I really enjoyed this boat tour. Went on at 9pm for 90mins and was able to see the sunset which was a bonus. Most boat tours are similar in Amsterdam but this was slightly more pricey which I was fine to pay for the location of the pickup and drop off point. You can take your own drink on the boat. There's some space at the back if you want the open air (be careful of kids on bridges with water balloons). Couldn't hear the guide from the back of the boat and there was no space inside at the tables and the headset didn't work with my phone. I wasn't too bothered but something to be aware of if you really want to learn more about the city.

Took the night tour here. Despite the rainy weather, it was so enjoyable and atmospheric. The boat wasn't crowded and each table had an electric candle for the mood. It has glass panels for the roof as well. The route taken covers all the famous spots as well. The admission is also very decently priced. Highly recommend this company if you want to do a river cruise tour.

We took the open small boat tour. It was $90 for four people, plus $5 for tips. The captain was a great storyteller, peppering the trip with history and fun anecdotes. The trip was 75 minutes, it went by in a blur, a testament to just how much Amsterdam has to offer. Some might think a canal tour is a bit too touristy, give it a chance with a nice boat and captain, you'll change your mind.

Agency for cruise excursions on the canals of Amsterdam. You can order tickets both online and on the spot. The excursion itself is interesting and atmospheric. I liked the fact that we were in all the interesting points of the city. Beautiful views. The excursion includes headphones and an audio guide in more than ten languages (Ukrainian, unfortunately, is not on the list yet). Headphones are disposable, they do not work very well, it is better to take your own if possible. The boat has a toilet, which is very convenient, and a small deck where you can go out to enjoy the view (capacity up to 6-8 people). Snacks or drinks are offered only in front of the shuttle, at the kiosk of the company. There is heating on board (sometimes too hot). It is not very good that the ship is packed to the brim and that the seats are three across the table. That is, if you and your partner/friend arrived not 20 minutes before the cruise, but 10, then there is a great risk of sitting down separately, where there are still free seats. Or sit down together, but at a table with strangers. It's not very romantic. In general, I liked the tour, pleasant employees - both in the office and on board (captain).

Loved it! Highly recommend their Tours, we did the 75 minute canal tour as a couple with a 1 year old and it was great. Booth style tables very comfortable, it had a toilet on board and multi language for the guide element. Large boats and can take food/alcohol on board. Highlight of our Trip

Really great experience around Amsterdam. The driver was knowledgeable and funny which made it even better! Super warm on the boat and a toilet too which was great. Also the windows were glass meaning they didn’t fog up or get misty which is sometimes I’ve experienced before with plastic windows in other boats.

a new experience on a canal cruise, which is said to be one of the historical relics by unesco. felt the Netherlands in the 1600s because this canal was used as a very important means of transportation. in this cruise canal also told the history of the buildings that were passed (using various language options, through earphones)

Blue Boat company does such a marvelous job of showing you the beautiful areas in Amsterdam! What better way to avoid all the traffic than to see the city from the beautiful canals. Loved every minute of our tour and would highly recommend them! Very informative tour, so worth it if you want to learn more about the area.

Firstly I should say we are glad we booked in advance and arrived fairly early. Booked a couple of days earlier and booked the 10.30am timeslot at the kiosk at 9.45am that morning so we had time for pancakes first! Good job we booked early as the boat ended up full and many people had to wait for the next boat. The boat itself was nice, all windows which could be opened. The skipper was friendly and helpful too. There are a couple of big steps down into the boat. It was a sunny day so it got quite warm inside, but there was a small outdoor deck at the back you could also go to stand or sit and take photos. They gave out free (wired) headphones to use to listen to the on-board tour guide that plugged into the sockets at the tables. Many different languages were available. We also liked that you're allowed to bring your own food and drink. In fact it's recommended as it's quite a long tour. Overall recommended if you've not been on a canal tour before. A great way to see Amsterdam and a lot of its famous landmarks from a unique perspective.

They really book every seat. But with 15€ is much cheaper than others. But instead of 90 min it’s less. Friendly staff and no food or drinks on board. So you should buy before. I think they provide 10+ languages.

I enjoyed the hr + tour during the day. It was informative and I loved all the diverse history that still exists. Remember to tip your captain people, they ensure you are safe and dry when it rains. Great experience and it comes with audio in 87 languages.

Great experience a must do when you are in Amsterdam to see and understand the city by another perspective, from the canals. They provide an audio tour in different languages explaining important milestone of Netherlands and Amsterdam history. In addition to that the capitan also stop in some places to present it to the passangers with in live. This last about 70-75 minutes and the seats and tables are very comfortable. Even if the weather is not so good, the temporrtaure inside the boat is warm and it is covered, so no problems with cold weather or rain. Recommended!

We arrived less than 10 minutes before departure and were easily able to buy tickets and board. Even with the the boat being covered and glassed in picture taking was good with windows that slide open and the back deck available to step outside. The tour lasted a little over an hour, showing off much of the city. For us it would be better in a shorter period of time as the city does begin to look the same over time. Captain did a good job and was friendly.

Very clean and well maintained! You have to include this tour on your itinerary. We did the (75MIN) 6PM tour, and saw the more charming side of buildings and well lit streets of Amsterdam.

Great way to get a beautiful perspective and history of Amsterdam. The extra time this tour offers compared to others is worth it. Friendly and knowledgeable Captain.

We had a very nice time. It was beautiful and cozy despite rain. The guide was very friendly and kind. Although it is an audio led tour and you buy any drinks and snacks beforehand, we are still glad we did it. The starting point was also nice.

Myself and my partner went on the evening cruise. Was a great experience and money well spent. To see Amsterdam from the water and the night lights on. Was fantastic. I would definitely recommend going with blue boat as the price was great. And the commentary was very good by our captain. And it was very easy and hassle free. Also boat kept me informed and updated of any information. Thanks for a perfect last evening for us in Amsterdam

My boyfriend and I booked the boat tour through the canals for the evening, it all lasts about an hour and a half, a beautiful and relaxing tour that makes you admire Amsterdam from another point of view. Audio guides are included in the ticket and are available in many languages.

Very nice cruise with open boat along the Light Festival in Amsterdam, the open boat is small, about 16-20 persons, they give you a wool blanket to keep under your back and over your legs, and it's cold but not too much, it should be a problem only if it rains. During the cruise the captain speaks in English about the light installations and some curiosities about Amsterdam. 4 stars for two reasons: one because if you seat in front of the boat it's not easy listening to the captain stories, captain speaks loud but sometimes not too much. The second reason is about the "Light Festival" itself, I was expecting something more, with the light technologies of today, artists can do much more... Some installations are repetitive and not dynamict I honestly wouldn't have called him "Light festival", but just artistic lighted installations. By the way I think that the experience worth the money.

The boat trip were very nice. I firstly thought it will only travel in the canals, but also rather in the bay too. There was also a free wifi use while waiting for the boat. On the boat, there are also earphones that you can use as travel guide with over 10 languages to choose from.

Nice Boat Tour trough Amsterdam with a great captain who explained well, comments are available in multiple languages trough audio guide. Price is higher than usual but worth it. Be sure to buy your tickets in advance online to safe money. (Up to 5 € difference ) so only 4 starts

Recommend an evening tour, see the city at night for a more romantic scene. Drinks, snacks bought on the dock before boarding.

Like most other reviews here, we highly recommend taking this wonderful Blue Boat Company's City Canal Cruise and tour of this marvelous city. We did so last July while visiting our daughter and grandchildren who were living in the area at the time. We had a warm, sunny summer day and our excursion sure did please. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and sure help to know what we were looking at.

Audio not really clear, neither synchronized with the location. The round tour for 75’ seemed too long and therefor boring, with the little explanation provided. The service was nice though, nothing to complain. I think there’s better canal tour experiences that one can enjoy in Amsterdam.

it was a very enjoyable tour, with an audio guide, and we learned a lot about the history of the city. Unforgettable views of the buildings from the canals.

I appreciate this for what it is - a large tour company that aims to get the broadest possible audience. This experience is designed for scale, not charm (e.g., pre-recorded tour audio in multiple languages, a captain who is there to drive the boat, not entertain you). It’s sometimes hard to follow what the audio is referencing, but overall it’s a solid, reliable experience that covers more ground (or water) that other tours do.

A nice experience. It was fun to see the view from the canal. The audio tour was a bit dry but the experience was worth the price.

DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR! This was a terrible experience. Our 75 minute tour started 10 minutes late and only lasted 55 minutes! The Captain blared the loudest music and we could not hear the audio tour, which only worked half of the time. The captain seemed drunk or high. In the end I contacted customer service and they refused to even partially refund the partial tour received. Very poorly run. Would not recommend it!

  • 5/5 Tony C. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent evening tour for 90mins, went for the 9pm slot and it was a good amount of remaining daylight to see the sights before sunset in which the city lights up. One of the good parts is the history and knowledge which you wouldn't know unless you looked into it, such as why all the houses are tall and narrow (was to do with tax evasion back in the days!) It's a good way to see the city and all the attractions from the comfort of the boat.

A nice boat tour through the canals of Amsterdam. Its very informative as they provide the audio guide. It is available in multiple languages. The price is bit in the higher side but the ride is very smooth and relaxing. They have an open boat tour as well which costs a little more but could provide more unobstructed views. Better book tickets online as the time slots could get full booked.

  • 4/5 S S. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice boat tours through Amsterdam. Boats are nice and tidy, staff is friendly. There are several languages available in the audio guide. The tour is a bit longer than most other boat rides. Online booking in advance is recommended if you want to save a few euros.

  • 5/5 Cameron J. 1 year ago on Google
Our captain was knowledgeable and funny! We got to see a ton of Amsterdam in about 1 hour 20 minutes - we got tickets through IAmsterdam which covers tons of attractions. Smooth driving too - I get seasick easily but not here! They also have the only wheelchair accessible canal tours in Amsterdam.

  • 4/5 Laurel S. 5 months ago on Google
Conveniently located from where we stayed, and easy to buy tickets just a few minutes before the boat was scheduled to leave. Nice view from the canals and good introduction to the city. Not the most personalized tour because it was all prerecorded but nice that they offered audio recordings in ~20 languages. My only complaint was that the price was higher than what I was expecting from the website (30 euro each, not sure how that compares to other companies). They offer to buy snacks from them but you’re also welcome to bring your own food and drink which was nice. Bathroom available on board. Would recommend if you can afford it but I did notice a few signs for cheaper canals tours walking around the city and I imagine they’re all somewhat similar.

  • 5/5 Deby S. 8 months ago on Google
Highly recommend this canal boat tour. The Captain was so knowledgeable and shared so many great facts of interest. Things you won't see from the street, and the hour long ride was so relaxing and a nice way to take a break from all of the walking! We were able to walk up, buy tickets for the current ride and left within minutes. We had an open boat with maybe 12 people. Much better than a crowded boat like others we passed.

  • 4/5 Yvonne H. 7 months ago on Google
Pretty decent experience. 90 minute tour was a good length. Took my 2 year old toddler and was able to keep him entertained the whole time (bring plenty of snacks). Only issue would be that the audio tour is a bit dry and sparse. Was mostly architectural facts and lots of long silent pauses. Otherwise, the boat was clean and the ride was smooth.

  • 5/5 Jack P. 9 months ago on Google
Went on the Blue Boat Company open ski river cruise! This experience was awesome. We had a really lovely tour guide who was very funny but also informative. His driving skills were incredible and his knowledge of the area was second to none. He didn’t talk the whole time which was nice because you could relax. My suggestion is to go on the open ski as it can get to a lot of places the bigger boats can’t. All in all would highly recommend!
