I do not recommend this practice. The reception is just about the most unfriendly I have ever experienced at a doctor's office. The customer service is not cohesive in their messaging. I have received three different answers to the same questions on numerous occasions, discouraging me from wanting to seek any medical advice here. It's almost as though they don't want to treat you, especially if you are a foreigner.

I had the worst experience with the service provided. The front desk reception was very disrespectful. They even laughed at me and tried to make me feel bad. I was only trying to become a customer. But after this experience I will definetely not. Please do not ever treat people like this again.

awful practice. Any opportunity to mess up they have taken over only a few months. They have incorrectly indicated a medicine dosage for my toddler - pharmacist caught it. It took 5 calls over a month to correctly refer me to another doctor. Getting a prescription filled by them still eludes me - have called twice and even once they called to confirm they filed it with pharmacy & still no luck in being able to fill the prescription. Truly awful practice.

Would highly recommend seeking another GP, the audacity to refuse to refill important medication and not communicate that refusal is unacceptable

Very unfriendly receptionist when I went, in line with other experiences from expats. As I am a student they just wanted to charge me for the treatment, assuming I don’t have any European healthcare. Nothing got explained. Doctors make no more than 5 minutes time and give medical advice based on the costs of it.

Rather unprofessional and not great bedside-manner. After asking for a sample, the receptionist pulled her face when I gave it to her. It's bad enough feeling sick and worried.

Sigh,,, let's just hope if I could rely on their practice, if I could feel confidence that they treat me well and if I could hear that they are actually caring me instead of screaming on me.

Was hesitant to visit the clinic because of the reviews I seen but I Just had my "eerste Afspraak" here at the practice and I must say it went smoothly. The assistant was quick to schedule me in the week before and very accomodative when I arrived, the Huisarts, dr. Martis was very cooperative and really listens to my qualms and impediments and is very helpful to suggest futher appointments for my medical needs. Made a good impression for me on the practice. Keep it up.

I had a biking accident in the area on a Saturday and needed stitches. I tried my luck and went to the practise. The staff managed to squeeze me in without an appointment. Doctors were friendly and I was quickly treated. Would recommend!

My family has been with Dr. Wassenaar for almost 4 years and we are quite happy with her! Always listen to our complaints and do the necessary checks (only if really needed of course).

I have been a patient here for 1.5 years and have received excellent care for illnesses, including a planned surgery, I had since then! The GP listens really well, and is able to explain different courses of actions well. Dr. Wassenaar comes across as extremely knowledgeable while also very caring. The receptionists are also very kind and accessible. Making appointments is accessible as well. I can especially recommend this GP because my previous GP had none of these attributes, so I am extremely happy with my GP and this office, and trust them for my future medical care!

I understand the gatekeeping strategies in the healthcare system in Netherlands, but they go as far as possible to discourage care if you need any tests. I had many times people at the reception doubting my symptoms, being rude and even "explaining" me why my concerns are ignorant/non relevant (and it turned out I was right in the end, and had to deal with illness for far longer than I should have...). Today I had again an awful service from the person at the desk, she was rude and careless, I truly wait until I am extremely sick to avoid going there, only if it's my only choice. Doctors are ok, but you might not even reach them because of some of the personnel in the desk. It seems that this mistreatment might be particularly for expats, they seem kinder with dutch patients. If you are an expat and you have a choice, go somewhere else.

Awful practice and psychologist. They are judgmental about expats and if you are an expat do not choose this practice. They have no idea about emergency situations, old fashioned appointment system and so on. They took my 2 full hours for nothing. They first should learn about ethics and expats. Otherwise, they can stop promoting themselves as a good GP. Like a small village practice, skip it.

Don't go there! It is the second time in a short period that we've been told by the receptionist that the doctor cannot see my child because his symptoms are not enough to visit the doctor . When finally got an appointment, the doctor diagnosed an ear and throat infection that required antibiotic treatment. Enough! We will move to another practice because it is just unacceptable that a receptionist can make decisions about who can or can't see a doctor or if these or those symptoms are important enough...

I've been here for 3 years now. All GPs are sweet and very competent, everyone is happy with it. GP Karaer was great, it's a shame he's gone. But the receptionist (saskia/sophie/doesn't want to say her name..) is someone you should fire immediately. I have already had 3 times where she says she will pass on messages to the GP but does not do so. (And I only call once every few months, so not often). She can never help you in any way, for example with arranging a referral, appointment or speaking to you. She also always acts as if she doesn't know which doctor you are seeing and schedules you with the wrong doctor. (remarkably) I can never find repeat medication in the system and cannot order it, even though I have been chronically taking the same medication every day for 2.5 years. Because she does not want to prescribe this or acts as if there is nothing in the system, my health is at risk. When I ask if I can put someone else on the line who might be willing to help me, she hangs up. She has already blocked my telephone number a few times, I am immediately transferred and told that I will be called back, but that does not happen. I've had this 3 times already. Today I called the emergency line and then I got her on the phone again, then she hung up again and didn't want to help me any further. Last time I even received a complaint from one of the general practitioners at the university general practice about this receptionist. She complained about her own colleague. I have the feeling that this lady is discriminating or does not want to work for some other reason. I think that your practice and the people who are ill are really in danger because of this receptionist and I would really take the complaints here on Google seriously. I want to file an official complaint, but I keep getting this woman on the phone, so I would like your contact details.
