fit out suitcases in room. Let alone ourselves as extremely compact room. Shower was over bath and we had advised we needed shower only due to mobility issues. We were given a double room next day on fourth floor which was very suitable for our needs. Lift worked well. No breakfast but plenty cafes, shops in surrounding lanes, street. Tram next corner went to central station . Very convenient location. Tea/coffee in reception area. Staff very accommodating . Well worth a short stay.

Location is great as it is right in the centre of Amsterdam overlooking a canal! Like other reviews here rooms are clean and tidy but very small. Would recommend to use as a base. That being said I’ve stayed in Amsterdam a few times and I can only presume the majority of buildings in the centre have similar sized rooms, this could be from how buildings have been built in the area (tall and narrow).

Good location, however half way through my stay the toilet's sealant failed and my bathroom was covered in toilet water. They waited a full day to transfer me to another room (that wasn't an upgrade) and didn't knock any money off. Also lost one of my best jumpers and trousers there, and they refuse to own up to it. Go to a hostel instead

Dirty small room, mold in shower, noises from the toilet above and u can hear your neighbours really good. Paid 200 euro for a room that's not even worth 50 euro. Only positive was the staff and the location.

Excellent and helpful front desk staff. Great location. Unfortunately, the room was filthy—stains and paper on the floor, hairs of all varieties in the bed sheets. Posted just a sample.

I booked a room at this hotel in May, for a cheapish price intending to stay at the end of July/beginning of August. I arrived at the end of July to be told at reception that my card has been declined at the beginning of July, so my booking was cancelled. There was no communication about this, and my travel and another hotel booked on the same card through the same booking company, had no issues at all, and it makes no sense that the hotel thinks my card was declined approximately a month after I booked the room, but a month before I was due to stay. When I got there I was told that the first night they were fully booked, so I could book the second and third night at an elevated price, but would have to find other accomodation for that night. Considering I have had no issues with my card, or the booking company, my only conclusion is the hotel cancelled my booking to charge someone else more money for the same room. I wouldn't book this unless you don't mind risking finding another hotel at very short notice! Looking at some of the other recent reviews, it looks like the hotel does this routinely, and is probably an easy way for them to make more money. Avoid, Avoid, avoid unless you're already paying a premium. They might not cancel your booking if they already think they're fleecing you.

The hotel is well located in the centre of town. Near shops / restaurants / bars /etc. all within walking distance. The girl on reception was friendly and helpful too. BUT the room, although clean, was teeny weeny tiny. I could barely stretch my arms much less swing a cat in it. And the walls are paper thin; I could hear my neighbour snoring their head off in bed, and the people above who kept dropping things on their floor / my ceiling! Not the hotel's fault of course, but I wouldn't return alas.

Amazing staff, clean rooms (and spacious) it's close by the city center, so you don't have to use public transport. Some rooms have a great view to the small canals. Stayed here for 2 nights and will definitely come back!

Stayed here last week, location was great and walking distance to everything. Exactly what we wanted. **On our last night we were awoken by a mouse in our room !!!! ** Reported it to reception and he did nothing, told us nothing he could do for us. On checking out we had to pull and drag an apology from them. Very disappointed and traumatised by the whole experience. The way the properly dealt with this was awful 😣

I felt humiliated for wanting a nice hotel and spending 570 euros for 3 nights. Because what I got was: Holes on the towel, stained bedsheets and carpet, scratches on the walls. The tiny room was only a 70cm space around the bed.

Very good price for what it offers. Centrally located in a quiet and safe area. Reception staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks Tamer for your hospitality and help. I would certainly stay there again and recommend it to anyone who visits Amsterdam!

Advantages is throttle it is close to everything in the city, don’t expect a Fancy hotel as you get what you pay for, the rooms are very small but it’s great for a few days.

Very friendly staff especially Giuliana. The room had a very nice Location, where you could reach every hotspot in the City. Room was clean and we enjoyed our stay. We would book again!

Probably the worst hotel you can stay at in Amsterdam. The rooms have no sound proofing at all, meaning hallway conversations keep you up as well as any noise in adjacent rooms. The cleanliness of the room was abhorent and the size of both the room and bathroom very much lacking (yes I expected a small room for the price I paid, I got even less). The pillow and mattress quality was so poor that even when it was quiet falling asleep was near impossible. Don’t kid yourself by thinking it’s ok for what you pay, it’s not. Unless they’re paying you to stay there, in which case I would still consider.

Great location, good price. But… Rooms are cramped up with no space, and no air conditioning (only a tiny fan) there was stains (burnt) on the shower but otherwise it was really clean. The good things are that the beds are comfortable (not that comfortable but not uncomfortable) Pillows are good, but blanket was heavy/wayyy too heavy and hot. Overall staff are nice and its an okay/average hotel..

Our son got sick with COVID in Portugal and we couldn't go on to our trip to Amsterdam. We immediately contacted Mozart Hôtel through booking.com. Their response: NO refund, even though it is self-evident that they WILL rent our room to over travellers, for double booking and gain. We are still planning on flying to Amsterdam at a later date, but we will make sure to avoid this hotel.

One of those puny rooms without a view and without aircon under an uninsulated roof with a broken showerhead, a terrifying carpet and electricity that turns off when you leave it. Bike rental was closed by the time I checked in and isn't at the hotel it is elsewhere. It was very expensive and disappointing, but Amsterdam was great so 100% for the location near all my favourite parks, museums, canals, gay bars etc.
