This is one of my fav Italian restaurants in amsterdam! A cozy, elengant, intimate and fancy restaurant close to Westerpark, where all the Italian tastes are delicious, ingredients High quality and all the dishes so well presented! Furthermore the staff is so kind and professional! I mean… what else?

Lovely cozy place next to Westerpark. Great authentic Italian kitchen, especially "primi" dishes (the first dish, meaning pasta or risotto). Tiramisù highly recommended

Intimate restaurant with just a few tables, and a limited food menu. For starters we ordered the arancini balls, these were tasty. For my main I got the squid ink risotto, and we all shared the side of tomato salad. Overall the food was tasty, but I do wish there were more options on the menu. Service was just ok, had to flag down the waiter a few times, not really paying attention to our table even though it was a small space and not crowded. Would I come back or recommend this place to anyone? No. There’s way better Italian in Amsterdam than here.

I had one of the best Italian meal so far in Amsterdam! Every dish extremely well presented and taste was amazing! The atmosphere and service was just on point! Really friendly! Really advised we will be back for sure

Excellent!!! Starters, main dishes (Primi in Italian 😜), the desserts (the “Il Dolce Della Casa”, chocolate cake with cappuccino ice cream ), evening was very good. The restaurant is not big and I suggest to make a reservation upfront in order to avoid disappointment 😜 Ok for vegetarian but not for vegan. The service was good and the staff very professional. We will come back.

AMAZING!! If you’re in AMS you MUST make sure this is the first place you go to! I don’t really know where to start describing the evening we had at this place! Their menu is extremely well put together! Their flavours are to die for! Excellent service that is simply unparalleled!! Also - how can food be this delicious, how?! I cannot recommend this place enough and I beg you to give it a shot if you’re ever in Amsterdam! Their chef made a couple of exceptions for us and went out of his way to make sure our food was exactly how we wanted it - even though he didn’t have to and we would have gladly chosen something else on the menu.

When your canoli taste better than the ones you tried in Sicily, you understand that you are in the right place. Perfect ravioli, perfect parmigiana. Charming owner and service. This place should pop up in the selection of the best Italian food restaurants in Amsterdam!

I especially liked the desserts - cannoli and tiramisu. The mains and starters were good for 4 stars. The service was exceptional though! And atmosphere very cosy. A gem in the neighbourhood and will come back

One star for the nice service but the food didn’t even remotely live up to the expectations we got from the earlier reviews. It’s okay but not sophisticated at all. Cheap supermarket bake off bread maybe says it all, the rest of the food was in line with that. Overpriced cafe food with an fake authentic Italian twist. Avoid.

Primi is one of my go to places to eat Italian food in Amsterdam. I am always amazed by the absolutely delicious Sicilian dishes the chef surprises me with. The owners and rest of the staff are genuinely friendly, funny and welcoming. A warm hospitality that is hard to find here in Amsterdam.There is no other place in town I can compare it to and always find my way back to this cosy restaurant. Definitely worth a visit!

Wow wow wow. Last Sunday I celebrated my 30th birthday at Primi in Amsterdam West with a group of 13 friends. I can confidently say that it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and seated at an amazing table. The service was impeccable, and our food arrived quickly despite the large group. What really stood out to me was the incredible Sicilian cuisine that Primi serves. Each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The chefs, Damiano and Mitcha, clearly put a lot of care and attention into every aspect of the meal, from the quality of the ingredients to the presentation on the plate. I was blown away by how delicious everything was, and my friends who had already been to Sicily said that the food was even better than what they had experienced there. In terms of location, the restaurant is situated in a great spot in Amsterdam West, with easy access to public transportation and plenty of nearby parking options. The atmosphere and vibe of the restaurant were also excellent - it felt cozy and welcoming, with just the right amount of buzz and energy. Overall, I would highly recommend Primi to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Amsterdam West. The food, location, service, and vibe are all top-notch, and I can't wait to go back."

Yesterday we visited Primi and we really loved the atmosphere. The food was super tasty, we ordered a lot of fish and duck which tasted so good. Definitely go here! A little different than all the standard Italian restaurants. Worth to visit!

Incredible Italian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere -- on par with the best I've had in my native San Francisco. I highly recommend making a reservation a couple days in advance as seating is quite limited, and the restaurant was nearly full both times we went (twice in four days -- it's that good).

This is a super nice Italian restaurant. Cosy with a very friendly and attentive stuff. Food is excellent. We ordered tartare and octopus for starters which were to share and as main tagliatelle and risotto, which I regretted not to have chosen... food was paired with a nice primitivo chosen by the owner. Desert was a delicious chocolate cake with ice cream and fruit. Yummy. Very nice and I’ll definitely come back.

Had a lovely evening at this place. The staff was extremely professional and very well informed about the dishes served and the wines offered. Unfortunately we could not thank the chef personally, hopefully this review will reach him/her. The food was superb and the price represented the quality and service. Very highly recommend!
