Dan Murphy's

Bar Irish pub

😐 This used to be a good place to watch Liverpool Football Club, hence the nickname Danfield. As of 2023, it isn't. They don't show the match consistently and the staff don't even know how to work the TV feeds. I think they may be under new management, which explains the shift. LFC is not a priority... People often mention great, Irish, good, staff, Amsterdam, atmosphere, nice, Great,

LFC is not a priority and the rest of the pubs' charms are not enough for me to ever visit again.

A great place to chill out after a long day touring the city. Good views and a reasonable price for a whiskey on the rocks.

Nice bar. Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Bar man was Irish which was great to see in an Irish bar. He gave us good tips on places to try. Really nice vibe. Would recommend

Female bartender missunderstood, what we said in a foreign language, we tried to explain, ended up getting an extra 30€ on the tab for nothing, She billed ordinary vodka as Grey Goose... So would not recommend.

Nice irish pub close to the city centre with seats on the square, which was busy with people in the evening. Nice and das service, but prices are rather high for the beers.

We stopped in to Dan Murphy's Irish Bar for a couple of pints to cool off from walking around the city. The bartender was friendly and quick with service. Everything was pretty clean and nicely kept. We didn't stay for food, so I can't say anything about that. But there is a lot of outdoor seating, in addition to their indoor space. As a Liverpool Football supporter - I was really happy to see that this is a great place to take in an EPL game - especially if you're a Red. If we're back in Amsterdam again, we'll definitely stop in!

Waited 10 minute outside on the terrace seating and still no service so we upped and left ...... Definitely will not be seeing me again

Cozy atmosphere Irish pub, very nice beers. Yet, the bar next to it open the music quite loud, so you gonna hear 2 different things playing at the same time 😆

Staff is lazy. You have to go order inside even when the bar and terrace are empty. Beer is great. Once they tried scammed us (i think he just could not count)

Decent pint of guinness and good for the rugby. Get in early as pretty small. Only not a 5 due to the bar staff behave as they are doing you a favour with every drink served. To be fair though - it's part of the charm...

Despite being a Liverpool FC pub it's a grand place. If you ever need a classic, no nonsense Irish bar with great craic, accept no substitute.

Really nice place with plently of seating outside. Good atmosphere and although I was not there for any sport, they seemed to show a lot. Will be back in the future!

Delighted I got to have a Murphy's after many months away from Ireland! The lads behind the bar are great as well.

Decent bar. Went in to watch the rugby as one of the few places in Amsterdam with it on. Awful Guinness for an Irish bar, but otherwise everything was OK

Was alright. Toilet situation was poor and to be honest 2/4 staff were soo miserable. It suited us to stay as we brought tables together. But wouldn't rush back

Centrally located at Leidseplein. Like all Irish bars, a great place to catch a football match - with multiple screens and patrons from across the world. And of course Guinness on tap.

Great place. Had a real good time. Ask for Gumley, buy him a beer and you have a night you'll never forget or remember.

Very nice pub and very good beer. I've been there with collegues during a business trip, it was our favourite pub. Young bartender with brown/black hair and green sweater knew our orders by heart. He was very kind and fast. Also the other bartender was very kind, but we've spoken only one time with him. If I go back to Amsterdam someday, that will be the first place i will go.

Terrible. We were sitting 30 minutes and the waiter didn’t come to us, even when we called him, he just ignored us, we just left. Train your staff!!
