Extremely organized and well executed process for Residence Cards and BSN for me and my family. The entire experience has been so smooth and streamlined β€” it’s easy to forget that this is a government setup. Amazing infrastructure, very courteous and welcoming staff, step by step clear instructions and guidance provided, timely completion of activities and making this process a pleasure and NOT a stress filled nightmare like in some other countries. Highly recommend people organize their documents and thoughts before entering so that the process is seamless and smooth.

One of the best, kindest immigration office I’ve ever visited. The staffs are very friendly courteous and answer all my questions with a warm smile. They are all happy and amazingly helpful. Often immigration office is cold and mean place but IN Amsterdam is.. they truly communicate with you..

If you're relocating to the Netherlands and you need to register your address, you actually, and also, have to provide a certificate of birth "OFFICIALLY TRANSLATED". For real. Otherwise they don't believe you were born. Update: I brought the certificate, officially translated, wrote with blood, sworn in front of the palace of justice, and they said they only accept one certificate here. If you want to provide a second one, as they requested, you need to go to another office. Seems like a joke if you think they're only open during your same working hours, but they also confirmed that they only work with appointments, no appointments no work, even if the office is empty πŸ‘Œ

I went here twice one for me and for my child. The first time was fine. But the second time the person who took care of the task was extremely slow. They don't like children it seems. Asked us to go out because my child was crying. What kind of child doesn't cry?

They are incredibly organized and polite. They explain everything in detail and guide you. Frankly, I wasn't expecting a refreshing place. Both the place, location and people are very nice. Directly where you get off the tram. Transportation is very simple.

I had a great experience with IN Amsterdam's immigration and registration service. The team remained friendly and efficient despite having my fussy and tired one-year-old twins with me. It was nice to have a personal touch, especially since public services can feel so impersonal. The team provided exceptional service, and even when I forgot my twins' original birth certificates, they were understanding and let me bring them later that day. They made the process easy and enjoyable.

I can give 10 stars if that was an options. Most friendly government office I have been to. The staff starting from reception till the end was most courteous, helpful and respectful. They make you feel welcome and make an amazing impression of the warm and friendly country of The Netherlands. Very easy process and quick too. Thanks for the warmest welcome IN, I will never forget it.

How is it that an immigration office is one of my favorite places? It’s beautiful here and the people are so nice. All countries can learn from IN Amsterdam.

"If only all the staff are as nice as the receptionist" The staff who assisted my family during the registration with the municipality was not very nice and seemed to be in a hurry for another appointment. Despite our complicated family circumstances, the staff was overly cautious, which made the experience not so pleasant. Another Immigration staff member didn't invest enough time to explain in detail. Fortunately, the reception staff were very nice and took our concerns very well.

I’ve lived in a number of countries and this has had to be the smoothest and friendliest immigration/registration process. The staff were welcoming, informative and efficient. I truly appreciated it!

Wow, floored by how a government agency can provide such a delightful and efficient expat experience. Big thanks to the friendly staff here.

It's 11h35 and I'm trying to call. It says "You've reached the in Amsterdam center, we can be reached by phoned between 9h00 and 15h30. We look forward to helping you between those hours", paraphrased, then the line drops. I'm assuming someone turned the phones off for an early lunch

I didn't expect it to be such a great experience to visit this center. Staff is kind, friendly and welcoming, procedure to get resident permit and BNC is fast and takes about 20 minutes. I never expected that level of service from government institution, the bar is really high, it fells like you are the customer for them and important.

Allows you to both register at Amsterdam municipality and (if needed) complete your immigration procedure to get your ID card. It was mostly nice smiles and people happy to help you settle in. Present coffee/drink upon entry. It also has a small are with toys for the little ones. It took much less time than I anticipated.

Coming from another European country where appointments with the authorities were a nightmare, going to IN Amsterdam is the opposite. The staff were extremely helpful and very kind. Everyone was smiling and the procedures were made very clear. Absolutely happy with the service. Thank you!

I visited here in mid Nov and then late Dec for my RP and BSN appointments respectively. Great service! Be-aware of the service charges for both appointments. They also gave us a bag with a lot of resources including local SIMs (Lebara)

Having been at the immigration/registration desks of a few other countries, you are usually greeted with a tepid reception at most. But from the moment I entered the IN Amsterdam office I was greeted with smiling faces. The registration officer named Leman (I apologize if I’m getting the name wrong) was wonderful and patient in answering all my questions. Other countries should definitely take notes from these offices on how to welcome immigrants. A big thank you and huge props to all the staff :)
