Really cool interior and friendly staff. Wish there were some more seafood choices, but what they do have is good. The unlimited fries are dangerous in a good way!

The service was good. The waitress/bartender was very friendly and never in a rush even though they were busy. The food was good. The happy hour drinks have hardly any alcohol in it. If you get regular drinks they are very pricey. Ask for the price of the drinks or get a sticker shock when you get the bill.

I ordered a hamburger dry (no dressing) with an order of fries for my mom at the take out window. After a 30 minute wait to get the food, I went to my moms and found the burger was plain (no lettuce, no tomato, no onions) and the fries were over cooked. I called to let the manager know that I was not happy with my order, I was put on hold for 10 minutes, then someone hung up the phone. Update: I called back, the manager made good by crediting my account.

Here's the thing. The location is great, the atmosphere is cool, the views out of the north side of the restaurant are fabulous. But the food is like low grade Sysco food. Even the drinks and beer selection are just ok. Kind of like going to TGI Fridays or Applebees. Also the burger with add ons for bacon and tortilla soup was nearly $18. The short premium beer was 8.50. I would go elsewhere.

Came for lunch it was a busy. Service was good, the Hawaiian burger was great and needed plenty of napkins. The fries are really good and the spinage dip was tasty. Nice tropical trees and plants surrounding the restaurant and surfing playing on tv's.

Fantastic happy hour. Try the Mai tais!!!

Great food, friendly and quick service. And they always offer outdoor seating which I consider a huge plus in Orange County weather!

We live around the block and eat here regularly. We always get the Shorebird and turkey Big Wave. Service and quality is always impeccable. Extra points for consistency. 👏

We used to live in Orange County, and we were visiting friends still in Orange County today, so it had been at least a few years since I had been to this Islands. We had such a delightful experience! The service was super nice and friendly. Sophia was very patient and explained a lot of items for one of our party that had a lot of questions. She checked back on us frequently and delivered drink refills with a smile. The food was even better than I remembered too! It's not typical that a place gets BETTER, so I recommended to my friend that we come back when we're in town again. They are doing something right here.

Lunch at Islands Restaurant was awesome. My friend and I are regulars there for lunch. We have lunch specials there usually. But everything on the menu is really tasty . We ask to be in Lauren's section. She is really great and always coming around at the right times for refills, etc. I would recommend Islands to all my friends.

Islands has always been my burger place. So much better than Inn n out with so much more flavor. Many items that I enjoyed are no longer on the menu and it is less flavorful than I remember but it is still my burger joint.

Sat night, our waitress was awesome. Very nice and friendly. Food was good. She was on top of our drinks all night and the food order was accurate. Hip hip hooray.

This is the second time I’ve had a problem with this Islands restaurant. First time the server tipped himself 100$ now it looks like they charged my card twice but they were tricky. Same day same amounts but looks like they adjusted it so the bank wouldn’t spot it but I did. What the hell is up with this location? Nice location but thieves for sure!! Note to others: PAY IN CASH SO YOU DONT GET ROBBED!!!!!! People are struggling so this place has some nerve!!!! Disgusted!!!!

Went to Happy Hour. Got the lil sliders... OMGOSH YUM!!!!! Definately recommend. The 3 lil burger sliders had ketchup, grilled onions & crunchy onion & a pickle (Wish they each had 2 pickles instead of just 1) I didn't think it sounded all that great, but got them anyway. They were soooo tasty!!! I'd get them again for sure! For my drink, I got Brewery-X beer called "Slap & Tickle" - yum. One of my favs, but always gives me a headache the next morning....so that part is a bummer. I only had 2, BUT the flavor is delicious! Service was great at the bar & so were all the people. Fun! Maybe I'll see you there next time!

It's funny how you always end up getting a hamburger, even though their menu has a LOT of other stuff. I think their burgers are the best. Their French Fries need some standardizing. The salt levels are pretty random along with the sizes.

Excellent casual dining restaurant. Their Kilaeua burgers are excellent and vegetarians have the option of getting this burger with a veggie patty or a Beyond Meat burger.

I had a weird experience here. My service was nice but, gave me the wrong order, forgot an item on my order, then when I asked for a refill of water, I was given a refill after I finished my meal. Would I come here again? No. I think I can find other establishments that have better food, prices, and services.

Islands will always be one of my favorite places to eat. I'm not a vegetarian but unfortunately, I must limit how much meat I eat now. Luckily for me I've been eating their veggie burger for years just because I like it. Sometimes I even order the veggie patty with bacon, and they look at me like I'm crazy lol. I told my son about it, and he tried it for the first-time last week, and he loved it.

About once a month, a group of us (Reired USPS) meet here for lunch. This week was the first ime we went on a Monday. It seemed like the "B" team was working, slow service, less than juicy burgers, and an overall sense of "so what". Not really a big deal as most places have the same issues on Mondays. We expect more, afterall we spent our working careers providing good customer service in all conditions. It's definitely time to find another place to meet.

Great experience! Fast service, fantastic selection on the menu -- if you get the Nachos, ask for them to add a diced chicken breast to it -- perfect addition! Our table also had the northshore tacos and toucan sandwich -- excellent food, excellent service.

Great food and decent prices. I'd say everything costs a bit too much for the portion size but the ingredients are high quality. The burgers and sandwiches are always good and their chicken tortilla soup is fantastic. Service is very good, if sometimes a bit slow but everyone is always friendly. I've been getting everything to go curbside recently and they do a great job. It's easy to order on the phone, pay over text or at curbside, and they bring everything out to you. They even keep the toppings separate so your burger doesn't get soggy. Update: Basically the exact opposite of everything I wrote above. Prices are even higher now and portion sizes are smaller than ever. I've been here a few times and it's just as bad every time, if not worse. Honestly, I don't know why I keep coming. The burgers are really dry and have no seasoning whatsoever. I tried a chicken sandwich instead and the whole thing was super dry and extra thin. It was maybe the size of half a chicken tender. The fries, if I actually get them don't have any seasoning half the time and taste like starchy cardboard. If I get them refers to the fact that on 4 separate occasions now, they brought out the burgers without fries because they weren't ready yet. The only issue is, we're always done eating by the time the fries come out and we're ready to leave. Of course they are still on the bill though. I've ordered to go as well and they just don't seem to care anymore. The sandwiches are soggy, half the food is cold by the time I get to the car, and there's always something missing. I've done the call in to have them bring it out and had to call back because apparently they forgot or just didn't feel like bringing it out to me. Service is just as bad as the food. Besides the fact that my food doesn't even arrive to the table sometimes, we end up waiting for everything. 10-15 minutes to be seated even though more than half the tables are empty. 5 minutes just waiting to order drinks after being seated, another 10 minutes to get them, and then another 5 minutes to get our order in. It doesn't sound like a lot but we're in there for almost 45 minutes before we even get the food. One time we ended up leaving because we stood at the host stand for almost 5 minutes while the employees talked in the back. I understand it's been difficult for a lot of businesses these past few years but this is just ridiculous. I don't know what happened but they either need to get a new GM and new staff or just move out so something decent can move in.

Super cool, islands has been the #1 in high end burgers since my 1st time in 1992...

0 stars if a I could Box Mac & cheese Pineapple stem will be served Chili cheese fries (except no chili) Kid’s menu comes with a drink (except they won’t offer you it) Over priced and over hyped. Most crispy plastic fries come with your burger Not for foodie people that like real flavors

Every time I've been to this location it's been great. The strawberries on the butter came were a little light but overall so yummy.

Food was great. Best sweet potato fries. French fries were perfect. Hawaiian burger was great and so was the Huli Huli chicken sandwich.

Food was great, service was wonderful. I especially appreciated the manager walking around and checking on each table! 👍
